A stunning combination of art and craftsmanship, like the entire Murakami collection.

Another great book and the cover art is stunning.
What a wonderful edition! Raise a glass to Haruki Murakami! If you haven't already got "Kafka on the Shore," grab it!
Beautiful book expertly crafted.
This book in no way justifies the price charged. Material and construction much closer to mass hardback production , and a long way off from a collectable.
this is a very beautiful book. It was a Christmas gift for my son, who absolutely loved it. He will treasure it always.
Beautiful cover design, very delicately crafted.
Thanks for giving a replacement quote klu
Nice copy. Definitely not a reading copy.
Very nice binding. You almost don't want to read it since it's so nice.
Beautifully bound, tastefully designed, and most importantly, wonderfully typeset.
Beautiful book
Excellent edition.
I discovered Murakami last year and love to have special editions of books that I love. Folio Society gas knocked I out of the park. Tye blue also stands out great and is very eye catching while sitting on the shelf.
Nice book, excelent choices for publication
Beautiful edition of one of Murakami's finest novels. The simple, stylised, but mysterious illustrations fit the writing very well, and the design concept (cover, spine, typography, slipcase) is superb. My only criticism is the same as MS YAO LI's, below: the cutout at the centre of the slipcase isn't as well made as it might be, with the paper 'eye' smaller than it's card substrate, leaving an unsupported 1mm paper lip which can easily be knocked, spoiling the effect. Mine arrived with one side slightly bent down (see pics; the one on the right is from inside the slipcase). OK, perfectionist maybe, but I think it does need to be perfect at this price; and Folio often does manage exactly that. You've also got to handle the book carefully; the cloth can easily be finger-marked, and it is slightly prone to developing some fine loose fibres. However, these are minor flaws, and it still gets the full 5 stars from me.
A magnificent edition of this marvellous book. I look forward to reading it again in the Folio edition which will make it an even more rewarding experience. Very effective cover.
Another beautiful addition to my Folio Society collection. Murakami's work is excellently highlighted by the subtle illustration plates. A wonderful piece.
Beautifully presented volume.
Have been wanting this book for many years and am so glad I was able to purchase it this year. The book cover is gorgeous, and will proudly display this copy.
