At first we thought of letting this book out of the series, because the illustrations work a bit stiff, but my sister-in-law thought, they look like Venetian wallpaintings (fresco technique). And of course, when the book rests in yur lap, everything looks more beautiful then on flatscreen. My favorite is the first illustration. The text is a treat compared to my wood-carving-illustrated Foliobook with the same title, because I can read it more easliy and with more pleasure.

Pride and prejudice is one of my favourite stories. This edition has some lovely pictures in it and it just loses with quality . I love the addition of the opening line on the box . Very pleased
