The process started with a man offering to do my hedges. He had a young boy with him. I explained that the hedge was very thick and a small Leylandii needed trimming as it was getting too big.. A price of £300 was agreed and he promised to do a decent job. He started immediately and came back with two other men the following day in the afternoon. He was soon knocking on the door to be paid and said it was £300 +VAT. This was not the arrangement and the job was not completed. It was absolutely appalling. The hedge cuttings and debris was not cleared up. The leylandii was not cut at all. The hedge was uneven and the job was not done properly at all. He was very unpleasant and a little threatening when I refused to pay the full amount. I agree to pay £250 but it was a really bad job and I would never employ this company again. I am a 78yrs old man and was promised a proper job and it was not. I was able to take photos of the hedge and also of the workmen and their van.
