Great book, very good edition. The art could have been as luxuriant as Carter's prose, but doesn't disappoint.

Excellent printing and binding. Beautiful production! The illustrations are very bold, unusual, and lovely, and the print is a nice, larger, very easy to read size. The work itself is extremely imaginative and gorgeously written. It falls under the category of rarified, special literature, something that should be read multiple times.

This is not my favorite Angela Carter but is still a good read. The bizarre illustrations are oddly appropriate for this very odd book. And of course Folio understands the nature, mood, and personality of the book better than any other publisher.
