Great company with knowledgeable staff!

Critter Control did an excellent job taking care of our critter problem in our attic. The crew was quick, efficient, and very knowledgeable. They made sure all my questions were answered, and explained very thorougly every step they were doing to take care of our problem and to prevent future problems. Definitely pricey, but definitely a great company to work with, would recommend!

Quick, effecient service that completely took care of our problem.

We had a critter in our attic and finally called Critter Control out. It turns out we had rats – the bigger guy was coming in to eat them. Critter Control vacuumed out our attic (rats and all), completely sealed the house and blew in good insulation. They stayed late to finish the job and followed up to make sure everything was good. It was a big job and wasn't cheap but I know I will never have another rodent/animal problem.

Very professional and efficient - they leave no stone unturned.

I am very pleased with their service. They brought a big crew and worked diligently to get the whole house sealed up tightly. They discovered many cracks and openings that had gone previously undetected. Cleaned up completely and protected things in the attic. Would recommend them to anyone.

If you have one mouse in the house, maybe you can do some of this on your own. But if you have a big problem, this is a great solution.

Critter Control is dependable.

The office personnel and workers are friendly. After the work was completed in the attic, the holes on the sides of the roof were patched to prevent the critters to re-enter and painted nicely enough to match the original paint. I very much like the lifetime guaranty they offered. I heard some noises in the attic and have called them twice now since the work was completed. They have been dependable to return to check and took care of the rats that were found trapped by the trappers they have left. In addition, I asked the warranty guy to take photos of these trapped rats as I told him I don't feel comfortable going in to the attic to see what was done. With these photos, I saw that there were various stuffs that I stored for several years and so I asked him a favor to help move them out of the attic and he kindly squeeze it in to his busy schedules that same day. I was worried these maybe one of the places where the rats hide. Also, I appreciated the scheduler in the office to try her best to set up an appointment that works for me. I am glad I chose the Critter Control to help resolve my attic issues.

Executes well, could improve follow-up.

They came out to perform the service quickly and courteously. It was costly but reasonable for the services provided. Not sure if it was because it fell around the holidays, but scheduling promised follow-up appointment could use improvement.

GREAT COMPANY!

FIRST OF ALL THE LADIES ON THE PHONE WAS POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND WHEN JEREMY CAME TO MY HOUSE HE RESPECTED MY SPACE AND WAS CLEAN WITH EVERYTHING HE DID AND GAVE ME GREAT SUGGESTIONS ON THINGS TO DO. WHEN HE CAME TO CHECK ON THE TRAPS HE ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS THAT I HAD AND WORKED WITH MY SCHEDULE. I ALSO REFERED CRITTER CONTROL TO A NEIGHBOR IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

Great service, very comprehensive in safeguarding our house against critters

Critter Control did such a good job of explaining their process of how they treat homes for rodents in the attic, that we used them not only on our current house, but on a new home that we bought. We utilized Critter Control in the home inspection process and found evidence of rodents in the attic. They proved to be a valuable inspection asset. They remove the critters, remove the attic insulation the critters were living in, sanitize the attic and blow in new insulation that is caustic to critters skin so they don't want to live in it. They also seal up every crack and cranny in you home's exterior to make it as rodent-proof as possible. I trust their process and all of their representatives have always been respectful and informative.

Critter Control was exactly what we needed

They were very prompt, professional and very transparent when it came to the costs. They came in and did the job wonderfully and did it in a polite and deferential way. I would highly recommend Critter Control to anyone who is having infestation problems at their house.

Good Service and Product, but very expensive and poor follow-up

Overall Critter Control gave very good service and I'm pleased with the results. I would use them again and recommend them to friends. The short story on the reason I rated them 4 stars and not 5 is because they can be expensive for the products that offer the "lifetime guarantee" and because the did a poor job with scheduling appointments, follow-ups, etc.

Here's the long story - I had a rat problem in my attic. Critter Control came out and gave me an estimate. It was very expensive, but it came with a lifetime guarantee, so I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. I did not know the exact time they would come out until the day before when they called to tell me a 2 hour window. The next day, they called and said they were on their way and would be there in 45 minutes - great! Then they got to my house and said they couldn't actually do the work that day because it was raining. I had to reschedule for two weeks later. For the second appointment, I never got the "day before call" so I called their office for the time and they said they'd be there between Noon-4PM - fine. Next day rolls around, and I'm waiting.... Finally, at 3:30 I get a call saying they are going to be there the NEXT DAY between 8AM and 10AM. When I brought up that my appt was supposed to be the current day, they acted like they had no idea why I thought my appt was then and didn't know who told me that. Fine, the next day worked out alright for me. The day finally comes around and the people doing the service were very friendly, and did a wonderful job. I'm very happy with the results. Then they laid traps on the off-chance they missed a rat. They said someone would call me to setup a trap check appt for 7-10 days out. Someone called me 4 days later at 10AM and left a voicemail that morning to setup the appt, but said the office would be closing at noon and would be closed the following day as well for holiday - I would have appreciated more than 2 hours to call back! I called back the day after the holiday (now 6 days after my service) to setup an appt and I was told the only person who could setup my appt was out sick and I could only leave a voicemail. Leave a voicemail and the next day I don't receive a response - I call back and I finally schedule the appt. They tried to schedule it several days out (11 days after service) but when I objected, they managed to get someone out the next day (8 days after service), which I appreciated.

All in all - I'm very pleased with Critter Control and I would use them again - but there were several minor annoyances and issues that could have been avoided that kept the service from being absolutely stellar. These didn't cause huge problems for me, because my schedule was very flexible, but for people with very tight schedules or that would need to take off work to be home for the service, it might cause bigger problems for you.

Super professional and thorough in a creepy situation

When you have been hearing scratching and thumping noises under your floorboards, you want it taken care of - completely. We had had a raccoon under our 70-yr-old house before and a squirrel or two in the attic, but those were easily chased out by us. These were new noises, starting about 11pm several nights in a row. I searched for critter removal online, found Critter Control, read the excellent reviews and called the DFW location. They were sympathetic to my freak out and scheduled someone to come check out the situation the next day. James W called 15 min ahead of the appt time to say he was on his way, put booties over his shoes and came inside. A quick look down the plumbing access hole and into the attic and based on the droppings he saw - it was rats! He went outside to survey the house for any and all access points. Then we had a choice of attack plans (from the hundreds to the thousands of dollars) which range from (a) setting traps and returning (multiple times if necessary) to check them and remove any bodies to (b) sealing access points and setting traps to (c) the vacuuming of every bit of our attic insulation (and EVERYTHING else that may be napping there in the daytime) and replacing it with boric-acid treated cellulose insulation plus sealing off all crawl spaces, eave vents, roof turbines, etc with wire mesh, filling outside wall cracks and tiny separations around windows and doors with clear critter-repellant treated caulk and even painting (with our supplied house paint) any rat access points that needed wood repair. It was not a high pressure sales pitch at all, but there was a little sticker shock. (Part of the pricing is based on how many eave vents, roof turbines etc they will seal.) With the critter noises getting louder every night, the lifetime guarantee and brand new treated insulation swayed us to buy the total removal package (since we could afford it). I did not price shop, so I do not know how they compare to local, smaller-shop businesses.

First available crew was not til the next week - a little disappointing now I knew it was hideous rats, but when the crew arrived - again calling 15 min ahead - I was thrilled! About 12 VERY PROFESSIONAL guys swarmed our house on ladders and with caulk guns within minutes. The supervisor Norm calmly explained all they were doing while guys in hazmat suits ran big hoses to our attic to vacuum. During 8 hours(!) of work the crew was respectful of us and each other, efficient, and hard-working. No standing around smoking, shouting, grumbling or inappropriateness - even when they ran into the little unexpected things that no one can foresee. We were COMPLETELY IMPRESSED with the entire crew. Finally they set traps and were gone - telling us to expect one or two to be trapped over the next week when they would return.

It has been a month and we have called them out twice after hearing noises in the walls to check still-empty traps. The same 2 gentlemen came out both times (so they know the house and situation). They have set more traps and done a recheck of the house and crawl space for access. Seems silent now! But I know if I ever hear anything again in this house (with the lifetime guarantee) they will be right there to get rid of it - calmly and professionally. I would recommend them to a friend who wants to call in the big guns with the understanding that they may be paying a premium price, but they will not be disappointed. Thanks Critter Control guys!

Extremely friendly and professional crew

We recently had Critter Control do some work on our house. The crew was very professional and courteous. They kept us informed while they worked and always checked to see if we had any questions or concerns.

They try, but can't get it together!

I was first impressed with Critter Control. They came out, did the large portion of their job, didn't disrupt my house, and we had no issues for several weeks. After a couple of weeks, we noticed more activity and called for them to come back out (note, we purchased the full warranty, which guarantees lifetime service). They came out and inspected and one of the very good employees noticed that a 20 x 20 portion of our attic was left unfinished! He promised to report this and get it corrected. We subsequently heard from their office and we were rescheduled to get the attic finished. The usual "we'll be there between 2 - 5 on this day" was given. Around 2 on "that day," I got a call from the foreman saying he was running late and it would now be 5ish. Around 6 that evening, I got a call from the foreman stating it would now be later and that another job was taking longer than anticipated. I said no problem. Around 9 that same evening, I got a call from the foreman saying he was ready to come over and do the job. I said no, in part because the equipment is loud and I live in a town home and I didn't want the noise to bother my neighbors at 9 p.m. in the evening. I said to please call me tomorrow morning and we can do the job at 9 a.m. that morning. I received a call at 6 a.m. the following morning (it was Saturday), and the foreman said he wanted to come do the job then. I said no, you can come at 9 a.m. They did finally come at 9 and finish the unfinished portion of the attic.

But we were still hearing activity in the house. We called AGAIN (this was about the 3rd or 4th visit) and asked for them to come back out to locate the points of entry. It was determined in a previous visit that what was needed was a "crew" to come back out and inspect the roof where the critter could be getting in. Instead of sending the "crew," they sent one man -- who, by the way was incredibly apologetic and nice -- to do the job. He could not do it as we have a two story home with a high roof. I wouldn't want one man to be scaling a 30 foot roof without assistance.

We're still waiting for them to send someone out to inspect the roof. This is a very expensive ($4,000+) service and it comes with a lifetime guarantee. At this point in time, I cannot recommend their service.

fast response, thorough solution for removing rodents

From the initial quote/explanation of service to the final clean up after a long days work; these folks were great. Removal of rodents was swift (the team honored our request to be sensitive to the tenants presently at our property), plus the constructive measures taken to prevent re-entry were impressive. The only part I wasn't keen on was the price (sticker shock!), but the peace of mind I get from the lifetime guarantee helped calm me down, since I realize that adds to the overall value.

The only way to go.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company. I called about a raccoon and found out I had rats! I am happy that, although pricey, their services are guaranteed for life and I should never have that problem again. I no longer have to worry about any critters damaging and chewing wires or duct work again and we now have new insulation.
