I had watched the movie many years ago, but needed a book to read to my daughter. What I didn’t know is the movie is only the first half of this book. This book is absolutely wonderful. My daughter and I truly felt the adventure, the joy, the sadness, and the laughter while reading this book. It’s beautiful cover, art, and binding makes it even better, and will be something she keeps forever.

This is a beautiful book, bound in copper silk and printed in two colors, just as the story describes itself. The copper silk binding, though faithful to the story, seems a bit impractical. It is not as durable as other hardcovers. It is also one of the heaviest books I have, best if you have a desk or a pillow you can set it on to hold it while you read. The illustrations are beautiful, but Atreyu is not green in them. I especially like all of the line art that decorates the margin, and the illustration of Grograman the Lion. I contacted Folio's customer support at one point about my order, and they went above and beyond to address my issue, you can count on them.
