This company doesn't issue refunds and is really difficult to navigate. Have lost all trust and would not recommend to anyone. I order 3 Take Back Bags on Jan 4th, waited over 3 weeks, they never came. Contacted customer service, they confirmed it was 'lost in the mail'. Takes another week for them to issue a replacement... its Feb 13th and I still haven't received it. Out of no fault of my own, we reconfirmed my address, asked for refund multiple times. When it was reissued, their email said 'if you don't receive by Feb 9th, get in touch.' I get in touch Feb 13th, to which a customer service rep says they meant Feb 19th... ahh, so frustrating. So I'm $60 down and have not received anything from them, and their customer service is responsive thankfully but not exactly helpful as this issue's been ongoing for a month and still not resolved. I'll update after the 19th I guess but so far, horrible.

I'm now convinced this company is a scam or just wildly incompetent.
For close to 7 weeks, I have waited for a towel which is apparently coming from Lithuania (so goodbye any sense that you're offsetting your carbon footprint).
For over 12 days, a label has been created and nothing done.
I have now had about 25 exchanges with their customer service where I receive vague "your business is important to us" messages but absolutely no real resolution to a straightforward problem.
I have now asked for a refund for the towel, shipping and associated Take Back Bag costs, and have yet to receive a resolution.
Save yourself a lot of time and avoid this business

I was missing one of my Take Back Bags so I contacted For Days to follow up. They got right back to me so quickly! Pilar helped me get the order shipped and I received it shortly after. Great customer service!!! Thank you!!

Suspected Subscription Scam.
I started a subscription to do a monthly take-back bag so that I could send in my used textiles for responsible recycling. I'm fairly certain that I only Opted for 6 months of bags, but I'm still getting charged and sent a bag 10 months later. (On the website, the options only go up to 6 months.) On January 12th I started the process to try and cancel the subscription, as the bags are starting to pile up. I sent two emails to the help email well ahead of the next cycle and I never received a response. I've now been charged for another bag. There is no help number or any other method to contact this company or change my subscription.
Update: Received a reply from For Days via Trustpilot, not to the 3 emails I sent to the help email offered on the site. I have now been able to cancel this subscription. I am not pleased that users are unable to access the actual "account" portal from the website. The only account login option is for Closet Cash, which is not the same. Very sus.

I can't believe I have "$150 to spend" but yet can't use more than $20 at a time. Good luck finding a 20 dollar item, and when you do it'll be 19.99 so you still can't use a full $20 credit to buy it, so you paid to donate your clothes, and got a credit with so many strings attached that were not made known. I was ready to buy myself some nice towels but I'm not paying going to buy each towel individually to get a partial discount on them when I should be able to use the full money I earned to buy them. $20 off a $300 dollar bag is NOT a deal and NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR. What a scam company. Keep my money cause I'm not paying you another cent to use the money I earned.

I really have loved For Days’ goals, and so I am conflicted with this review. I started using their take back bags in April 2023, and I loved them. It was so wonderful to be able to trust a company to take care of the ripped and old clothing that I couldn’t thrift or re-sell, knowing it wouldn’t end up in a landfill. At first, once you bought and returned a bag, you would get $20 dollars to use on their own and partnered products. I bought some great shirts, and had a fine experience with customer service and returning items that didn’t fit well. I was looking forward to purchasing a sweater that I really wanted, and have saved about $300 in trashie cash to do so. However, they recently changed how customers can use their trashie cash, in order to make the project more financially sustainable for themselves. After their change, customers can only spend up to $20 of trashie cash on each purchase, and so I will be ultimately having to spend a lot of money on new clothes (that I really don’t need) in order to use all the money I have saved up— most everything on their website (including their partners) is way over $20. I thought I could buy a few hand towels for $20 dollars each in separate orders… but then I have to pay for separate shipping, obviously… Anyways…. For Days has great ideas. But I can’t figure out how it makes sense financially for the customers anymore, for I no longer feel like buying take back bags is a financially beneficial decision for me. Their clothes are great, in my opinion, and I appreciate their desire to join in the goal of lowering the amount of clothing that enters landfills, but buying more take back bags will ultimately just cost me more money than it’s worth in the end.
I was a For Days supporter for over a year until recently. I ordered two sweaters on September 26, 2023. One of them (that costs $221!) has still not shipped. I have followed up with customer service multiple times and received no response on when my order would be shipped or getting a refund. I have had to dispute the charge with my credit card since it was clear I was never going to get a response. I appreciate what the company is trying to do with sustainability, but I cannot support this absolutely awful customer service.

DO NOT BUY! They are a scam. You have to buy a take back bag but then you can only use $20 of your closet cash at a time and shipping is $9 unless you spend over $100. Total scam and I'm frustrated I fell for it. They prey on people who are trying to be more sustainable.

Scam. Never delivered goods ordered, never responded to issue, had to dispute with credit card.

I really love this company. I'm grateful to have a place to give my clothes and no they aren't going in the trash and i think their exchange program is cool and I've converted half my friends. Also very kind and fast customer service

I spent $120 on bags two orders of the 3 pack thinking I'd have $300 to buy something nice on the For Days website. Oh boy was I wrong. As of January you can only spend up to $20 per transaction on gift cards that are always sold out or they're discounts that the store already offers new customers. This is a scam. I emailed them at the beginning of the month to see if my credits would expire since nothing is ever available. It's been 3 weeks and no response.

Had a positive and timely experience with customer service after sending textile bags to the wrong address by accident.

I purchased several Take Back Bags from For Days to help me responsibly decommission my wardrobe and then was excited to be able to spend the Closet Cash I earned doing this with some of their amazing sustainable retail partners. I had a fit issue with one item I purchased and For Days customer service was fantastic. It's peace of mind to be able to shop sustainably and confidently too, knowing there is good service to back the products you purchase.

I love the idea, but I think it’s a scam now that they partnered with Trashie. Trashie doesn’t let you redeem you credit, partners with unsustainable brands, and never responds to inquiries. I’ve reached out 5 times and never one response. Unfortunately another green initiatives now turned scam.
It's been a month since their response and still no outreach or follow up on the issues. Hard to trust when there is NO communication...

I've spent hundreds of dollars on take back bags. I thought it was such an insane deal to get free money for old clothes. And I was right. Usually they don't let you use all/large quantities of your closet cash at once. They had a promotion over the holidays where you would be able to do just that. I tried to take advantage of it, but for whatever reason it did not redeem any of my closet cash and I was charged several hundred dollars. Luckily for me, their customer service was able to retroactively apply my closet cash. Unluckily for me, the whole process took a few weeks. So I ended up without a good chunk of necessary change out of my possession. Also, their customer service is either one single person or they assign someone to you. There's only one email address, and ever since I've used For Days it's the same name responding. Whatever the case, specific shout out to Pilar. Pilar is fantastic at their job. I can't imagine sifting through the customer service of a business WITHOUT a phone number. Really shifty to not offer a phone number to talk it out, especially when you're dealing with a monetary redemption system. Proceed with caution.

I spent $20 to send my used clothing somewhere instead of traveling to a Goodwill. In my specific case, I am not near a Goodwill or the like and would have to make a special trip, and the post office is a block away. I then used $20 of my $50 credit on something that I can use (for real; legitimate use) on ForDays, leaving me with $30 credit. That seems like a good deal. Customer Service is also quick to respond. I'd prefer the Amazon Gift Card and hope that those are replenished but I am reasonably happy with this experience.

I am incredibly disappointment with my experience. I only received part of my order. Over a month later I was informed that another part of my order had sold out and I could either size up or exchange, I replied the same day but I didn't hear back for several weeks again saying that the larger size had also sold out.
Of course it did! There were weeks between interactions, how would a fast selling item still be in stock? So of course they only give closet cash as a return, which the previously lifted $20 per order cap at the time of my order has been reinstated.
Now I can't even order a similar replacement. There are only about 5 items on the site under $20.
It may not *technically* be a scam, but they are clearly poorly managed and in over their heads. There is also no detailed information on how the Take Back Bags are processed. A very promising concept poorly executed.

This company is fraudulent and does not invite criticism. As much as I love the circular economy concept, it still has the word economy in it. I chose For days to send in some stuff some brand new, some old, and I also hand off stuff to thrift stores to get credit. They changed their policy apparently at For days. They claim to have sent numerous emails about none of which I had received. So basically the gist is, the $20 credit sounds nice at first but you can only redeem upto $20 at a time for purchase on their stores and I kid you not, their clothes retail starting at $200 at least. There was no communication about this. Not to mention the trashie cash is misleading. Gift card rewards are always sold out and some of them are just basic first time rewards you can get from signing up or visiting the site. Others on Instagram were complaining about the bait and switch of their changed policy and not receiving any communication about it. They simply deleted those comments and they even blocked me from their account the next day for asking. Never again. I have over $250 credit with them and nothing to show for it.

Such a shady company. I bought 3 bags because they advertised gift cards to Sephora and Uber eats. When I went to redeem, any gift cards to affordable places were “sold out” the ones left are coupon codes or for $20 off obscenely expensive goods. No I’m not paying $150 for a white tank top gtfo. Their store is a joke. Everything is so marked up that by the time you pay the $9 shipping, you haven’t actually received a discount compared to manufacturer price.
There’s also the employee reviews on Glassdoor that say the recycling is a lie and they’re actually just a marketing company. When you go through their social media it makes sense. Not one single picture or video of their recycling process. If recycling was their priority, they’d be posting that, not deals for more clothes. Absolute scam.
