My personal experience with the family law department of the firm was disappointing, unfortunately.
I got my divorce and finance papers finalised in the end, however, experienced numerous communication problems and delays throughout the process. I did not feel like my case was a priority. I also experienced issues with billing, and felt like I had to check each invoice not to be overcharged.
Finally, one of my original documents was not returned from court, and the firm instead of supporting me in tracing it, tried to deny they had ever received it from me. I was shocked by this attitude from a professional legal firm.
I successfully complained to The Legal Ombudsman.

I dealt with Philip on a family law matter. He was totally on top of the legal issues and very practical in his approach. He was also careful on costs and sensitive to the personal issues involved. I would thoroughly recommend him as a very professional and reliable lawyer.

I cannot recommend James Thornton, Head of Litigation at Fiona Bruce, highly enough. Honest, open, patient ( especially with some of my questions ! ) good humoured and most of all extremely savvy. He took charge of our case involving fraudulent misrepresentation of our house purchase and delivered us a resounding victory. He took care to explain the legal complexities in a way we could understand, offer insight into how he would advise the other party if he was representing them, and ultimately let us make the decisions. Litigation is a daunting and tedious prospect at times ; it takes some courage and staying power. James however, really did make the process as seamless, streamlined and supported as it could be. Extremely satisfied customers !

We wanted to write a will, but kept putting it off. Eventually we chose Fiona Bruce solicitors because they were local. Steve Grey made it very easy. He spoke in plain English and gave us good advise, when we needed it. It was very painless
