Terrible service, No accountability, AVOID Freedom Kitchens

We signed a contract with Freedom Kitchens for our new kitchen back in early August 2021 and it is now December 2021 and our kitchen is still not finished.
When we signed the contract we were under the impression that Freedom was managing the kitchen design and installation process the whole way through to completion, however, all they have done is provide the cabinets and leave the installation to the tradesmen they have recommended. Unfortunately, neither Freedom nor the main installer traddie has taken accountability for the installation of our kitchen and we seem to be bouncing from one side to the other.
We are trying to get some issues in our kitchen rectified (e.g. panels missing, top cabinet dropping, cornices poorly installed and finished) however the main traddie installer doesn't seem to give any importance to finishing our kitchen and Freedom is simply asking us to coordinate with the traddie.
Needless to say, the whole process has been extremely frustrating and not what you expect of a premium company such as Freedom.
We strongly recommend everyone to find a smaller kitchen company that manages the production and installation themselves so you can avoid headaches.
Please avoid Freedom Kitchens, it is not worth the money or the hassle.

UPDATE 20-JAN-2022
Unfortunately, after more than 4 months of having started the installation of our kitchen, the works still remain incomplete. Freedom's response to our initial complaint above mentions that they will resolve our issues as soon as the fabrication of the replacement parts is complete.
The new door and panels arrived in our house in December 2021, however, they still haven't been installed and nobody from Freedom has bothered to call us to confirm an installation date.
I cannot stress enough how poor is the customer service of Freedom Kitchens and how frustrating the whole process has been. I encourage anyone thinking of upgrading their kitchen to avoid Freedom Kitchens for their own mental sanity.

The door to suit your pantry and the flue cover kit have been ordered as requested and they are currently in production with our factory.

Unethical and Dishonest company

My kitchen was finished in April with cupboards delivered that varied greatly from those shown in the show room. After months of argument they agreed to install the pull out pantry that was in the showroom because (as advised by my installer) the one provided was not working correctly though they maintained it was.
They delivered one and sent their installer who had no contract signed with ...he could not install the new pantry as parts were missing and re-installed the old one. Low and behold it now worked perfectly and I agreed to keep it. A few weeks later and the pull ot pantry door was falling off and the screw were stripped.
I notified them of the warranty claim. No they said not a warranty claim.
Finally, I got a new door but they refuse to send someone to fit it.
They offer me money to pay a tradesman but if I do that it will negate the warranty.
They refuse to take any responsibility for their warranty and continue to push for us to take action to void it.

As per their answer someone will be in touch...yes. There only offered option is to accept money and get someone to install the door. Still refusing to accept it is a warranty claim. I have in writing that it will affect the warranty. Don't deal with this company unless you enjoy high levels of stress

THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER

THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER.
The biggest mistake that we have made was to choose Freedom Kitchen.
We got our kitchen done in 2018. Countless issues with the products, deliveries, responses, quotations, installation and warranty. After the installation, a huge pile of rubbish and old kitchen were left in the middle of our living room over a month.
2021 is about to end, we are still having a lot of issues.
Absolutely nightmare.
During 3 years, they replaced some defect parts under the warranty but with exactly same defect products.
The warranty period is 7 years. 3 years is gone already.
3 message has been sent, 1 reply after several weeks.
Every time when we message, a new person answer the phone, so we had to explain whole things for the last 3 years. They are buying time to end our warranty periods. If we could leave a zero star, we would.

Appointment Cancelled

After speaking with the Showroom consultant at Kotara (Leeann), who was pleasant and helpful I felt very comfortable booking an appointment for one of Freedom's designers. Prior to the appointment an email was received to confirm, however the link does not work. I received a phone call, requesting I ring back and confirm. Which I attempted to do, after waiting for over 30mins I gave up. Tried again, waited 20mins this time to be informed as I had not confirmed my appointment was cancelled. I informed them the link does not work, which they said they were aware of and that I needed to call, I explained I tried but gave up after waiting some time. Their response was "sorry".
If this is how they treat prospective customers this is not the business I would be comfortable handling any kitchen redesign.

STAY AWAY FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR FAMILY

Whatever you do. Stay as far away from these people as you possibly can. Me and my family have JUST gone through ABSOLUTE HELL with these people. They do NOT deliver on time, they DO NOT care about you and they DO NOT do ANYTHING to help you. They have been atrocious to deal with. Here I am, still waiting for our kitchen to be installed and we've been living out of our makeshift kitchen in the garage for 6 weeks due to these incompetent non-care company.

Excellent kitchen

Having previously painted my old kitchen cupboards and benchtops and noticed the paint was starting to peel, and viewing new kitchens we decided it was time to upgrade. There are so many kitchen companies to choose from and whilst Freedom didn't have the 5 star rating that I normally chase, we found the staff in West Gosford to be extremely friendly, approachable and extremely helpful, so we signed up. The designer came out and helped us pick and choose from the many options/items available and drew it up very quickly in CAD. Once drawn up the cabinets were ordered, built and delivered and installed in the specified time that was advised and happened in the nick of time before covid hit. Yes we did have to drop in a bit more money than what was originally quoted, but it was worth it (ie splashback wasn't included, and some of the trades cost a little more, etc). 3 months later and we are enjoying our new kitchen.

The worst company I’ve ever dealt with

Here we go again, I was promised last week (after I posted in this review) that my missing door, draws and other items were underway and would be delivered to me last Friday. OH, and they’d check in on the Friday to make sure everything was ok. None of that happened, I’ve sent 3 further emails, because no one either answers the phones, or if you’re lucky enough that someone does, they have no idea and will get back to you. And guess what, they don’t either!

So I have trades booked for here all this week, I have no idea if the missing, damaged, or just plain cut wrong will be here at all. I have to manage a site during Covid restrictions STILL, and no one from Freedom is even reading my messages let alone calling me. It’s only when you put your grievances on here that someone actually takes it seriously.

Please if you’re thinking of getting a kitchen through these guys, don’t! They are no cheaper, in fact I would have happily paid more to get the kitchen I ordered, rather than have to fight every step of the way to get my kitchen at all.

I love my new kitchen!

Got exactly what I wanted and it turned out better than I expected. Designers were efficient and timely. It didn't require a week to get back to you with a design after telling them what I wanted like most stores do; the designer stayed and completed the layout on his first visit within just a couple of hours in front of me. The following tradespeople carried out the jobs efficiently too finishing in less than quoted lead times and happily surprising us. Very happy overall with the communication over the portal, service and final product. Thank you freedom kitchens.

Great quality product

The quality of products is great and the initial consult for the kitchen design was thorough, practical and well informed. The installers of the kitchen were A grade!
Only improvement is that the communications were at times a little slow when we sent questions

New kitchen in my rental property

I just had a new kitchen put in my 1bedroom investment property as the original kitchen was very old. I chose Freedom because of the creative design they came up with to maximise space. But I was surprised by the level of customer service from Freedom at each step, from the design, responsive communication by phone or online when i had questions or changes, supplying on time, super helpful & polite delivery guys, and the installers were very professional, on time and again really polite and helpful. The quality is also great and it was a good price. I would definitely use Freedom kitchens again.

Enjoy my new kitchen during covid lockdown

Happy with the overall experience (Design, Delivery, Installation, Customer Service). It's challenging during covid, but the team make it easy for us. Understand they are some gaps when we do the kitchen design via Zoom call, but it works really. It's real time-saving. From my experience I arranges stone and splashback locally, so it helps with the overall cost & logistics of organising it.

It was a long process but the service…

Poor experience, poor service.

Avoid this company. Our experience has been poor. Cupboards arrived dirty and some damaged. Company has refused to assist with providing clean new cabinets. Very disappointing.

Deposit - not refunded

They will take your deposit and it is very difficult to get it back, if ever. I cancelled within 40h of seeing design, on a weekend (Friday night-Sunday afternoon). It has been 8 working days and no response. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. If they think that $1541 is a joke, I don't and I will escalate further to media and beyond. Shame!!!
