Lovely idea, but
Lovely idea, but before you gift items, check that, unlike my daughter, they have a garden ready to go and not one that needs 2 more years of weeding and soil conditioning. Wanted to know if at least the dahlias could be stored for a year or two, but it seems really hard to contact Flourishy by phone or email and I don't do Instagram.

You can always get in touch with us via hello@flourishy.co.uk or via Not On The High Street depending on where you purchased the box. We have double checked and can't see any communications from you, so we're very sorry if we've missed them.
Regarding the dahlia's, I would recommend planting them in pots for the time being as they won't keep for that long unplanted, this will mean your daughter will still get to enjoy a fabulous display. We do advise on the box description that we send either seasonal or seeds that should be planted in the relevant season.

Please do not waste your money
Please do not waste your money was brought a subscription for Xmas lovely thought but received two packets of seeds and the next box was two dried up roots and four tiny bulbs. Worse subscription box I have ever had not even presented nicely. Just get a cardboard box and put some seeds in it yourself.

We’re so sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the gift you received.
You were bought a Cottage Seed subscription via Not On the High Street (costing £15 per box). The seed subscriptions contain a selection of seeds per season and this Spring we sent bulbs. The most recent Cottage Seed boxes contain two types of dahlia tubers (which you may have confused for dried roots) and some flower seeds.
We do offer a more expensive subscription box that contains other items in addition to seeds and bulbs, which may have been more what you were expecting.
As a small, family-run business we always take feedback on board so thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

My sister bought me a subscription for Christmas and I absolutely love it, one of the best Christmas gifts ever! It genuinely is the gift that keeps on giving! My spring box arrived yesterday full of lovely surprises and a very sweet handwritten note on sustainable seed paper. Perfect gift for anyone who enjoys gardening!

Great independent garden centre
Love this shop - I'm now a regular customer! I have bought house plants, pots, candles, and a watering can from Flourishy. Everything has been of a very high quality and delivered promptly. I also appreciate all the recyclable packaging too (wherever possible). Customer service has always been great!
