A beautiful edition of a beautiful book. I've always wanted a copy of The Princess Bride but I knew it had to be special in some way. Not just a mass-market paperback. Folio didn't disappoint.

Product details
Mythologised by the author as the ’Good Parts’ version of a magnificent book by the ’great Florinese writer’, S. Morgenstern, The Princess Bride is a gripping tongue-in-cheek fairy tale. It tells the story of Buttercup, an exceptionally beautiful girl who rises from unlikely beginnings to receive the dubious hand-in- marriage of the barrel-like Prince Humperdinck. Meanwhile her true love, Westley the farm boy, must cross perilous seas, climb the Cliffs of Insanity, fight off man-eating swamp rats and survive the abominable Zoo of Death to rescue her from a grisly end. Fast-paced and funny, The Princess Bride lampoons the fairy-tale tradition but is at once a classic in its own right.

Literally the finest impulse add-on at a checkout that I have ever had the pleasure to purchase, and I gave it away as a gift! Genuinely not sure who will end up having received more joy from it, me or my lil'sis or her new baby, and I'm not even going to see/read it since we live in different countries. Older Brother Awesomess: OFF the SCALES, says one little sis...

Loved the book FS put together. Was ordered as a gift but really wanted to keep it for myself. Very disappointed in FS that they don't send two of the same book each time. One to keep and one to gift. Sorta like that sock company, only without removing the control of the product from purchaser. Love the book. Disappointed it was only one copy. Think FS could and should do better in order to meet the need of my greed in matters of books to read.

My wife really loved the book, my only complaint is that the protective sleeve for this edition is very plain. But the book itself is gorgeous.
