IMac was running very slow, , Fixmybrokenmac offered the best diagnosis and quote in a very businesslike way compared to others I tried, they fitted a new SSD drive and now my iMac is running perfectly. Nice people who give good advice.

Like many, I've read the reviews and thought: "Really? Are they really that good?" Answer: Yip, yip, yippity, yip.

New battery, cable and a couple of other tweaks all done within 20 minutes after arriving. Can't talk to a Genius in the Apple shop in that time, let alone have a repair! Assumed I'd be writing the whole day off but nope, nope, noppity nope.

And they're jolly nice guys to boot. FMBM. 100% recommended.

Could not be happier! I opted for the express diagnosis and repair, and the problem was diagnosed within 5 mins; it had a motherboard issue. Whilst they said it would take 24 hours to fix, the machine was ready to collect within 2 hours. An absolutely perfect and relaxed process. I can't recommend enough, will be definitely using again.

Edit: My original review is still below but I do have to edit it because it is no longer accurate. My laptop, unfortunately, is still not operating as it should, which to an extent is understandable if not acceptable as I know the problem is rather difficult else it wouldn't have gone to so many stores before here. My issue is I have asked to be kept in the loop and whilst I was offered a call with the lead technician, several days went by without communication. When I did call for an update I was told that my laptop was being sent back with no work having been completed besides a reset. Something that had been tried several times before without any success. Currently, my laptop is still not working and I certainly haven't been made to feel valued as I believed I was before. To their credit, however, the first time I sent my laptop back was without fuss. However, on the other hand, my laptop still doesn't work and I will have to send it back again. It remains to be seen whether a resolution will be reached and if I shall have any difficulty obtaining the service level and value I expect and have paid for.

Will, Joey and crew were very professional and patient, taking the time to answer most if not all of my questions almost instantly. I've just got my laptop back and it works perfectly, fingers crossed it'll continue to do so for a while. Two points of note, they didn't do a clean install which is usually the first thing people do but is often entirely unnecessary for certain problems. Always back up your data regardless, but it's good to know they do what is required rather than going through the motions and saves you a long wait when you get your hardware back. Secondly, they fixed a motherboard issue by replacing the components rather than the entire board like Apple would insist upon which is cheaper and demonstrates a high level of technical prowess. Do yourself a favour and come here first. I could have saved myself a lot of time and money if I'd known about them first.

These guys are amazing! My laptop battery was not working and it was fixed within three hours.

I feel completely reassured by what they did to my Mac - it works beautifully; getting it upgraded rather than buying a new one was the right thing to do.

Scam! I took my MacBook (liquid damage )pro after looking at the amazing review they have on google and here on Trustpilot. What a disgrace. They rang me the next day and gave me a quote which is a way too pricey. They said it will cost me too much and its worth buying used mac from them. They tried hard to convince me to leave my mac with them and they will give me 50 pounds for my Macbook Pro ( Touchbar late 2017). They also said they are doing a favour by offering me 50 pounds as it is just a piece of metal and its worth nothing. As a customer, I feel disturbed when I hear such a thing. I would have let them repair my mac if they wouldn't have tried to convince me to leave my mac with them. I took my MacBook to a different company and they found some of the key screws and part are missing. However, I was able to fix my MacBook for a fraction of cost these scam artist asked me to pay. Stay away from them, as it appears that these people are not skilled enough to conduct complex task . Mr Will from mybrokenmac claimed that his engineers only performed a visual inspection and gave me quote without conducting a through inspection.

After opening the machine, we have quickly discovered that the battery screw (which is a very specific and expensive one) is missing and there are still a number of corrosion residues and spots on the motherboard. During visual inspection under microscope, we have also discovered a number of removed parts: FB201, F3001, F4500, F8400 (these components were desoldered), and DB570, D3302, UB600, U3400 (these components were mechanically ripped off the board, partially with pads and tracks). At this stage we have informed customer immediately about what we have found so far.

All aspects were perfect. I rely on my Mac for my work, the speed of turnaround from drop-off to pick-up was so much quicker than expected. I felt relaxed after being quickly contacted with the issue and knowing it was a quick fix.
Customer services at its best from initial phone contact before visiting the shop to picking up my laptop. Couldn’t ask for more during Covid (oh almost forgot to mention - as a sterile freak. The new normal experience in the shop also made for a good experience with regards to cleanliness.

I’m very possessive over my Mac, and very few people have ever been anywhere near it! However, Fixmybrokenmac was recommended by someone who loves his equipment even more than me! Joe was incredibly helpful, managed to fit me in, and 2 hours later I had my Mac back with a new SSD hard drive. The performance now is astonishing, and Joe was really helpful post the repair. Took my iMac in for a graphics card fix and a ssd drive upgrade on a Monday and got it back on Wednesday we’ll happy with the speed of service and the iMac great service and communications throughout totally recommend these guys true professionals

Brilliant from start to finish, under difficult circumstances. Mac was liquid damaged, which was fixed. A Bluetooth issue cropped up, they collected it back the next day and fixed, only for it to crop up again and they repaired it again, putting a new card in. All working perfect! Will & the team thank you!

Recently I was unsuccessfully trying to get onto an online networking meeting, when I spotted that the power lead for my MacBook had stopped working. Panic set in. I sent a text to Will at Fix My Broken Mac and within a couple of hours I was working again. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Fitted a new screen to my son's iPhone in the time it took me to have a coffee and do some emails.
As I collected it I asked them to look at a nagging charging issue on my phone (thought I needed the lightning port replacing) - they found a tiny stone wedged in there and fixed it there and then with no charge.

My Mac, despite being only 2 years old, was running very, very slowly. After having a new ssd hard drive fitted it runs like new. The new hard drive wasn't cheap, but I was more than happy to pay the price to get my Mac running properly again.
