FTA was a perfect option for our student athlete. She was able to have a flexible
schedule to travel and play her sport along with an academically rigorous curriculum. The teachers are top-rate and are there when you have questions/concerns. The work is not easy, but you will be most prepared for standardized testing and post-secondary education!

We used the Forrest Trail Academy Curriculum for a short period, however utilized other systems as well. We found the material had good objectives and course content. Our daughter finished her high school studies through another course program however. I would recommend Forrest Trail Academy.

Best online school. My daughter enjoyed it. Easy to follow instructions and plenty of practice exercises. It was one of the best experience we had together.

When your system goes down it is a major issue for me. My daughter meets with a math tutor weekly and when she can’t print assignment I pay for the tutor to do nothing. You’re an on-line school your computer maintenance needs to be done in the middle of the night.

My son was very successful with this on line schooling program. In the traditional classroom setting he was NOT.

I would recommend this program and its instructors.

My daughters graduated in 2015 and 2016. They had wonderful teachers and a challenging college prep curriculum. Both are now in college, one is a junior and has a double major of Health Education and Physical Education, with a minor in Adapted Physical Education, and has been on the Dean's List every year. The other just graduated college, with High Honors, and recently started working towards her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I feel that Forest Trail gave them both a sturdy educational foundation that prepared them well for college!

This school is the absolute most unprofessional fraud I’ve ever felt with. It’s a one phone line, 1980s answering machine, low budget operations with employees that are pathetically incompetent. After being fed up with dealing with the incompetence of the employees that occasionally answer the phone, I requested to speak with a manager. I was told that there are no managers that their word is final. Yeah ok “Marcus”. I warn people to run from this low budget, incompetent group of so called educators.

The problem was not speaking to someone, the problem was the lack of professionalism and lack in action on your schools part. My sons transcripts still have not been released and I will continue to post reviews where ever I can until they are released. I promise.

Success: Our son competed ninth and tenth grade with Forest Trail Academy. He then transferred to Running Start at our local community college. When he took the placement test, he was able to advance into college classes due to the excellent currulum he had completed with FTA. FTA taught hm effective study skills to succeed. He has now graduated with his high school diploma and AA degree.

Our 11th grade son is attaining academic success at FTA. The teachers and staff are personal, caring and supportive. FTA is helping our son learn, excel and grow. The curriculum is challenging and the feedback from each teacher on assignments, projects, quizzes and tests is WONDERFUL!! Thank You, FTA, it's the perfect fit for our son!!

My son loves FTA very much. He loves all the materials. If we have any questions, the teacher responses very quickly. we have very clear instruction.

The response from Forest Trail academy to my review only confirms our horrible experience. There is little or no staff, no one seems to be in charge and any response to a question is automated or comes from a third party they hired. Thus, when we first inquired with them, asking for more information, no one ever explained to us that we were going to be locked into a year long commitment. Instead, new applicants are made to sign the small print student manual online. It is a very long document to read, and only towards the end of it there is mention of their withdrawal policy (which we discovered after it was too late). There is no mention of this policy anywhere else on their website! When signing this, we had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into. We have had all three of our children in american curriculum based private schools for years, but none of these schools would ever demand ongoing payments if children were withdrawn during the year. This concept is so foreign to us that it never even crossed our minds as a possibility. Nor do we feel that this is a fair or legal practice, needless to say. Another word about the "missing in action" teachers: No teacher has ever replied to my daughter sooner than 3 days after she typed a question to them. Teachers are never available in real time or online, and the very few, infrequent online chat rooms do not work for most students as they are at inconvenient times with short response windows.

Easy to use format, quick turnaround on assignments, great flexibility (can complete one class at a time or work on all of them at the same time). Always quick to respond to questions and helpful when we have called as well. My daughter has learned way more than her peers at the local high school because there are no group assignments-she must do everything which means she learns much more, yet can go at her own pace.

This was our daughters first time doing school on line. We liked the personal feedback with detailed information she received from the teachers. Our daughter was able to receive extra help in math when needed. This has been a great experience for our daughter and we will continue to use Forest Trail Academy.

I loved the teacher interaction with my daughter. She was able to ask any question and get a prompt response.

Extremely happy with Forest Trail Academy. Our daughter learned so much here. She will be back in September.

An awesome online school option that is perfect for my family!

My HS kid took one class of AP Calc with forest trail. Felt that the material formatting could use uniformity. Explanations could have used more examples and more steps within the forest trail material. I did have to pay for extending class from 6 month (which is called a full year class). Student self pace is the key.

Overall the experience was a good one. Signup was easy and grades online keep student updated. System Administrators were quick. Instructor was fantastic. Cared about student, explained each questions answered and made herself available for teacher consultation. The system will update the parent upon a new submittal and the assessment grade of an assignment which is fantastic. Again student pace is key since there are no due dates excerpt the end of course time date.

This was the first time a student from my kids school has used forest trial. Great alternative when school does not have class available. Felt also that student has the opportunity to leave their “neighborhood environment” to experience a national level experience. My student felt he was more prepared for the AP exam via Forest Trail than before.

We chose Forest Trail Academy for our daughters first year of online school due to the flexibility of the self-paced classes. Her preprofessional ballet did not allow her to attend live online classes that are required by many programs. Knowing that Forest Trail holds many accreditations (including NCAA) was also a tipping point for us.

Like any first year of something new, we had our ups and downs, but in the end, we are 100% happy with our choice to enroll at Forest Trail Academy.

My son went from getting all F's to graduating 6th, 7th, 8th grade and is now a Freshman with a 97% GPA. Some children are just not the type of learners from a public school, too much drama with other students. Thank you very much for all the feedback on his assignments. He was at PLP but will come home Monday and finish his Freshman year with Forest Trail Academy. Thank you for bringing out the intelligence I always knew he had!
