Disappointed in lockdown
Amidst the covid19 outbreak, I expected some delays with communication and delivery of my order. I did not expect to wait over a month for an order I was told would take 5 working days. Whenever I emailed, I received automated responses. The emails instructed any customer who had waited more than 10 working days to contact the company by phone and to email their accounts department. I did this many times to no avail. Eventually, a month after placing my order, somebody did answer my call. They initially told me that I had not paid for shipping, something my credit card statement and the invoice they provided me with would prove otherwise. I was then placed on hold for a while whilst he investigated my order. I was told the salesman would call me back after consulting with his manager. At this point I informed him that I had moved and due to the lockdown situation I wanted to ensure my delivery would arrive at my new address. There was some error regarding the picking of my order which was never explained to me, no apology was given. I repeated my request for the change in delivery address in writing but the email reply did not acknowledge my request. A few days after I eventually received the delivery- but at the wrong address.

Having looked into the history of your order, I can see that you did request to have your order's delivery address changed and our sales team failed to acknowledge it. All I can do is apologise for this.
For context sake, at the time you placed your order, we had over 1,000 strikingly similar orders awaiting shipment throughout the UK & Ireland. While I empathise that the reasons behind your change of address were likely beyond your control, with that amount of orders shipping at one time, I'm sure you can understand that it would have been awfully difficult for us to change one address without causing greater confusion. We also had a notice on our web checkout at the time informing customers that we were unable to make any such changes due to an unprecedented number of incoming orders and requesting everyone thoroughly check their orders before finalizing them.
Nevertheless, we should have acknowledged your query and been more informative. Please accept my sincere apologies for this and I hope that you will still try shopping with us again in the future.
