Very pleased to see Folio release this standard edition of the Limited they produced a couple of years ago. This compliments my earlier Folio edition of the same title (2008) very well. Both covers are tastefully 'kitsch' - if that's not an oxymoron. However, I have preference for the 2008 spine - especially as this was produced when Folio's trademark 'FS' was part of the design and felt less like an afterthought/corporate necessity.

Without question, this is one of the nicest books I own. Dracula is one of my all time favourite stories, but I never had a nice hardback of it, only a charming but cheap paperback I bought from a used book store. When I tried to buy a hardcover—not a fancy one just yet, but something better than what I had—I was scammed. Only after I was recommended the Folio Society from YouTuber Gary Buechler (Nerdrotic), did I discover this edition of Dracula. The book is gorgeous while not being a leatherbound. The Brits have a fancy for slipcase deluxe editions (I own the Lord of the Rings Deluxe Editions), and Folio doesn't fall short here. The sketches are fantastic, with the sketch of Lucy as the Bloofer Lady being the creepiest. I read it from cover to cover as soon as I got it, and it was worth every penny, with it looking lovely on my shelf. My only complaint is that the red colouring of the pages' edge should be on each side, and that there is too much empty space around the text; making the font a bit larger and increasing the margins would have been perfect. In any event, this is a great edition of Dracula, and I hope to purchase more books from Folio in the future. Sadly the ones I want most are now gone (Three Musketeers for example), but I will keep my eyes open.
