The flooring I ordered never arrived

The flooring I ordered never arrived. After three weeks and a lot of emails I finally got my money back. From my experience I could not recommend this company.

All 5 packs were delivered damaged.


Initially it all looked good when I placed the order 5 packs of
Egger Pro Aqua Plus 8mm Kingsize Light Santino Stone EPL126 Laminate Flooring.

The arrival date fitted in with my plans of replacing the kitchen flooring over the weekend.

However, on delivery by DPD (number 68 drop off) 2 of the 5 packs had sustained significant visual damage.
On unwrapping the tops of the packaging the other three were damaged around the corners and one appeared to have been sent out damaged.
Only one pack out of the 5 had 5 usable planks.

The DPD driver didn't appear to understand English and there was no paper work to sign stating received as damaged.

I contacted FV by phone and sent the photos by email as requested asking for a full refund. (The actual company is CENTRAL FLOORS LTD )

However, rather than give me a full refund, which is what I requested and entirely in my right to do so. I was surprised to find that they were shipping 4 replacement boxes (not 5) stating I can keep the damaged planks to be used as off cuts.
The delivery date I was given was sometime in the week.

This has all been rather inconvenient, as I have had to try and work around the unknown delivery dates and reschedule the floor fitting. As well as having most of the kitchen appliances moved out of the kitchen ready for the flooring replacement.

Personally I would not use this company again for any of my projects.

Very fast customer service, 5 stars.

I recently purchased 4 packs of LVT tiles, 5 tiles were damaged in transit and Flooring Village sent out the replacement pack asap, new tiles were received the day after. Very good quality product and customer service, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience with this company

Fantastic experience with this company. The laminate I ordered is superb quality and we are so happy with the finish. We had our deliver on time. We did have a pack damaged but Jack happily sent a new pack out to us. No issues nice genuine company

Pretty useless

Pretty useless. I wanted some samples for a large contract, I only lost £2.99 but they lost a potential order of hundreds of pounds as I never received any samples in spite of me getting back to them twice.
I’d give this company a miss if I was you

I would rate lower if I could

I am only giving you one star because I could not give you less.

I requested an order on the 5th November, and I had to phone up on the 15th to ask the same questions in as those in my email because I assume you had just ignored the email until I chased you for it. I then asked what flooring goes with a certain underlay and your sales administrator did not know what products should be sold together.

After another day I phoned back again having to speak with someone with more technical knowledge just to see what would be sold together. I asked more than once the delivery time frame and was informed this would be 3-4 days. Once placed I then had to phone when the products did not arrive. And the company did not even know if the flooring had left they warehouse or not.

When the order was raised the pricing was then incorrect and I was advised this was due to VAT. It was not the person simply gave a condescending email saying I was confused over the charge. The fees had the subtotal lower than the total with no discounts shown and the vat was charged at 12% of the total which is not correct. If you took this figure as without the vat fee then by adding 20% on it would be £50 more expensive. I notified the company of this to avoid any delays as I needed the products asap.

I made sure about the delivery times as I booked a week off work to do this job. It is now 7 working days later and there is still no flooring and I have wasted my time off, I imagine I will not be able to complete the job and I have wasted the week off waiting around for this to not show up.

This is not the first time I have ordered from this company, the first time I ordered online knowing the products I needed and it was so easy. Trying to talk to anyone in this company just turned the whole experience to a joke as it seemed like everything they touched they got wrong. I am awaiting my order as I have a feeling that they have not sent me enough flooring after telling them I wanted 9 packs and they told me I only needed 8.

Great Customer Service

Original order unfortunately had an item missing.
I sent an email to ask about it, received a reply back the same day, with the missing item being posted out the following day.
Great service to quickly resolve the problem, would definitely purchase from again.

Ordered laminate flooring from this…

Ordered laminate flooring from this company and the locking mechansim is poor. Half of the box does not lock in place or does not sit flush rendering it unusable. Contacted the company to ask for a refund and for the floor to be picked up. Flooring Village emailed back to say that the floor had been fitted incorrectly and that I should follow the instructions provided. Had a second opinion from a joiner who confirmed that it was being fitted correctly and that the flooring was poor quality with inconsistent tongue and grooves. 1 box opened out of 6 and roughly 1m2 from the first box does not fit together properly. 50 percent waste. Unbelievable.

My personal experience was excellent

My personal experience was excellent. I ordered online via their website, which was very easy to use. When I called them for assistance for the correct accessories for my flooring (threshold strips, etc.) they were extremely helpful and pointed me in the right direction. The chap who delivered my flooring was very friendly and helpful. As I work only a 12-15 minutes drive away, I had requested, (on my original order), that the driver message me when he is on his way. This would allow me to pop out of work to accept the delivery. He did this as requested and even went to the trouble of manoeuvring the pallet into the corner of my garage to allow me space to park my car. The flooring arrived in great condition, very well packed. I had, unfortunately, over-estimated the amount of flooring I would need, so I had some unopened packs leftover. When I contacted the team to see if I could get a refund on the unopened items, Jack, (Director), responded very quickly to advise that they would refund any unopened products. I arranged to drop them into their depot at Burton on Trent and was met by a very friendly guy who off-loaded everything for me. I then received a confirmation email, the same day, confirming that my refund had been processed and would be credited within 5 working days. Happy Days! I would certainly recommend! 😊

Do not respond to emails or calls

Paid extra for the 'premium samples', have been charged £15 for 5no. and have received 2 standard samples. Have emailed and called and had no response. Try one of the many other companies. Do not pay for any premium samples. I now need to decide how much of my time I devote to getting my money back. If you are reading this flooring village, the order number was #54827, on 8th May. Refund me please.

They do not respond to your emails. Go elsewhere

Their website states they offer a Price Match Promise, but it's a load of rubbish and spit in the face of it. I spoke to Hayley from Live Chat who told me to email (info AT flooringvillage.co.uk) for their price match team to look into. Emailed on 23/11/2021, no reply. Followed up on 26/11/2021 and still no reply to date. Shows the kind of company you are dealing with if they do not even bother replying to your emails. Don't want to imagine what they'd be like when you have any issues post-sale. No thank you, will take my business elsewhere. Buyers beware.

I ordered a pack of laminate flooring from Flooring Village. It arrived very well wrapped up and in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to use this company again and would also recommend it highly for their customer service.

LVT flooring

Cannot fault this company at all , above and beyond during my order of LVT flooring, prompt and packaged correctly guarding against all corners unlike other company where boxes have been damaged during transport

Great result

The sales staff were very polite and helpful.
I bought engineered wood flooring to lay myself. It was priced at the cheaper end of the range and I was afraid it might not fit together so well. However this was not the case. All the joints fitted perfectly and the whole floor was easy for me to lay. I am very happy with the value for money and with the result.
