I was trying to use my 50 dollars cash reward that I received from registering my take back bag. To my frustration, it appears I cannot use the 50 dollars on a purchase. The website only will let me put 20 dollars of my closet cash toward the item I have in my cart.
This is extremely confusing and I feel very mislead. It was marketed to me that I would be able to use the full 50 dollars I earned of closet cash towards my purchase on the ForDays website.
The clothing on this website is extremely expensive and I was excited to use my 50 dollars of closet cash. I always wanted to purchase from these brands that are usually out of my budget.
Instead, I figured I would try to use the 20 dollars on a tee shirt that was in my price range, however I was hit with a 9dollar shipping fee- which almost cancels out half of the 20 dollars I would’ve been saving in the first place. I thought I would be saving 50 dollars on an item that I wanted, but instead I’m getting a few dollars off a 40 dollar tee shirt and having to use the other 20 dollars by spending another 9dollars on shipping a desperate order to use the remainder of my closet cash.
This company says they’re environmentally sensitive, but having to ship multiple orders just to use the closet cash I thought I could use in one order doesn’t align with the company values they so strongly advertise. I feel really misled and frustrated with my experience so far.

They are great about selling the Take Back Bags but the model only works if you can use your closet cash to buy from them. I ordered a dress in November using my closet cash and never received a tracking number. I asked for updates on the item and was told it was behind because of the holidays. Then I was sent a request to review the item (that was never mailed, as far as I can tell). I was then told that a new item would be mailed to me because the initial item was lost during shipping. I never received any confirmation. When I then reached out I was told the item is out of stock. All of this feels like a bait and switch! Nice items on the website but its useless if they actually never deliver anything!
Item ordered Organic Fit + Flare Midi Dress - Black

I absolutely love this recycling concept, but the Customer Service is really poor in my experience, unfortunately.
I ordered a Rainbow 3-pack on November 29th and paid $60. I received an empty envelop - it had become unsealed in shipping and contained no take-back-bags.
I have emailed for help repeatedly, and finally got a response on December 12. I was told my order would be resent, but to date, I have received only 2 of the 3 take-back-bags I ordered and paid for. It’s impossible to get a response from Customer Service. I am still owed 1 bag, and would appreciate some help. Order #: 333306

I love the idea, but the company needs to get it together. Over a month ago I bought a mug and a jacket with my closet cash. Mug arrived. No jacket. I've emailed and received an auto response that they are very busy from the holiday...still waiting. Meanwhile, I purchased more bags to clean out. When I went to use the cash I discovered that only $20 max can be used. I went to purchase something for $15, and it deducted my money before I completed the transaction. No way to reclaim it or finish my original transaction. I'm also sitting here with over $100 in credit that I don't know what to do with. My guess is the company I ordered the jacket from will never fulfill, so at best I'll get a credit and have over $200 sitting in my account. Had I known the policy was suddenly changing, I would not have gotten more bags for my clothes. It's such a hassle I'm going back to donating once this is sorted out.
I got a Take Back Bag to recycle fabrics/clothes I can’t donate because they are torn or stained. There was an issue with the postage, but the customer service team was super helpful and sent me a replacement shipping label. It was easy and fast. I love that I can recycle these items that would have ended up in a landfill!

Great products, good quality. Love donation process and Closet. However, went to spend my closet cash, on a sale necklace advertised for $119 (regular price $242), it tried to charge me $242). Contacted them by email (only choice). They responded with apology and instruction to order and they will refund difference. I did that back in Nov 2023 send them proof of purchase but after innumerable emails and texts, they have failed to send the refund. Reported to BBB. In addition, they are changing so that only $50 can be spent at For Days. Need to provide a phone number to customers. Need to honor published price. Have screenshots and documentation- provided to company- still no refund.

I shopped on this site because I purchased a take back bag and was attempting to use closet cash. I applied the closet cash to my order and when I pressed "pay now", it said that the closet cash could not be applied. When i reloaded the site to try again, the purchase went through without my authority and without applying the closet cash. Customer service is awful and I am going to have to contact my credit card's fraud department to resolve this. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

1.9.24 instagram wiped clean. No correspondence being answered. Definately a scam.
Poor follow up w customer service. I tried to use closet cash and was not able to. I got a blank pink screen and could not mive past it. It took a week to hear back from them and it still did not work bc there was a "glitch" It is starting to feel like a scam to me.

Great customer service when I had a hiccup with shipping (I packed the bags too heavy, it was a dense rug). As long as there's stuff on their website you're interested in, it's a great way to recycle fabrics and clothes. There's always plenty I can shop for, lots of gift ideas! Wishing them the best, and I know I'll be continuing to use their services. I'm on my third round of bags!

I ordered the take back bags and had no issues. When I used my credits they sent me ONE OF THE THINGS i bought out of 8. Customer service is the worst and there is no phone number- they’ve ignored all my emails for month of December and I am sure as soon as they see this review they’ll conveniently respond. Not cool For Days- send me my stuff.

A great way to dispose of old clothes that are too used for a secondhand store.

The take back bag went well. However when I went to make a purchase so the my credit, problems have developed. I have been unable to contact anyone for a return on a new item. There is no phone number to call for this company! They also require 14 days return policy, yet they have not responded to my multiple emails to even make this return. Would not recommend.
As in update today 12/27- I have received an email asking why I’m needing to make a return, and have still not been able to make the return because I have not received a response from this email. No shipping label has been provided. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau

For the promotion of $50 closet cash for Take Back Bags registered by year end, I ordered 3 bags ($60) both to get the free shipping on the bags as well as the extra closet cash for all the items I need to have recycled. I ordered on December 5; the website states that all take back bag orders ship in 24 hours. I did not receive anything from them until December 13, and I only received ONE of the three bags I had ordered. I reached out to customer service and was told that wait times are higher. I am now waiting on a time-sensitive issue and am out $40 for the time being.
For Days shouldn't be pushing the Take Back Bag promotion so hard (with alllllll their influencer partners as well!) when they can't support customer service during this time. Additionally, the actual selection of items is so limited compared to what their partner brands offer fully on their sites.
All of this to say, I would be better off getting the tax credit by donating to Goodwill or getting a paltry sum on a gift card to Athleta by sending my items to thredUP.

They answered my question in a timely manner and also solved my issue. Great experience
Items are too expensive for the customers they are trying to attract, they are not size inclusive, and this Trashie program they are using now for their Closet Cash is straight trash. They say you can trade your points in for places like Amazon or DoorDash, but when you go to cash out there is nothing available. Ridiculous. They only get two stars because I do love their mission and the Take Back bags are a great idea and a practice that I wish more retailers would do.

I contacted For Days within a week of receiving my items to return one of the items. I received a reply that they were reaching out to the company that made the item to initiate a return. After 10 days of silence, I reached out again; they said they hadn't heard back from the company. Two weeks later, I reached out again, and have not heard back since, forcing me to open a dispute with my credit card. A very frustrating experience -- even though I dealt with the For Days company, they are essentially passing off responsibility to another company and leaving me with no recourse.
Love their mission and how convenient they make it to recycled old clothes. Have a few things that I’ve purchased and I really like them and they’re great quality. Recently needed to get help from customer service and they were very responsive and resolved my problem very quickly.

I have only purchased one pair of sweatpants from this brand, so I cannot speak to the quality of all the clothes, but the sweatpants pilled worse than regular cheap pants, and these were not cheap. They're made of recycled material but they pilled, and when you try to pull the pilled "fabric" off, it comes off and leaves little strings kind of like hot clue. The chafing on the thighs of the sweatpants wore a hole in less than a month of use.
Clothes are very expensive. I appreciate the take back bag program and would not have purchased any clothes if I did not have the store credit because they're simply too expensive. Customer service was responsive to an issue I had, but unable to resolve the problem.
