Impressive New Black Kitchen
A great product with excellent workmanship and skilled contractors. The Black Hampton kitchen we installed was really impressive. The communication process with multiple contacts and email sign in system was somewhat clumsy and hard to manage.

BEWARE OF FREEDOM KITCHENS
I have an ongoing nightmare dealing with Freedom Kitchens. My wife and I are renovating and we are due for our kitchen to be delivered this week, but we’ve found out that they are trying to change the finish of the cabinetry. Apparently we’ve been sold something they can’t supply anymore and they claim we signed the contract even though we were not shown the final finish.
I’ve escalated this with Freedom Kitchens and it has been a rinse and repeat response.
At the moment, I wouldn’t recommend Freedom Kitchens and beware of their contracts unless you know their range back to front.

We love our new Freedom Kitchens…everything ran smoothly, from the designer, to the tradies, to customer service. We love creating beautiful meals and memories in our new Freedom Kitchen
We love our new Freedom Kitchens kitchen.
Everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. Friends and family that have seen the kitchen absolutely love it too. The customer service emailing system was easy to follow and when I needed any reassurance about something, they responded very quickly.
Thank you Freedom Kitchens team.

Horrid, bullying customer service
Its a shame you can reply to their response TrustPilot: in response to Freedom's reply below, you love to copy and paste a lovely response to everyone's complaints and I recognise you are just a person working for a terrible company. But you arent willing to help with any complaints which was made very clear when I had to deal with you. Thankfully our job is completed and I NEVER want to have anything to do with Freedom Kitchens again.
Initial review:
I wish I could give this review 0 stars as they really don’t deserve anything. What a horrible company. The actual product, the cabinetry is of good quality, although I would advise not to get the press/ release doors as they are so annoying and often don’t work.
The entire operational and customer service experience is terrible. Not only did it take months extra than planned, we had so many incorrect panels sent to us, we were waiting months for installers to come and finish the job and when they arrived freedom hasn’t given them permission to do everything we had been waiting for. When confronted with this freedom staff then bullied the contracted to complete the task yet later I found out refused to pay them as they had done the work without permission.
Additionally we had errors with our design where a large gap was left between the pantry and the wall where a larger cabinet was available. When I requested that freedom change this I was put onto a senior person on the completion team who attempted to bully and intimidate me.
I made numerous written and verbal complaints which were met with silence and not responded to.
Don’t waste your time and money on this company. There are so many great and affordable kitchen companies. Go with them.
Look at their Facebook page and you will see how many people have terrible experiences

Don't do it
Where do I even start. First, before you decide to get a kitchen from Freedom, have a look at the other FB reviews, not these Trustpilot ones. These look like bs ones not real reviews. There's not a single positive review which really paints a good picture and sadly my experience is just another of many.
I'm actually still in disbelief at the way Freedom have treated us. We paid them THOUSANDS for a kitchen and when they mismeasured it (first by the designer and then by the check measurer), they would not swap 2 cabinets over so that our kitchen would fit. Just 2 cabinets. After battling them for a while about this, they MADE US PAY for the new cabinets. I mean, what company does this??!! Tell you one thing, measure up another, and then make you pay to have what you originally agreed on. They told me I had "a change of mind". From what? Err umm, yeah I changed my mind from what? A kitchen that doesn't fit because it is too big? Wtaf.
They are also shocking at replying when you have any issues. Don't call back. I only heard from them once I had contacted Fair Trading.
We like you, just wanted a beautiful kitchen and a hassle free experience. We got none of that and I know there are plenty of other people who have had similar experiences, just look at the reviews. My husband is in trade work and he knows a tiler that works for Freedom who gets yelled at all the time turning up to jobs from clients furious at Freedom for similar reasons.
The Bench Top factory on the other hand who install the stone bench tops were amazing. I would highly recommend them but use a different cabinet maker.
Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.
*EDITED TO REPLY as Trustpilot does not allow you to post a reply
There you go again. Blaming the customer for your mistake. A little accountability from you wouldn't go astray. I feel like i'm being gaslighted by Freedom kitchens.
Did I sign the contract? Yes. Did I measure the kitchen myself beforehand? No. Why? Because you had 2 people on seperate occasions measure my kitchen so I didn't think I had to check measure the 'check measurer'. Is that not what the check measurers job is?
I went by Jack your designers WORD and verbal conversation which obviously doesn't mean a single thing.
Lets just be clear, when you say you worked with me to get the new cabinetry, that was you charging me for our new cabinetry AND there was no discount provided by you. Only the $100 refer a friend which I had not yet received. You did not offer me any further discount. None whatsoever.
The tradesperson is obviously a subcontractor that does work for you and yes, he should not be subjected to that abuse. Perhaps if you were to reflect on the many many many unhappy customers feedback and try and improve your service then this would not be a problem going forward.

PLEASE, DO NOT GET a Freedom kitchen
PLEASE do not get a Freedom kitchen. You will pay a premium and get shocking service. I could write paragraphs on how back the entire experience has been.

We love the end product and it is personalised to our taste.
We love the end product. Luke did an excellent job levelling the cabinets for the stone top to have a perfect fit. He is a very busy person but managed the project perfectly. Cabinet itself is good quality and we would recommend it. We completed the project within our budget.

Professional and dedicated
Today l had the final measure up with Michael, so it seemed timely to send some feedback through. From my first catch up with John (designer) through to having Michael out to measure up l have been very impressed. John is a terrific designer, helpful and full of great design advice. He was always happy to take my calls and answer my questions, even having an adhoc meeting to go through some possible late changes. Michael was extremely professional and very easy to communicate with. He cared about the kitchen design as if it was his own. I really appreciate the small tweaks we made, Michael really knows his stuff and helped centre my sink cupboards as much as possible. Looking forward to the final product.

Installation began 4 months ago and not complete !
My kitchen installation began back on 1st February and unfortunately over 4 months later is not complete !
While my Freedom designer and the online design team were excellent and the quality of the cupboards very good, unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding installation. Freedom do explain that the installer is a sub contractor, having said that I thought that they would only recommend a reliable installer but have found that is not the case. Freedom have since been to my home to inspect the kitchen and agreed that it is both incomplete and repairs are needed ( the microwave trim kit has never been installed and I have drill holes in kitchen side panel). More than three weeks later not only have they not carried out the work but they have not given me a date as to when I can expect it to happen. Installation having begun 41/2 months ago my patience has run out.
Any new kitchen is only as good as the installation. Freedoms brand and reputation is being damaged by bad sub contractors. My guess is that they must have so much work at present that they don't care.
In my experience if you have any problems with your kitchen installation you are going to find it very difficult to have them fixed !

Great experience - love my kitchen!
Love my kitchen! My experience with Freedom kitchens has been great from my initial discussions with the very helpful Beverley in the Frankston showroom through to the installation. I found the portal for communication really easy to use and the admin staff always replied to any question in a timely manner.
My favorite part of the process was installation due to fantastic team of tradies, under the guidance of Rod. The process was seamless and all of the people were punctual, friendly and extremely helpful - especially Jim who had some fabulous ideas to finish off the project (he's a whiz on handle placement !) and Adam (plumber) who helped sort out my blunder with a tap order and calmed me down out of that panic!
The only thing I would perhaps see that could be improved, is a slightly more flexible range of sizes of cabinets which would make designing a bit easier.
The finished product is amazing and has made a big difference to our family.

Not only do this company support…
Not only do this company support bullying in the workplace, they also mislead the public. If you purchase a couch, as we did, you might want to know that it is not made in Australia, it is shipped from overseas and sits in shipping containers quarantined and then opened and sent to their warehouse. Apparently, according to their manager at Logan Qld this is not something they disclose. Check their COVID 19 plan, it doesn't talk about his anywhere!!! BUYER BEWARE. Oh, and if you pay the balance in full, you are told that you will get your product sooner as you will be pushed to the top of the cue. How can that be? Do Freedom have the power to influence orders via customs and deliver ships faster to ports in Australia? QUICK TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, 4 MONTHS LATER, STILL NO COUCH - it's in a shipping container "waiting to be unwrapped and inspected"!!! PLEASE!!!! You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!!

Showroom and kitchen designer was excellent. Communication was great. We delayed the fabrication and install because it renovation timings which wasn’t an issue. Also were very helpful when the freedom contracted installer made some errors and new panels had to be sent. Would definitely use again.

Warning: Choose another supplier!
I am writing this comment in utter desperation. We contracted Freedom Kitchens in November of 2020 to design and install our new Kitchen, extra large Laundry and Butlers Kitchen. (It is now end of May 2021 - 6 months later!) We were told that the install would happen before Christmas, which is why we entered into the contract. Then we chased and chased only to be told that the soonest install was actually end of January (and I had to cancel my Birthday trip with family to accomodate the instal date). This meant that ALL the trades we had booked in for our renovation who come after the install, needed to be cancelled and rebooked. Given that they were so busy, they were fully booked up by weeks and even months, so this inability to meet the promised instal date of before Christmas has significantly impacted on our renovation timeline and blown out our holding costs. Now, I have been waiting for more than TWO MONTHS for our installer to come back to complete the installation of the final two panels. We have CHASED AND CHASED AND CHASED. The installer wont return calls and the head office staff are incredibly unhelpful. After weeks of no contact, we were promised that the installer would be here early last week. When he didn't turn up, I called and called head office. We were then promised the installer would be here on Thursday. (We were away on Friday, Sat and Sunday organising the move to our new home in regional Australia). It was vital the installer show up on Thursday as our staging and marketing photo shoot were to happen today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday). Now, we have had to CANCEL our staging and shoot as the installer did not show up as promised, and the kitchen is STILL not finished and therefore the house cannot be photographed to list it for sale. The staging MUST come in one day before the shoot as the staging is costed on a weekly basis, so we cant have expensive staging in the house for weeks and weeks waiting for Freedom to finally come back in - if they ever do - to finish the kitchen. We now cannot get staging back (as they are fully booked) for more than two weeks! So far the decision to choose FREEDOM and the delays associated directly with you has cost us tens of thousands of dollars in mortgage holding costs and is delaying us putting the property on the market. And, the market is now waning... So the ultimate sale price will no doubt be affected too. I cant get any help through the head office phone number. The person responsible for our account comes across as completely disinterested. She won't connect me to a manager or to the CEO's office. There is no process for complaints to be followed up - let alone our job to be finished after all these months. I am left with little choice but to reach out today to the Office of Fair Trading and speak to my Lawyer about how to recover our costs from Freedom, when all I actually want is for our Kitchen to be complete. This is a nonsensical and poor way to conduct business. I do not recommend using this company.

Two months since our Kitchen installation and still not finished
Our kitchen installation commenced in mid March and two months later no one can tell me when it will be completed. No matter how many times I contact Freedom kitchen's and they promise to get back to me, they never do. The only way to get a response is by posting online. The latest scenario was I called on Tuesday morning and was assured an update would be provided before the end of the day. no update was provided. Tried again on Wednesday, same issue. On Thursday I raised a negative review which I placed in mediation and immediately got a response that someone from Freedom Kitchen's was already working with me on the matter. No one from Freedom kitchen's was working on the matter as I wouldn't be taking things to this extreme if they were. It's very obvious that Freedom really doesn't care about their customers who have just paid tens of thousands of dollars, if they did they would be doing everything thing possible to get projects completed and working closely with their customers to ensure any issues were remediated quickly. After waiting 2 months for my kitchen to be completed I think it's perfectly reasonable to say this isn't good enough. At this rate it is going to take 3 months + to get my kitchen finished. Buyers, be aware as I don't want anyone else to go through the issues that we are going through.

Be aware you are dealing more with thier contactors
Feeedom Kitchens to a point were great it was when the install happened that we had a bad experience. Freedom provide you with the contractor and prepare the trades quotes but then accept no responsibilit if theres a problem. The contactor charged us $1892 to install the kitchen and tried to finish it in 1 day. When they couldnt finish they said parts were missing and that they would organise with freedom to get the parts. After they left I found these parts in the rubbish !!!! Also we noticed non of the overhead cupboards opened or closed properly. The bulk heads were not installed correctly and the doors on the bottom cupboards were not straight. We paid over 10k just for the cabinets..... We tried to take it up with the contactor who directed us to Freedom who then told us our installation contract was with the contractor and has nothing to do with them.
We ended up having to pay another contractor $450 to finish off the kitchen as we expected. We also tried to getr a refunfd for the items in the trade quote that wasnt supplied
1. Matching bulk heads and cornice $195
2. Rubish remove $85
Extraction hood install $95
But as we paid the contactor on the day in full as requested we have no chance of recovering this.
In a nutshell be aware of what your signing and dont pay for everying in full until your happy with the kitchen
Since this post its been over a week and although Freedom have replied and said they will get in touch to this day nobody has. They have taken the money and ran.....

love my freedom kitchen just wish there…
love my freedom kitchen just wish there were a few more choices. I realise that kitchens can cost any amount you wish to spend but for the budget conscience
a few inclusions with price would be advantages. Twenty plus thousand might not seem much to some for a kitchen but I feel that is a sizable investment so a few items that could either be purchased with the kitchen or at a latter date would be helpful. i.e: wine rack, spice rack, round corners on benches pantry inclusions etc.
