Delayed and ignored… avoid Norse!

Had a direct flight booked from Manchester to Thailand approx 3/4 hours before take off as I was travelling to Manchester received an email delaying my flight by 12 hours (over night).

Didn’t realise nor was I informed all items onboard you have to pay for such as meals, drinks and even headphones for the screen, absolute rip off when all other airlines on this route do not charge due to the long haul flight.

Even with the 12 hour delay there was no apology from the airline, we arrived later than expected this impacted on my onward flights having to book an additional flight.

I have submitted a claim via their website in December we are now well passed their suggested timeframe of 8 weeks, middle of March with no signs of an outcome being received, when following up on my claim I receive an automated email saying they are behind on claim outcomes, and ask to not email again with the light threat that trying to follow up on your claim and their incompetence you will delay the outcome of your claim! Nice! Hold me to ransom!

Over my years of travel this has been the worse experience, Norse did not even have an aeroplane in the UK and had to fly one in, it was great news to hear a direct flight from UK to Thailand Norse has damaged that significantly I will refuse to travel with this airline again.

This does not seem an isolated incident with such a poor scoring on TrustPilot it seems this is common with Norse.

Avoid at all costs

Worst flight experience ever

Worst flight experience ever! 3 hour delay sitting in the tarmac, wtaf? Service was poor on board, understaffed and took ages for anyone to attend. Monitors had to be reset throughout the flight. Don’t bother, spend a little more for ANY OTHER airline. Not worth it!!!

Thailand flight

Just returned from thailand flight: Z0792
What can I say your staff on board were fantastic. My partner felt unwell and they were so attentive and supportive checking in throughout the flight. Cannot fault the service! Thankyou.

Avoid at all costs - extremely poor comfort

Avoid at all costs. The worst long haul flight I've had in my life. I had no idea budget at this level existed for long haul flights and frankly I believe it should be illegal to have such a lack of basic comfort. Everything that could be terrible was terrible, and it seemed deliberately made so to force customers to pay extra on board purely to alleviate the extreme discomfort.

- The legroom is absolutely tiny, as a 5ft 2 person even I found it cramped. A tall person's legs would certainly not fit.
- The tiny legroom meant seats couldn't go back by much, so you're pretty much upright the whole long haul flight which makes for an extremeley uncomfortable flight when combined with the other following factors
- The seats are faux leather and quite hard, which means it get's very uncomfortable when sitting in them for several hours. I have never had my legs and backside go numb and painful on a long haul flight as quickly or as badly as with these seats.
- The tiny legroom means the entertainment screens also sit too close to your face for comfort
- You don't get anything that you would normally with other airlines for long haul flights. It's $7.00 if you want a blanket, you also have to pay for ear buds and other basic amenities.
- The provided meals are snack sized at best, the extra meals you can buy are also overpriced and pathetically portioned.
- The charging ports are atrocious, they're tiny and loose, so if you try to use a universal adapter it will fall out. The USB ports on the screen all don't work as a charging port, we tested on several seats.
- Throughout the whole flight, the staff constantly announce that you can pay to upgrade to premium or higher, the frequency of these announcements combined with the deliberate details to make economy as uncomfortable as possible feels like the most shameless money grabbing insult and disrespect to consumers.

The lack of decency towards the basic comfort of passengers on this flight was shocking, I am surprised "budget" at this level is allowed to even exist, this flight made even Ryanair and other well known budget airlines feel like a premium class, even their legroom and seats are more comfortable. If you have the money for a ticket with any other airline, then absolutely avoid taking this horrendous one.

There is virtually no customer care

There is virtually no customer care. In my opinion this airline should not be allowed to provide airline service in UK. Ai is the first entrance point for all your customer care offering information but no resolution to the issue. Ai will connect your issues to their customer staff. They promise customer care will contact you via email and then close the conversation chatline. Waited a day or two, no email from the promised services. Subsequently you go back online to start all over again to start a new conversation as the previous conversation was not be recorded.
We were due to fly out in 2 days to New York to seek advice on cancellation and refund. We had no help at all.

Disappointing experience on Norse Airlines

I recently flew return from London Gatwick to Bangkok with Norse Airlines on a Premium Lite ticket, and the experience was extremely disappointing.

The Premium Lite fare comes with very few perks. I had to pay for checked baggage and seat allocation (around £64 each way). To make matters worse, when I arrived at Gatwick, I discovered that the airline was selling Premium Lite seats for much less, meaning I had paid significantly more than others making the same journey. This also caused Premium Economy to be completely full.

The in-flight experience was equally poor. The entertainment selection was limited, food quality was only average, and drinks and meal options ran out quickly. Customer service was minimal and unhelpful, making the flight even more frustrating.

Overall, the experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. I would not fly with Norse Airlines again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable or reliable journey.

NEVER FLY THEM!

I had one of the worst airline experiences of my life flying with Norse Atlantic Airways from Gatwick to Orlando. This was a 9hour international flight covering nearly 5,000 miles, and the level of service was honestly shocking.

First off, the airline is unbelievably cheap when it comes to basic in-flight service. The only complimentary drinks offered were water, tea, and coffee. That’s it. No soda, no juice, nothing. Even worse, they didn’t give out a single snack not even something as small as crackers. On most airlines in America, you can fly a 2-hour domestic flight and at least get a snack and a complimentary drink, yet on a long-haul international flight with Norse you get basically nothing. It felt like they were cutting every possible corner.

The seating was another disaster. The seats were hard as rocks and extremely small, far tighter than any airline I’ve ever flown before. I’m still dealing with back pain from how uncomfortable those chairs were. Sitting in those seats for nine hours felt like punishment.

The customer service wasn’t any better. The lady at the check-in counter was completely impolite and rude while explaining policies we had never heard of before. For example, they were doing weight checks on bags, which we weren’t aware of beforehand, and the way it was explained was incredibly frustrating and dismissive. Instead of helping, she acted like we should somehow already know everything.

To make things even worse, we overheard staff talking about how the flight from Gatwick to JFK had over 17 people booked beyond capacity, which just added to the feeling that this airline is poorly managed and cutting corners everywhere.

Overall, the experience felt like flying on the cheapest possible airline with the least amount of service imaginable. Honestly, I would rather fly Spirit Airlines to the moon and back than ever get on Norse Atlantic again.

Between the uncomfortable seats, lack of basic refreshments, rude service, and confusing policies, this was easily one of the most frustrating travel experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re thinking about flying with them, be prepared for a very bare-bones experience. ✈️😒

Was a big fan, but the CANCELLED ALL return flights. NO customer service!

I was a huge fan of Norse Air (and Norweigan Air before), and told all my friends about what a good deal they were. Last fall (2025) I flew them LA to Athens {no problem) and had a flight back from Rome to LA. BUT: They sent me an email about a month before my return saying they cancelled ALL European flights to LA! They CANCELLED THOUSANDS of flights, abandoning their customers with a big, stressful mess while travelling overseas. They gave a lame excuse about engine parts supply. Huh? They offered a refund (well, duh, of course) but I wanted them to book me an alternative flight, because ONE-way flights on the legacy carriers were way more expensive than my original round-trip, over $1000! They refused. It was impossible, IMPOSSIBLE, to talk to a human being. NO customer service, NONE. Finally I used some miles to get home on another carrier, which I wanted to save for later. THEN they sent a robot email wanting my bank account number to make a refund, saying that it would take a couple months, and not to send any more messages to "avoid delays". No way! They had completely lost my trust, so I'm certainly not going to give them that personal banking information. I said just refund to my credit card, like I paid to GET a flight. Crickets -- NO response, after several messages, even trying to contact the CEO's office. I finally asked my credit card to do a charge-back. And to add further insult (and to let me know they were completely disorganized), they sent my a "check in for your upcoming flight" message, a flight that they had CANCELLED. And THEN, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year messages, saying how appreciative they were that I was their customer, and urging me to book flights in the next year on their NEW routes to Thailand -- when there were STILL NO flights to the U.S. Hmm, I don't want my airline to abandon me in Southeast Asia. I liked flying with them, but now I have NO TRUST.

Tracy from Norse Atlantic ground staff deserves a hike

This is an appreciation post for Norse Atlantic but most of the credit goes to Tracy.
I was warned by friends and expected the worst but turns out if you do your due diligence about the low cost airline you’re flying and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Tracy, you don’t really have a lot to worry about. I flew Norse from London to New York with 3 checked bags, 1 cabin bag and a personal item. Poor Tracy’s conveyor belt wasn’t even working that day so she had to manually pull in all the bags that passengers like me were checking in to the conveyor belt behind her. Despite this, she was patient, polite and such a delight. A true hospitality hero!
The flight was no frills as one might expect. I got my own food, drink and even headphones. Turns out, staying up all of the previous night packing means you can snooze through the non-fancy flight that still gets you to your destination before time.
To anyone contemplating to fly Norse I’d suggest you do your due diligence and hope you find Tracy welcoming you with a smile at Gatwick if you’re lucky.
Norse Atlantic, give that woman a raise or at least a gift hamper and fix your luggage conveyor belts!!

Very poor post flight customer service - no response

Booking ref ( X87DSJ). Our flight was late and then delayed because the crew let passengers on, already knowing that their seats belts were broken and they couldn’t use those seats. The crew had already asked for any passengers to offer to delay flying. Then had to remove them from the flight, which then took airport police. This could/should have been handled so much better. We were advised the flight was over booked. We submitted a claim for compensation for a + 3 hour delay on 18th December 2025, over 10 weeks ago. Norse have never replied despite a number of chaser email after 8 weeks. There is no phone number and Freya the chat bot can not access any information to assist. We finally received a customer service email (over 10 weeks from sending the claim), and it said you’ve already submitted your claim and our claims team will review it within 6-8 weeks. Clearly no-one is looking at anything. Many poor reviews that claims are not responded to and many county court judgements being taken out to resolve this issue. It’s just not good enough Norse. If we can’t call your customer service team, at least answer our emails. We have now passed this to CEDR to escalate our claim. A very very poor customer experience

Vomit Airline

Despite a very blunt message from the pilot about drinking too much on a flight to Bangkok - one disgusting young lady decided to overdo it. The flight attendant decided to move her closer to us so she could be with her friend to "care" for her. To the seat in front of me as it happens. I discovered that she had vomited when I felt a wetness on my right foot.

The flight attendants smothered her with care and attention even providing her with a pillow and blanket. They said no other seat was available and for 3 hours I was forced to sit in a strangers vomit.

Never again.

Horrible delays for over 10 hours that…

Horrible delays for over 10 hours that lead to missed flights and everything became very expensive for us.
We were promised a full refund within 6-8 weeks, it’s now been 12 weeks and I’ve never experienced a greater lack of customer service. There’s barely any way of getting in contact with them.
Feel totally scammed. What a joke of an airline. Avoid at all cost.

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. Owe us money for a cancelled trip. That was more than 12 weeks ago. Their initial response said 6 to 8 weeks. You can’t call them and talk to them. When you email them you get an automated response saying they are busy and to not send them emails or else it will take even longer to deal with your case. Outrageous behaviour. They sit on our money and earn interest in the meantime.
Avoid them if you value customer service.

Avoid like the plague

Every airline is terrible, but there are ones that stand out negatively. Norse is one.

The fact that the company has, essentially, no customer service (useless AI chatbots don't count, frankly, they're an insult to customers) should be a massive red flag.

Ryanair quality services, worse prices, a lot of hidden costs. Avoid, not worth it.

Great long haul flight for the price

Just come back from 2 wk holiday in Thailand so had direct flights from Manchester to Bangkok and back again. Had read lots of negative reviews so were really worried but flights were great with hardly any delays! Not the comfiest but brilliant prices, plenty of choice of films etc, snacks were not cheap but there if you wanted them and staff all very professional. Don't expect luxury long haul and you will be okay. Not loads of baggage allowance but we were travelling around so that suited us anyway. We were lucky to be able to travel so far this week with everything going on due to the flight being direct. Just remember to take your own headphones! Would definitely use this airline again.

Bangkok

Bangkok - Manchester. 5th March 2026. It was literally the budget airline of long haul. Bidget airlines are tolerable for a short flight but you cannot endure a 13 hour flight in one. Travelled with me 11 month old on lap. The seats are uncomfortable with a very little recline. The tray is tiny standard budget airline. The cabin crew service was sub par. The most irritating thing was I'm more annoyed with myself that I didn't research them before I travelled. Desperately wanted to book a bassinet and seat but no service options online for it. The pricing! It cost me £30 for a meal and a drink. A bottle of water is £2.20. They want to post an attractive base price for a cheap long haul and mark you up with only one carry on bag as standard and these extortionate prices for food. Not even a complimentary water. I've never known anything like it as a frequent traveller to and from Thaialnd to the UK with many carriers. Stick with middle East airlines with a change in the middle East or travel direct with thai airways or Eva Air from heathrow. By the time you've finished the add ons they are the same price with poor food and very uncomfortable cramped seating. Stick to Airbus those Boeing dreamliners are awful if they are trying to do a 3-3-3 seating on them.

London to Orlando Return

London to Orlando Return. 2 adults 2 kids.

Price - Economy including fast track and baggage 2k£, around 1.5- 2k£ cheaper than BA or Virgin.

Plane. Modern Boeing 787. Everything worked as expected.

Cabin crew and pilots, All friendly and experienced.

Customer Service and Support away from the airport - Terrible, still haven’t replied. My wife’s name was wrong on her boarding pass. Whilst correcting it, they deleted my son’s ticket.

In summary, everything was good except for the customer service away from the airport.
