I had missed out on the previous limited edition of Moby Dick and was determined not to have the same happen this time. This is simply a wonderful book. The quality is superb and the new artwork beautiful. I am so glad to have obtained this edition. It is just lovely to hold and read.

As usual this LE is excellent in all its parts. This edition was issued to celebrate the 250 Anniversary of US Independence — would have been a nice touch to add a card of sorts in acknowledgment. Beautiful edition nonetheless!

I missed the first Moby Dick limited release that was earlier in my career lower salary . Now I'm retired and this treasure hasn't been removed from its shipping box I always read Penguin Classics instead and those also happen to be 🇬🇧👑.

A great improvement over the older release. Love the cover design, the red leather is perfect! The illustration are vibrant and numerous. Excellent job

My only complaint is that it is not letterpress. For a release of this importance letterpress would have made a real difference.

Pricey, but cost is fair because it is a limited edition.

Well done production and the new illustrations are great. Did have some gilding missing on book but having it repaired or replaced.

An audacious approach, which rips up the rulebook for what a classic should look like. It has a white whale in a sea of blood for a cover, superbly implemented in full leather, and raw, bloody illustrations with a dark, furious energy (including a nifty 3-panel foldout). It's also a big book (11.5in) with an even bigger, subtly 2-tone fabric (blue / black) solander, which in value terms (at least for the UK) is pretty good for this LE's price. However, there are annoying glitches which seem to have affected large swathes (and probably all) of the production: messy spine printing on the solander (the fabric just doesn't hold the ink properly) and bald patches to the silver edge foiling. These are what they are, and are niggles rather than dealbreakers, but mean I can't go all out for the 5 Stars. Still a very nice reimagined classic.
