I had dropped my iPad and shattered the screen.I took it to Fone doctor on the Tuesday and the screen was fixed by Wednesday .Very pleased with service .I was also given a 12 month warranty.I hadn’t used this service before but would use it again

Very good service

Spoke to a lady on the phone who advised me about a repair and checked if the technician would be in the chosen store to look at the phone,he diagnosed the problem straight away and within 48 hrs got the part and fixed the phone. Couldn't fault,very friendly and very efficient.

Not even worth one star

Not even worth one star! Went into store in Horncastle today - again this dreadful women was extremely rude & unhelpful! Does she know what customer service is?.obviously not! This is the 3rd time she has been rude! Last time I got a phone charger it was not working! Took.it back- she said it was! It wasn't! I just got home & threw it in the bin! AVOID! Or send this dreadful rude & obnoxious women.on a customer service course! Or preferably SACK HER!!!

OWNER AGRESSIVE. BAD FIXES.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. AGRESSIVE TO WOMEN WHEN CHALLENGED FOR BAD WORKMANSHIP. This is the LOUTH shop.
We took our phone in to be repaired. Was charged £15 to look at it. Eventually was told woukd be £95 with our initial £15 being deducted. Was rung to say it was fixed but they wanted payment over phone before we could collect. They agreed but then when I went to collect it wasn't there as we hadn't paid despite being told it would be. So reluctantly I paid and was told it would be there Monday morning. Just as I was leaving it get it received a.call to say they didn't have it and I'd need to collect it the next day. Wasn't happy.
Collected it and brought home but found we could only use it via Bluetooth connects as microphone now wasn't working and it had been prior to it going in.
Couldn't go back straight away as not local. Anyway went back on a Saturday after checking opening hours online to find it closed so I went on the Tuesday as couldn't get.there on Monday again after checking hours and again was closed. So twice had driven there and paid for parking to no avail. Eventually got it in there and a nice younger man was there who said he'd get it looked at.
Had to chase after a week as no feedback and told basically not their problem. I said it was as worked before. After another week with no feedback I went into the store to be told they wanted another £45 to fix it. Wouldn't accept they returned it with a problem it didn't go in with. I was not happy and started to argue my point. The older.chap in there then got verbally aggressive with me and was in my face. I felt threatened by his behaviour as a woman on her own in her 60's. I then started to video the rest.of our conversation for my safety and he didn't like that and ordered me.out of his shop. I asked to complain and he said he owned them all.so.was.him.
Horrendous way to treat customers by being aggressive towards a woman and from other reviews I've now read.it seems they often sent people back their phones.with issues they didn't come in with. Seems like they just out to rip people off and get aggressive when challenged.
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Look Elsewhere.

Be wary that you are entering a high pressure, hard sales environment.

The timescale you are quoted for work being done, will be wildly different to reality.

I took my phone to the Horncastle branch on Friday 14th March.

I was informed on Monday 17th March that my phone would require a new screen, and this would be ready for me within a couple of days.

On 19th March I called to request a collection time. To be told it could take up to 5 working days to get the part.

This WAS NOT communicated to me at any point and if It was I would never have agreed to it.

The attitude of the Horncastle staff is appalling. Phone number for this branch very rarely gets answered. 

Got my phone back. Took it somewhere else who repaired it in the shop same day.

Go somewhere else to get your phone repaired.

I would NOT recommend this place. Go somewhere else to get your phone repaired. Don't take any notice of the claims of having 16 shops because they haven't and really ought to take that claim off their website, it's misleading and untrue.
I took my phone in for a screen replacement.....first replacement didn't work.
After the second replacement, screen lagged or was completely unresponsive. The phone also got very hot in one particular spot.
The shop assistants alleged they ordered a different replacement screen each time but even if I was unlucky enough to have 2 replacement screens not work properly, 4 is pushing the boundaries of credulity! I believe the same screen was used each time but poor workmanship meant it wasn't fitted correctly. The staff/owners were uninterested in listening to the problems/issues resulting from work they had done. On 2 occasions they left glue all along the side of the phone, not a huge deal, but certainly indicative of the poor standards of work.
I now have a phone that didn't work as well as it used to and has a yellow flash, so when I take a photo that requires a light, it's yellow. The torch is also yellow light and rather useless. I phoned to request a call back from the owners....but I'm still waiting for that call.
In all, I had to take my phone into the shop 5 or 6 times which was hugely inconvenient and after all that, I have a phone that has an unbroken screen, but doesn't work as well as it did.
The sign of a good business is how they deal with problems and complaints. In my experience, the fone doctor are REALLY bad at it. I'm not a bit surprised they don't have 16 shops anymore with the management attitude I encountered.
The most recent review besides mine does, in fact, say more or less the same thing. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Botch Job

Botch Job! :(
I sent in the phone for a simple screen replacement, quoted around £90.00. Perfect! Got it back, but they replaced it with the incorrect screen (they had a choice to either just leave it or do it anyway... they did it anyway) and it cut half my screen off and glue was left everywhere. Went back in to get the screen taken off and replaced BACK to my original one, as the new screen was gonna be £200! (I wouldn't have gotten it changed if this was the case!) Got my phone back today and they have completely ruined it... now half of my screen is out, and I can't even log in to transfer everything! I am so upset, I use this phone not only for leisure but also business... I wish I could leave 0 stars...

Took Macbook pro to be fixed

Took Macbook pro to be fixed. They informed us the motherboard needed replacing, we agreed to go ahead. Repair took a long time as the motherboard had to be sourced from abroad for some reason, they also had to reflash software. We finally got it back but was told it was slow. That should have been my red flag and I shouldn’t have taken it away. Stupidity I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it’s just the software. Straight away we couldn’t use it, was extremely slow and the software reflash ment it was unusable until updated. Fair to say that was not easy as the mac book was 12 years old. Took us ages to update, which we had to do on another computer so the repaired mac was not in use. After updating it still was slow, so took it back to the shop.
Long story short they claimed we had caused water damage so warranty was void. I know 100% we did not cause any water damage, but how do you prove it. Bare in mind it was slow when I first received it back and they told me it was slow, so that tells me something happened there end and now I’m out of pocket over £300 and I don’t have a laptop that works. Do not use for laptop repairs, awful and untrustworthy.

Had new screen repair here but I had it looked into by a known company afterwards (I paid for the Apple screen over £100) only to discover they used the cheap version of screen, which is worth half the price I paid. Do your research! The new screens ask to see it first do your research and check it first! To make sure it’s original!

Ben at North Hykeham

Ben at North Hykeham provided absolutely brilliant service. Very friendly, informative, efficient, thorough and a fast turnaround on two iPhones I had problems with. I was also kept well informed of progress by phone.
I highly recommend Fone Doctor for their professional service and competitive pricing.

Decided To Shut The Shop!

I phoned the Grantham number but ended up speaking to another office. They checked Grantham’s stock and told me to take my iPad in for a replacement screen today. I got there and Grantham is closed with a note on the door saying they apologise for any inconvenience. Having done a 24 mile round trip their apology wasn’t much use! I took a short stroll and found Phone King who are doing the job for me and saving me £20 too. I’ll pick up the iPad tomorrow as the adhesive needs a few hours to dry but Phone King’s attitude was excellent.

After a phone call where they promised no appointment was necessary, I travelled 45 miles to North Hykeham on Saturday 1st May for data transfer from old phone to new phone. Upon arrival, was told I would need to book a repair by staff who were not interested, one of whom (who I could not see) conducted his contribution to our conversation from the room behind the counter while what sounded like he was stuffing his face. Reckon this pair would have trouble selling a phone case never mind carry out a phone repair.
Previous service by Loz at this branch had been fantastic, where are you Loz?

Poor service, difficult staff

Paid to replace an iPhone screen but faults appeared - flickering screen, discolouration and a sudden camera delay. Eventually agreed to a refund but they refused to return the phone until 4.50pm even though they had had it several hours (only took an hour to replace the screen in the first place). I can't fault the young man in the Forum shop who was helpful and polite but less so the staff at Head Office. Would not recommend.
