My kitchen counter developed a crack…
My kitchen counter developed a crack after a year. THe countertop factory, and the stone factory and Freedom all came to inspect, despite showing photos. They could find nothing wrong with the installation, and all agree there was a flaw in the stone, or stone cutting. But no one has honored their warranty, NO One>!

This is my second kitchen with Freedom…
This is my second kitchen with Freedom Kitchens and definitely my last! No communication throughout the entire process and an absolute nightmare with the installer. Delivered a quote for trades that was out by thousands. Left to argue with the different trades about changed prices and work that was unfinished. Avoid these incompetent fools like the plague! Never again

Worst Kitchen Company in Australia!
The problems were the delay after delay and the lack of communication. We have waited 6 months for a delivery date that keeps getting pushed back for really pitiful reasons. I regret booking them!

DISAPPOINTMENT
A new kitchen is an exciting prospect, my wife was very excited, now 5 months later with a kitchen still not finished the gloss has gone.
I understand due to the times the kitchen build did take a little longer but the builder supplied has to be one of the most unreliable tradesmen I have ever met.
Freedom will say they are only the fabricator & trades are your own responsibility, however they nominated the builder who will not reply to phone calls, texts or emails. Apparently he will not even reply to Freedom.
At this stage i am not going to name names, mainly because our kitchen is still not complete but beware of which builder you select north of Brisbane.

1 star because I can't give zero
I couldn't recommend more strongly AGAINST contracting Freedom Kitchens.
We had so many problems that I will just highlight a few of the more pertinent ones:
1. Large price increases were imposed on cabinetry if a deposit was not paid on the initial design consult. This placed a lot of sale pressure on us as the customer based on initial contact with the company.
2. Our deposit was paid in October and the designer guaranteed installation in January, this was even written into our contract. By the end of January we did not even have a trade team allocated to our job who were able to install our kitchen. Now in late February they have still been unable to allocate any team that can install our kitchen and have finally refunded over $7k of deposits that we have paid them. Over a 5 month period we have been very proactive in moving this forward with minimal response or action from Freedom Kitchens.
3. The initial trade team allocated to our job failed to attend their schedule site check. When they were contacted about this they refused to install our kitchen.
4. The second trade team allocated to us took 5 weeks to provide a trade quote which was meant to be provided immediately following the first site check.
5. At the time of paying our deposit the Freedom designer assured us that the trade team they allocate could do all of the relevant trades to install our kitchen and laundry including minor interior construction and electrical. After waiting for 5 weeks for the quote from the construction team they requested that we contract our own separate electrician, builder, tiler, plasterer and plumber.
6. There is a fine print point in the Freedom Kitchens contract which states that contracting a suitable trade team is entirely the responsibility of the customer. However the company refuses to provide a list of Freedom installers to contact and no such list can be found online. The only way hire an installation team is to have them allocated by Freedom and in our experience of 5 months of constant correspondence they were unable to allocate a team that could install a simple kitchen and laundry in an inner city apartment in Sydney with onsite trade parking.
7. When our issues were escalated to state management in NSW, over a period of 1 month no progress was made with our job.
My overall impression is of a company that is eager to sell their product and take the customer's money but once they have your money they have minimal motivation to progress your job.
I am just thankful that after 5 months of wasted time, I have been refunded my money and can now give it to a company that will actually install the kitchen that I purchase from them.

If only their customer service were as good as their salesman
This is the first time I’ve written on a review website, showing the frustration I have felt while dealing with company all the way along. I truly wish I could give them 0 stars.
No communication. Don’t answer calls, hang up on you, don’t reply to emails or messages. Take your money then could not care any less.
Then to be told the day before delivery that it won’t be arriving!

Very disappointed.
Very disappointed.
My family used them literally weeks prior to me agreeing to design with them. They were very late on supplying the stone and did not communicate anything to my relatives.
I met with the same designer and he advised because we were on a timeline he highly recommended there stock standard product (Essential Range) which would be supplied within 10 days from final measure and payment. As I was getting the stone from another company i figured the delays wouldn’t hit me.
The doors and kick boards are now 2 months late and I was only advised of them being on back order after I paid the final amount and a week before my scheduled delivery date. (Promised it was stock standard and readily available).
I am still waiting for it to arrive and Freedom refuses to provide me information and accurate information. I have to chase them up to get a response from them. I have now spoken to their partnering company Hafele who advised they have been telling freedom but freedom is choosing not to tell me.
This is costing me money as I have had to pay call out fees on other trades that now have to be delayed and could only do a portion of the work.
On their website it clearly still states that once final payment is made you can expect your essential range to be delivered within 10 days. See screenshot below.
I do not recommend them at all, it is truly disappointing that companies like this act this way. Now 2 months without a kitchen and I only get an update when I have to call to chase it up. This constantly gets delayed.
It is costing me money and I hope they take this seriously enough and look to some sort of compensation for the lack of service and dishonesty provided by their company. After spending $12000.00 with them they just collect your money and avoid responding.

Can't give 0 stars unfortunately
Can't give 0 stars unfortunately. Worst kitchen company ever. I have not had an oven in my kitchen since November. These people go home and are able to cook their dinner each night in their oven, so why should they give 2 hoots about their customers. Cabinets made wrong, been waiting since December for it to be rectified. Their QA guy was the most rude and arrogant person ever, why he is sent to deal with already aggrieved customers, I have no idea. Oven cabinet wrong, so oven does not fit. Microwave cupboard wrong, so we have had our microwave in the laundry since December. Hinges on corner cupboards are visible due to the huge gap in the corners (normal they are telling me) Promise to fix, promise to send someone out, appointments not kept, no follow up...just wish I had looked for reviews first, I normally would, but Freedom Kitchens I thought were a reputable company. Freedom Kitchens DO NOT install your kitchen, they just make the cabinets. You as the consumer are left to then deal with trades. Freedom Kitchens have no QBCC licence here in Qld, because of the way they have structured their business, so consumers are left in the lurch. I did not want to manage the build of my kitchen, I thought this was what Freedom Kitchens did. For your own sanity, use a local kitchen manufacturer over these people. Have absolutely had enough and have reported to Fair Trading and will get someone else to finish my kitchen and Freedom Kitchens can pay the bill!

Waste of time
I had a design appointment with a Freedom Kitchen designer in Victoria a week ago, and although he was lovely and designed exactly what I want, I have not heard a word from Freedom since.
I requested a copy of the drawings and quote to consult with my partner who was unable to make the appointment, the designer told me that Freedom do not like to share that information and the best he could give me was a hand written, total spend, not cost breakdown at all.
I have reached out to Freedom twice now to request a copy of the quote and drawings to get the ball rolling, but nothing.
If this is the kind of service that Freedom offer, then I will not be proceeding with them as my kitchen supplier.
I had read all the reviews online but decided to give them a go anyways, once bitten, twice shy.

Disappointed
Disappointed, Dark doors that were supposed to be fingerproof (not) so white cupboard carcasses behind are really obvious. No blanking panel underneath the upper cupboards, just left white and ugly, LEDs for above bench lighting, just stuck to the bottom so pedestiran, didn't go ahead with them, to hide them = hidden cost of $500. Cannot reach upper cupboards or doors.etc Will not recommend Freedom Kitchens. They are very helpful until the kitchen is in. and problems occur, then you don't hear from them, hard to contact with 1300 number.

Do not use this company
Still waiting for our Freedom kitchen to be completed, and defects fixed. After many phone call and emails, with no outcome I decided to post on Freedom's facebook page. As promised an inspector came out before Christmas, acknowledged that some doors were inferior, position of handles on cupboards were not aligned, drawers side rails were missing in some, glass shelves were too long and should have been replaced months ago (we had been told that they had been sent by courier, but no record of this). New shelves arrived, but same length as originals - too long. Phoned Freedom, told someone would phone back, but received a message instead. Replied to the message but no reply. In the message, we were told to get in touch with the installer, to arrange a time for him to rectify problems with the kitchen - haven't heard back from the installer either. Oh, also forgot to say that we can't open a cupboard door fully - not enough room, and our laundry bifold doors can't open fully (means we can't open up the washing machine door) unless we leave the pelmet off the adjacent sliding door. With the pelmet off, we now see the ugly sliding door track. So there were problems with the original design of the kitchen, parts were missing, shelves were too long, and communication with Freedom was poor.

Really disappointed in Freedom Kitchens
I signed up for a Freedom kitchen on 16/7/21.
I was told i could expect a 6 to 8 week delivery/installation.
Installation did not start until 9/11/21 ....it still not complete on 3/2/22. 29 weeks and counting !!
So disappointed.
Would have found another supplier if i had known i would be waiting so long.
I understand these are difficult times, but this is unacceptable.
What has been installed looks great, but there have been Quality issues with some panels and these have not been addressed.
I really expected much much more from Freedom.
Still waiting .... unlikely it will be complete for a number of weeks ...who knows.
Very clever of them to collect full payment before installation.... I imagine things wouldve been a lot quicker if they were waiting a final payment. I will never sign a contract like that again.

Ignoring request to discuss faulty workmanship.
Has anyone else been totally sidestepped when they reach out to discuss faulty workmanship?
We have had to call someone in to rectify faulty workmanship and Freedom have just ignored attempts to communicate either by phone or email-
0ther than saying they will look into this with the people concerned.

Where to start!
Where to start!! This company has been a nightmare - six months since signing the contract, three since beginning of installation and still our kitchen isn't finished. Three times doors have been sent back by the installer for replacement due to various reasons, either wrong colour, imperfections or just incorrect sizing. Each time we wait, the installer doesn't respond to our messages (he insisted on being paid in full on the first day of initial our incomplete installation) and his frustration with Freedom is clear but he appears to have given up on our kitchen. Freedom Kitchens don't respond to messages either, perhaps due to the sheer number of complaints they receive and because they also have been paid in full, three months ago. Don't be fooled by the initial consultant, who was excellent, in our case - it's all downhill from there.

by far the worst service ever
by far the worst service ever. they take a very long time between inspections etc. upon inspection for kitchen installation price doubled and have refused to give refund for deposit.

A Great Experience!
I was initially concerned after seeing all the bad reviews on facebook but decided to go with Freedom anyway and give them a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Each step was of the process was seamless from initial measure to check measure to installation and then benchtops. Given this was all done during COVID the process was very quick. The behind the scenes team was great in accomodating all the changes I wanted to make to the initial layout and drawing over the Phone.
The only reason I give this a 4 and not a 5 is due to the initial on the spot measure and quote. We went with a later session which started at 7PM and ran though to 10:30PM. So we said we wanted to sleep on it and get back to her tomorrow. After this the sales assistant became VERY pushy stating that the sale (25% off cabinetry) was only valid for today, when I knew it was valid through to the end of that month and insisted we had to sign the contract and pay the deposit on cabinetry and stone on that same day at 10:30PM on a weekday.
Other than this experience, which I know would push a lot of people away. My experience was pleasant after this and I'm glad I gave Freedom a try, I had no other issues with the quality of the cabinetry or any of the other procedures

Great experience with Freedom Kitchens
I have to say that our Freedom Kitchen is the best quality. We are absolutely love our kitchen and butlers pantry. The quality of the kitchen is amazing. From the drawers to the cupboard doors. Our experience with Freedom Kitchens has been fantastic. We had someone looking after the progress of the kitchen from the beginning of the Design to the completion of our kitchen. All the tradesmen were professional and great to work with. It was a smooth transition from the old kitchen to a new beautiful kitchen.
Communication with Freedom kitchen Staff has been exemplary.

Freedom Kitchen Renovations
I recently had my kitchen renovated by Freedom Kitchens. The whole process from start to finish was really smooth and handled very professionally, with just one point of contact, as everything organised by them. The tradesmen arrived when expected and their work was to a great standard; everything worked like clockwork. They were polite, courteous and conscientious. The hardware and materials used were also of a very good quality. I was kept informed by Freedom Kitchens every step of the way and they checked in to see how things were going. I have recommended Freedom Kitchens to my friends. Freedom Kitchens have exceeded my expectations and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you Freedom Kitcens!

Starting to wish we didn't choose Freedom
I'm really starting to wish I could go back in time and choose another kitchen provider. Our experience with the design process was pretty good, delivery was also relatively good. The install however is not not going well. We're due to have our kitchen installed next Monday and found out via our builder when contacting the named installer that he no longer works with Freedom. We've been straight on the phone to Freedom Kitchens to understand who the replacement installer will be but with no success. Coming close to 10 calls in the last 36 hours and being promised countless times that someone will call us back with news, we're still waiting. This causes a lot more concern as we have other trades working around the kitchen installation being completed, if Freedom's contractor which they've been coordinating fails to show on Monday then we'll potentially be at penalty with them for delays and unable to move back in to our unit.
