Rip off.

We approached Freedom kitchens for a quote, “Designer” came and was given very healthy budget for kitchen, she did her thing, measure, draw, etc. At that time we were not 100% sure we will go with Freedom, we were under impression that she is giving us a free quote, and that we can rewiev and go trough it or not, however she asked for deposit to hold price, and we paid deposit still thinking that it’s all good, before we knew, they started taking money and we realised that we are actually locked in a contract.. Any way, kitchen arrived, and to add insault to $46K kitchen and installation, they have supplied bulkheads and another panel that is also face of the kithcne in different material and colour is not matching. They forced us to pay another $2098 for matching buklhead material even though we were already charged for those! I have mail from designer that stated that our kitchen and buklkheads are SAME material.. i have proof in e-mail that states that we are to be supplied bulkheads in SAME MATERIAL FOR SEAMLESS LOOK.
so now we have almost 50k kitchen that we absolutely HATE!

Thanks for nothing freedom

My advise for everyone who even considers is JUST DONT. PLEASE JUST DONT, go to your local joinery and cabinet makers. freedom kitchens are not worthed, They said we signed documents, and yet, We signed what they served trusting that we are getting what we paid for. and YES WE PAID FOR THOSE BULKHEAD, TWICE NOW! First time designer charged us, and second time they asked for payment again!

Please just don’t do it..

I have a great Freedom kitchen that I…

I have a great Freedom kitchen that I love! Firstly, the designer really understood the brief - and based on that understanding they applied really clever problem solving techniques for us as a family to get the max from our kitchen design! And then for installation - a meticulous and thorough installer was able to come in ahead of time - yet with an eye on perfection! All before Christmas - and the hoard of guests that arrived from overseas. Thank you very much to Freedom - replacing a kitchen is always quite an exercise, and Freedom made it as painless a it could be, and I felt I got much more than I would have elsewhere.

Big reno made easy!

Very helpful during the whole process, from initial design with Jay, cabinetry selection, through to delivery. Worked seamlessly with our builder, and followed up with us to make sure we were happy with the reno.

Have NOT supplied the velocity points as discussed. Designer “forgot” items discussed. While I enjoy my kitchen I am NOT impressed at all with cost VS attending to clients enquiries- which are still unanswered. Go elsewhere and get what u deserve

Freedom Kitchens a one stop minimum stress full kitchen renovation place

We wanted a full kitchen renovation before I retired and in the timeframe that we were after. Freedom provided the complete package. From the showroom sales person, measure and quote, online portal, trades estimate seperate to the kitchen installation (which gave us an idea of the total cost), ideas to change the positioning of appliances, delivery on time of our new kitchen, CAD department final plans, co-ordination and planning of the trades, follow up phone calls, etc. So many people all friendly and helpful making sure it was a one stop shop if you wanted it all handled by Freedom Kitchens. The installer made suggestions for slight changes if he thought they were a better option. Every tradie cleaned up after they finished. Highly recommend Freedom Kitchens if you want a minimum stress all inclusive kitchen renovation package.

Deceptive and manipulative company

Very pushy, deeptive and manipulative company. They advertise a 'free' design service, but unless you sign a contract on the spot you have to pay 50% more for cabinetry, so they force you into a decision that you are not ready to make. You have to pay a 10% deposit at this time. I accept responsibility for having made the decision when I should have told them no. After having spent a lot of time trying to make their proposed design work in my space it just wasn't feasible as the space is so small. I then tried countless alternative layout options to make it work but could not find a solution. I started trying to contact Freedom to cancel my contract in November and it is now January when they have finally called me back. I have been very patient. I am now told that I will not receive $800 of my deposit back, and not only that but I can't use it for an appliance or benchtop, or anything ancillary - it can only be applied to $5000 worth of cabinets. This clause IS NOT in the contract. This company is deceptive and manipulative and I have reported to NSW Fair Trading.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Really poor customer service once paid they didn't reply to emails or phone calls for days. Everything that was wrong was someone else's fault. The quality of the kitchen was at best on par with bunnings. We struggled to get things looked at when we raised them and When we did we were always told that they'd send someone out to fix it but we're still waiting. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FREEDOM.

All steps should be followed.

The lead up was great, the build and the team that was supplied were great…. Tiler was way to expensive but we leant our lesson on that.
Kitchen was gutted and rebuilt in 5 days.
Unfortunately no after service was supplied. No follow ups nothing. Would have got 5 stars if that was better.

Freedom did our dining area display cabinet

Freedom did our kitchen, butlers pantry and laundry 8 years ago and I had no hesitation to use them again when doing a display cabinet in the adjacent dining area.
This time it was all done online and it was very easy. Our designer could see what colours we had used in our kitchen years ago and was very helpful in suggesting a colour that blended with the kitchen.
The installer did a great job as did the other trades we used provided by Freedom.

Exceeded Expectations

From the beginning, Freedom Kitchens took the time to understand our needs for a new kitchen. The designer showed us features and a layout that met our requirements. The order process was efficient and very helpful. There is no doubt that the resulting kitchen has completely improved its functionality and added a wow-factor to our home. It is the integral part of a major renovation, one we are delighted to show our friends. Thankyou Freedom!

Freedom kitchen

We had Harley come out and help design our kitchen he made everything easy and design options. We had already looked at what we wanted. Organisation was easy from deliveries to trades. We had a minor mishap with our pantry but overall we love our kitchen and how it has turned out.

I have a modern stunning Kitchen - Love It.

Love Love Love our Finished Kitchen. Kitchen will suit us through retirement with easy pull out large draws that hold so much stuff it's unbelievable deleting the need to get down on knees. We were very nervous in our uptake on our Freedom Kitchen Renovation but the outcome of the finished renovation is more than we could have ever dream with plenty of easy access storage and bench space. Freedom Kitchens came and measured and discuss ideas to suit the space and our needs. This experience was great but we were nervous when we realised Freedom Kitchens supply their own flat packs and the design is built around their flat packs. Love the idea made in Australia. Understand what you are signing and double check everything because the purchaser is like an owner builder with the use of contractors to complete the work. We went through Freedom Kitchens recommended contractors and were happy with their work. Very polite and clean workers with aiming to please the customer. Be aware that electrical work blew our quote out of the park because of the wiring in our house built in the 1980s with the installation of our induction cook top. Older houses may have more costs depending what is hidden behind walls. Overall though it looks great finished and made me declutter which to be honest was well over due. Wish I could have added photos.

Think twice…don’t be rushed by them

I decided to go with a Freedom Kitchen instead of custom made and have a few regrets. The design is ok but a few things that irritate me. I have to be very careful that my dishwasher is fully closed or my draws bang into it and what I thought was going to be a corner opening cupboard is only a normal door and opens towards my oven and can hit it if not careful. The cupboards above my stove top don’t line up. I was never advised that the kick boards have to be set back further than my original kitchen which means I have a large gap of concrete showing till I can afford to replace my floors. Talking about gaps…I thought I was getting a dishwasher space but this was just a gap between cabinetry and the side panel does not go to the floor which means rodents have access to all under your cupboards. I raised this as a concern and was laughed at!! Also told that it needed the gap for plumbing which is not true. I also have gaps above my kitchen cupboards due to where the bulkhead was setback to. Yet again contractor recommended by freedom just rolled his eyes and fixed it by a little strip of plastic. Coordination between stone supplier and cabinet delivery very poor and I was forced to change my benchtop choice or I would have had no kitchen for an additional 6 or more weeks. Make sure you get prices for trade and don’t just go with theirs for ease or you pay a crazy premium. Only thing I think was worthwhile was using the installer as he was amazing.. just a shame he didn’t get all the money I paid for cupboard installation as the builder whacked on his cut. The care from the builder was very poor. Reason I went with contractor was cos I thought I would be covered for damage to my place but that was not the case.

Flat pack experience

I bought a flat pack kitchen from freedom and paid $500 every 6 months until I was ready to install it. Unfortunately I ran out money when doing my house renovation so this option worked out perfectly for me. Freedom don't offer installation for their flatpack kitchens but my installer had no issues. Their customer service team were always available as was my initial designer when I wanted to change my plans before final sign off. Overall an easy and stress free process.

Freedom Kitchen

Customer service team was overall good to deal with and communication was clear. But were insistent on delivering even though we were not ready for installation or else additional storage fees would have been applicable. We ordered a small kitchen for a studio apartment that my husband installed without any issues. The quality of the kitchen is ok but was expecting a little bit more for what you pay. The only other thing that we were disappointed in was not being able to order some extra matching bench top after delivery for a study nook that we were wanting to build. Apparently small orders are not possible through suppliers.
