Ordered £2,500 Stove on 8th August 2022 and it finally arrived 15th November! No proactive communication from "Danny" (very elusive) and had to chase and chase. In the end, order only finally progressed once I made contact with Paul, UK Sales Manager of Barbas Belbas Fires. He was brilliant.
When the stove finally arrived, it was without any notice and left blocking the front door in the rain! Lucky we weren't away for the weekend.
Bottom line - use anyone else but not By The Fire South Online / South Coast / Poole

I telephoned to check stock availability and again to confirm that I had placed an online order. The gentleman was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping and giving best advice. The fire was despatched within a couple of days and arrived safely, well-packed and exactly as described. The price was very competitive. Overall, an excellent experience. Thank you. E Harkin

Avoid this company. Danny has had £2500 of our money for over 3 months. He was unable to carry out the delivery and fitting of a wood burner. He infrequently replies to emails and the website number is only an answer phone service. We will be proceeding with the small claims court to get our money back

Do no purchase from this company and/or by bank transfer. I ordered a fire and they wanted a bank transfer (Mistake! vs C Card), no news or delivery when promised and then they said supplier issue and should take another week. Again no news. I Chased again. I chased once again and asked for my money back with a deadline. no response. I am now at the start of the process of engaging trading standards and my bank in a dispute procedure. Weeks time i start with small court process. Needless to say draw you conclusions if this is a good company to deal with

Reached out to Danny as we were in need of a fireplace. Not only did Danny help us chose the right model for our home but his team that installed it were fantastic. Super knowledgeable and caring throughout the whole process. Highly recommend.

Really happy with the fire and the install by Sam was excellent. Danny helped us choose the right fire and came by to check it would all work fine. Looks awesome! My only feedback would be more contact if things are delayed and clarity around payment terms, but talking it through with Danny helped clear things up. The team did what they promised and that’s all I could ask, great job, thanks again!

They helped us decide on what was best for our project with excellent guidance and support from start to finish. They were very happy to come out each time we made changes to what we wanted, nothing was too much trouble. Great workmanship both in fitting the fire and all the associated wood work. All the guys that worked on the project were very good and carried out the work in a decent and professional manner.

Visited Danny on a number of occasions when trying to decide on a wood burner. Each time he couldn't do enough and was happy to talk through lots of options. He answered all the queries we had and helped us settle on one. The showroom is beautifully laid out with lots of ideas, it's spacious and there was no rush to make a decision. Install has just been completed and we couldn't be happier with the results. The fitters turned up on time and were extremely tidy completing the job on time. It's now a focal point of the room now.

Looking forward to the cold winter evenings so we can put it to good use!
