Top top service. Over the moon..

Recently bought a fire place from Bythefire and couldn't be more pleased. Had a fire place installed into an area of my guest room that I didn't think possible but these guys worked their magic! Very professional service from start to finish and at a surprisingly good price!

Worst UK company I have ever dealt with

Worst UK company I have ever dealt with
Bought an elegant circular bio-fuel fire in January. Delivery 3 weeks, wanted payment in full £2000
2 months later said lost it!
Then went into silent mode - didn’t answer 24 emails, 8 phone calls
Finally contacted me said full refund and sorry re their appalling service
I said I would prefer the fire
They said 3 weeks
2 months later they said we’re going to order it!
I cancelled order and asked for full refund
They went into silent mode again for a month
Danny then responded said fire was now in stock and if we didn’t want we would have to pay £600 “restocking fee”!
DONT USE THIS COMPANY

Avoid! They don’t honor refunds

I cancelled my order within a few hours. They took full payment and still haven’t refunded me weeks later. Don’t respond to emails either. Dodgy! Avoid completely!
Make sure you use PayPal or a credit card with these crooks to protect yourself!

First class service and amazing fire

We have recently had a beautiful fire supplied and installed by Danny from By The Fire.
Superb service and communication from day 1.
We cannot recommend him and his installation team highly enough.

Personal and professional - Excellent!

I am so pleased I used By the Fire for the purchase of my Celsi Electriflame fire. Danny was so helpful in explaining delivery times and even beat his estimate of 3 weeks! Daisy was brilliant with communication about shipping and kept us in the loop with delivery updates and tracking numbers. Couldn’t recommend more highly! Thanks so much :)

They took my money, then seemingly disappeared

I placed an order for an outdoor wood stove; before ordering I emailed to find out what the lead time was for dispatch, and was told that I could expect delivery in four weeks.

That is the last I have heard from this company. Seven weeks later, and they have still not responded to any of my emails, my WhatsApp messages, or phone calls. In the end, I have had to rely on my credit card provider to issue a refund and take up my case with the retailer directly. I have also submitted a complaint about the retailer to Trading Standards.

I am not alone: a short stroll through the other reviews online, both here and on Facebook, should satisfy you that my case is not an isolated incident. Several people have parted with their hard-earned money to the retailer only to be met with a wall of silence. How many times should a business be allowed to do this before we start to wonder whether they are behaving ethically?

At a time when small retailers are struggling, the audacity of this one to thumb its nose at the business coming its way is astonishing, and shameful.

The range of outdoor stoves I believe you are referring to have been very popular and we are hoping to take the delivery of stock imminently. Unfortunately they are shipped from Norway and with the impact of both Covid and Brexit shipments are taking much longer then we had anticipated, as a small retailer this has impacted us also. We have tried to keep all customers as up to date as possible during this time.

I have checked for your order based on the name given in your review and have been unable to locate your details at this stage. So that I can resolve your complaint and ensure that you receive a prompt refund please could you email me directly on admin@bythefireonline.co.uk.

Bought fire on line. Received order acknowledgment then nothing. Found it was out of stock. Emails are automated. Phone number is an answering service. Did not receive refund, had to claim via barclaycard.

Should have read all negative comments on face book, this guy does the above to customers all the time.
