The Folio Society edition Consider Phlebas looks great and it's a pleasure to read in this beautiful hardback format. It encourages you to linger over the words and I'm picking up more detail in the text that I may have missed on previous readings. I'm hoping that the fact that this is the first book in the series (possibly not the best) is a strong hint that the entire Culture series is coming. I'll get them all! Knocking off one star as it does have a few typos including a failed attempt to correct a typo in the original text ("ariel" in original, "aeriel" here, presumably "aerial" intended).

Lovely book, stunning illustrations. Ice read it before but quality of the book makes it an enjoyable read
A very beautiful edition.
Beautiful book; thoroughly pleased with it. Hoping that the Folio Society now publishes the rest of the Bank's Culture series in the years to come.
A glowing tribute to Iain M Banks with this production of the first Culture novel. Quality starts with the substantial slipcase and carries on right through the book
Beautiful and a fantastic tribute to Iain. If only he was alive to have held it in his hands.
