I honestly had the best time and would recommend them to anyone! The accommodations, the trip itself, the people... I will never forget this amazing experience

The thing I appreciated the most about First Abroad was how available the staff made themselves to answer my questions about my trip to Tanzania. I was never a pest or being inconvenient. There was no question that was too silly and I could never ask enough. I always got a timely, friendly and helpful response. And the enthusiasm with which they delivered it (not to mention the enthusiasm simply shared over my trip) made me feel supported through the entire process. Even after the US office I was working with closed and all contact moved to the UK (a move which left me feeling nervous and apprehensive) the transition proved seamless. My only quibble would be that some of the information provided to me about my volunteer service project was outdated. One of the orphanages I hoped to volunteer at had shut down, and another had moved. The information about being able to access money also made it seem like it would be much more challenging than it was. Overall, I would say that the packets sent out to volunteers could bear freshening up periodically to avoid panic (reading it made me feel like I'd be walking into an endless swarm of mosquitoes and blackouts with severely limited access to any funds despite the suggestion not to carry any on me) and frustration upon arrival onsite. But I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the staff and their passion for the work they do.

I cannot thank First Abroad enough for helping me coordinate my trip to Australia! After reading all of the positive reviews about FirstAbroad, I decided to choose this company and I am happy I did! No regrets whatsoever. Not only was the whole process cut out for me but the customer service is exceptional! Leah, my Travel Services Coordinator, was very detailed and addressed all of my questions and concerns promptly. I couldn't have gone on this trip without her! Thank you FirstAbroad.

Leah has been awesome from the beginning. I had a bit of an atypical journey here, and she has accommodated me very well…so easy to work with. She's walked me through every step of the way and I am certainly enjoying my time in Thailand. Can't wait for more!

My travel services coordinator Leah was SO helpful and answered all of my questions in a timely fashion. I thought it was really nice to receive an email a few days into my trip checking in to make sure I arrived and was navigating safely. She was super nice and seemed genuienly excited for me and my trip. I felt prepared and well informed for my trip and overall Australia was an amazing experience. I would definitely book through you guys again and recommend to friends.

Leah was extremely helpful during my whole process of going abroad. She was quick to answer all my questions, to the extent that she would always respond with an email within 24 hours. I was so appreciative of this because sometimes I was stressed about visas, doctors appointments, and other requirements. I found that First Abroad allowed me to travel, earn some money, and have experience in a school, all in one. Doing this program was one of the best decisions I've made. Thank you Leah!

I had looked thru the pages and pages of information on the internet and spoken with many families over the past year about a 'GAP' year.
This program appears to have answered every question. I didn't want a gap of get-a-way fun for a whole year. This program offers the best of all worlds (no pun intended). My daughter wants to travel and become a teacher. She will have 11 months to be an assistant and work (which is key to me for responsibility) and learn and grow. With the vacation times during the 11 months there will be some fun and travel, I'm sure it is the answer the the next best move God had in store for us. Thank you so much Kevin.

I love this program, I'm headed out to Australia in a couple months and have extreme jitters, so much so that I was on the verge of an anxiety attack. In the middle of this I emailed my trip coordinator, (Leah is amazing guys!) with some questions and she was on top of it for me. Easing many of my fears that were causing my panic. I am still super excited and can't wait to see what's in store for me when I arrive.
I'm extremely thankful that I found this program, I've been looking for a long while now to go abroad. First Abroad has helped me obtain that and for that I will always recommend them to anyone.

As a parent of a world traveler, my nerves have been tested a few times. My daughter has just returned from a trip to S. Africa arranged by First Abroad that was fabulous. Last minute, I had some misgivings about her traveling by herself to S. Africa and called First Abroad. Leah was a godsend, she helped me get some last minute travel changes in place that made the trip for both my daugther and myself an even more memorable trip.

I just want to thank Leah and First Abroad for the most amazing trip of my life! The only thing I disliked was the fact that I didnt book the 4wk instead of the 2wk. Leah was there for me all the way until the day before I left. She was always quick to respond and was very informative. I will definitely be booking another trip soon! Highly recommended!

I've been in contact with First Abroad for the past 8 months in regards to the AbsoluteOz program and they have been nothing but helpful and supportive. They have guided me through every step I've taken and made this process as easy as possible.

I knew that I wanted to get away from home and explore the world. After looking at a lot of trips and companies, First Abroad seemed like the best bet. I have yet to have an issue and my trip expert has been very knowledgeable about how to prepare myself for the trip. I leave on January 3rd!

I planned my trip through first abroad only a month in advance and the trip I would have preferred to go on was already booked and they sent me many alternatives that were almost identical for me to go on. They responded very quickly and were very friendly. My trip was amazing and I didnt run into any problems. Well worth the money and would recommend to anybody.

Recently took part in the Thai Adventure and had an incredible time. The staff were amazing and helped me prepare every step of the way. Loved it!!!

The representatives were very helpful and answered all my questions promptly. They made the process easy to follow and very quick.

I spent a month at this amazing Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa that I found through First Abroad's website.

Naturally I was worried about going, it was my first trip away without my family and I was planning on doing it completely alone.. eek!

Thankfully First Abroad were so welcoming and made me feel really at ease.. apparently lots of people were as nervous as I was (although I think that's just them being polite)

They put up with my endless questions and prepared me so well before I went away. I found the info in my online account really helpful as well, especially the Kit List as I had no idea what to take with me!

The Sanctuary itself was a wonderful experience, exactly what I was after. A really hands-on project with a huge variety of weird and wonderful animals that you're able to get up close and personal with. I was even lucky enough to hand rear a Serval Kitten (google them, THEY'RE SO CUTE!)

I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Was the best experience of my life!

I'm off to New Zealand in the Fall, and First Abroad has been amazing answering any and all of my questions. Max has been helping me determine that this is the right program for me, and putting my mind at ease by confirming how the First Abroad Program fulfills all my desires and questions. He has answered with facts, and links online to back-up his statements so I know it is true. I booked over the phone with him and it was easy, quick, and the people are just excited for my trip as I am. The program coordinator has now sent me lots of helpful information on the itinerary, visa application, transportation, etc. As far as the booking process and build-up for the trip has gone so far, I would recommend others to look into doing this program.
