So much for Loyal Customers

Incompetent.
Very costly.
Don’t waste your money.
Netflix is cheaper and a lot better.
Moved house, unable to have where moved. They were told that they will have a repeated loyal customer (12 months at most) who gets one of the highest packages in multiple rooms.
Was told that I have to pay a courier for it to be delivered to them or be inconvenienced to go out of your way to send for free.
Annoying as was easier and didn’t have to pay when received.
Have to pay one month after canceling. Read the T&C’s recommended.
This after 16+ years and transferring one account that was my partners to them (giving another customer).
I specifically requested not to receive promotional and advertising material from them. I continued to get them.
Was very keen to get again when moved from where I am in 12 months time but not now!
See ya Foxtel, cheaper services out there.

Legal scammers?

Chat Bots, no response on Facebook or messenger, no email address, no help on phone as they put you on hold and never answer.
Same adverts shown up to 8 times in a row.
Constant buffering even on high speed internet connection.
Constant "we will be right back" indication a technical issue.
Cancelling foxtel account, cheaper to sign up for 15 other streaming networks.
Hopefully foxtel will claim bankruptcy very soon, they claim that they have not made 1 cent profit in all the years they have been operating.

They are a scam company that is allowed to continue ripping people off.
Scams are supposed to be illegal in Australia, yet companies like foxtel break the laws everyday with no consequences!

SCAM!

I signed up for free trial for 10 days and charged $25 and requested a refund 15 min. after realising the charge but refused to have refund. Terrible practice, will report to authorities as well!

DO NOT JOIN FOXTEL

DO NOT JOIN FOXTEL - their customer service is disgraceful. They take your money but do not provide any equipment or connection - this has happened to me for the past 5 months. I took them to court and they lied, but were still found guilty, but since then they have breached the court orders and refuse to provide me with a service. I have written 27 formal complaints and not a single one has been responded to. They refuse to provide me with a connection and treat you like an animal - ignore you, leave you on hold for hours on end, and then hang up on you.

I’d give Foxtel no stars if I could

I’d give Foxtel no stars if I could! I’ve been with them for 30 years and they sent me a bill for $822.00 to upgrade to the new system despite advertising it would be done at no cost!! I’ve been thinking for some time to get rid of Foxtel and this was the straw that broke my back!
Watching reruns of old old old programs and the lack of support from the company have made me turn off!! It feels a relief, $190 per month and a monthly increase on the way on top of the $822 is absolutely crazy!!
My smart tv an I Already $5000 a year better off. Well done Foxtel your business acumen is appalling!
Good luck to your staff, I hope you can keep them all employed, but please give them more education in dealing with the public

Appalling online and phone service

Appalling online and phone service. I finally decided to cut off my service and they informed me that I needed to spend my own time returning their broken box or I would be charged for it. Unbelievable.
Expensive, dreadful service and not worth it. So many better options out there.

Zero Customer service

I have no signal and do you think I can speak to someone? The answer is no. Phone calls to technical service are disconnected. Live chat, I got 2 people answered, but they did not want to do any work. They are just collecting a paycheck. They cut off the chat. Facebook messenger is a dead end. So I have no signal, and foxtel doesnt care. I have been a customer since day 1. Am now considering my options. Looks like I will be watching free to air on my computer. Come and get your box.

DO NOT TRUST THEIR ADS - RIPPERS

10 day trial for free?! It's simply a joke!
Don't trust their advertisements at all or don't even try their trial account. I signed up a trial and because I found it too expensive and not worth of money I cancelled my subscription 2 days before due date but surprise surprise they charged me $39 and when I called their useless customer service on the same day they deducted the amount he said what is your reference number if you cancelled your subscription! I can see it's not cancelled yet! Anyway, after long waisting time we logged in together and did the same cancellation procedure again and the same notice popped up on the screen without any reference number. When I asked him ok Mr useless, where is the reference number now? He was like ok there might be a case you will receive the reference number in your email, again we checked and the email was saying everything you can imagine but a reference number. I was asking for refund cause it's b.s. and never gonna use it, he refused and said it's already deducted u can enjoy a month of our service. It was the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
This is their trick to ripp you off.
That's a pity I have to give min one star, with there was minus one available.

Foxtel is absolutely hopeless.

Foxtel is absolutely hopeless when it comes to customer support you spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting to talk to someone then all they do is remotely reboot the device then leave you with a defective device they should have a minus five star rating and even then that would be too generous.

Currently been on hold now for 1hr & 12 mins. Haven't had fox for nearly 3 days now. Have an f0100 but have no internet to get help online. Got cut off 5 times due to "unknown error". What the heck is wrong with these people? Each time I try to explain any problem, the person on the other end can't seem to grasp the Aussie accent. Absolutely pathetic service. Oh, get more staff & change that damn music to something where you don't want to driwn your poor phone in the sink!!!

Foxtel IQ3 to IQ4 Horrendous Customer Service!

I was supposed to have my IQ3 box replaced with an IQ4 box and satellite dish (due to the cable network closing down). I waited 3 weeks for an appointment and took the day off. The technician arrived today with an IQ4 box but no satellite dish! He said that the call centre did not schedule it correctly and that he would organize a digital antenna to be installed free of charge. He said the install would be in a couple of days and that someone would contact me. In the mean time I would not have access to free to air channels! I asked if he could put back my IQ3 box and he said no! I called Foxtel to find out what went wrong and of course got a call centre person who could not tell me anything. I asked for a supervisor, but was given the Australian call centre. Apparently, the request for a digital antenna was not received! The guy told me that the next available schedule would be in 3 weeks! Comedy of Errors! Foxtel, you need to get your shop in order! I have just a days wages waiting for something to be installed today. Now I have a disruption of service. Terrible experience!

The holier than now attitude of Foxtel…

The holier than now attitude of Foxtel about Exporting jobs overseas, and exploiting cheap labour.

As a consequence, customers here in Australia are treated with contempt and shifted off to overseas call centres, where English is not their first Language. You spend hours on chat windows trying to articulate your issues, month after month. Still can not get the account right despite you paying the agreed subscription every month and agreeing to pay any extra upon receipt of a transaction report of what was incurred and when. Despite my subscription being paid monthly by the periodical, I am sitting here in the dark fasting prior to surgery today and my complete Foxtel and interconnected free to air channels have been disconnected. As a 70-year-old, and if I did not want to access Paul Murray and similar Journalists of this ilk. I would have long ago Dumped Foxtel.

Those thinking of subscribing to Foxtel are there others who actually provide similar services and employ Australian support staff and actually offer Service?

Can't get onto anyone at foxtel

Can't get onto anyone at foxtel. Been trying to call all afternoon. On hold so many times it's ridiculous. They must think you have nothing to do all day. Lucky i wasn't working today. No progress, have given up. Will not get foxtel again

Terrible service and customer support

Terrible service and customer support. I signed up for the Foxtel free trial and was unable to cancel the subscription before the end of the trials subscription ( the link on my online account did not work to cancel)- Foxtel then went on to charge me for the next month. When I tried to get on to someone to find out what had happened there was no one available to help me. After a week when I was finally able to get on to someone, they advised me they were unable to help me as I hadn’t cancelled in time and I was liable for the full fee. The agents were rude and unhelpful - I do not recommend them and the ‘Support’ they offer as part of their service is ridiculous

Save your money

So first of all I’ll talk about the positives… Foxtel do offer a lot of content, with exclusive TV shows and movies occasionally , Not to mention sports if that’s your thing and news . Unfortunately, for what I’m about to say I may sound like I’m a racially prejudice person… But I am not , The phone operators for help support can barely speak English ! A constant source of frustration for me . When the new IQ decoder was upgraded, I found it was buggy and glitchy - Once again I get back to the customer support, I couldn’t understand anybody on the other end of the line so none of these issues were truly resolved . Frankly, I find other services like Netflix or even Disney+ far better value for money … so that it else where .

Disgusting lying patronising Company with no moral compass

I am a disabled person in a wheelchair who watches a lot of tv - it is something I rely on.
The conduct of Foxtel over the years has given me nothing but stress, disappointment and contributed to my lack of faith in human nature.
Everytime I have engaged with them (if I am even able to get through after huge lengthy waits) I get foreign speaking people I can barely understand.
I was disconnected from Foxtel because when I rang to complain about yet another issue apparently I told them I wanted to be - which is an outright lie.
I then spent 45 minutes waiting and 1 hour 20 minutes talking to them.
I was told if I wanted to get reconnected I had to pay a $35 connection fee and the package I was on would be another $20 a month as they could not on their system give me the same package they had offered a month before because I was now a new client.
Also I lost everything on my IQ and I would never get back what I had saved.
The service from Foxtel is beyond unacceptable and the staff are patronising, difficult to understand. The repeated phrase every call "I understand your situation Madam" is condescending and presumptuous. How the hec would they know what life with disabilities and being in a wheelchair is like and relying on tv?
Do yourself a huge favour and don't ever sign up with them
