My account was suspended…

My account was temporarily suspended due to suspicious activity from what I believe was a deliberate attack on my business. Freemius team responded quickly, explained exactly what happened, and got everything resolved professionally. It's reassuring to know that Freemius takes security seriously and actually protects their merchants. Highly recommend for any software or SaaS business looking for a reliable monetization platform.

This company is a fraud

This company is a fraud. I canceled both of my subscriptions last January, and they still charged my card $290 yesterday. I have the screenshots that clearly show that I canceled in January. And, when I try to log in it even says "we don't have an account with that email address." It won't let you contact support unless you have an account-- so if I don't have an account, why did you charge me $290.

Suspicious billing activity

The only reason I've heard of this company is because multiple charges were attempted on my credit card that I didn't recognise. I have never knowingly bought anything from them. The product identified was 'freemius buttonizer' which I'd never heard of.

The plugin I bought from them is sold…

The plugin I bought from them is sold under Aelia: The support is great very responsive but the actual plugin just does not work effectively with Woo, I tried a couple before this but did find Aelia to have the best features but its the only one which stops the analytics from working. I reached out to support who did their very best and told be to do something which took about a day for it to sort itself in the back end but it still was not 100% accurate. I would still recommend the pluginif you are not bothered about analytics as it is good. The biggest frustration I had with this is although they know it does not meet the needs of what I need they have still refused to refund me. The purchase I belive may be outside of the chargeback period but I still will reach out to the bank to see if they can reverse the payment as the digital product sold is not fit for my purpose.

Total scam

Total scam.

Will charge you after you cancel, and then will lie about it and fight back with the credit card company.

Absolute garbage people with no ethics.

Facilitating Scams - Zero Customer Protection

My experience with Freemius has revealed them to be nothing more than a payment processor that enables dishonest developers while offering no real customer protection. Their platform facilitates transactions but provides no meaningful support when issues arise.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬:
Despite sending multiple emails to their official support with clear evidence of a developer removing documented features post-purchase, Freemius couldn't even acknowledge receipt of my complaint. Their total silence continued for weeks, demonstrating they have no intention of mediating disputes or enforcing honest business practices.

𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲:
While claiming to offer customer protection, they refuse to honor it when developers change core features after purchase. In my case, the plugin removed critical functionality without notice, yet Freemius ignored all requests for intervention. Their policy is effectively meaningless since they won't enforce it.

𝐄𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐭-𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐬
Freemius knowingly processes payments for developers who:
1. Remove features without changelog notices.
2. Provide false technical explanations for changes.
3. Update documentation only after complaints.
Yet they take no responsibility for these deceptive practices happening on their platform.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬:
Freemius provides no meaningful consumer protection. They ignore emails, refuse to mediate disputes, and enable dishonest developers. Any plugin using their platform comes with substantial risk - you'll be completely on your own when things go wrong.

They were charging me 3 years for a plugin I never used

In April 2023, I paid for their Clearfy plugin, and 10 days later, I found out that the plugin had ruined my sitemap. It messed up all my sitemap directories. I cancelled my subscription and emailed them explaining the problem, and if I remember correctly, I asked for a refund. I don't remember if I got it or not, but today, 2 years later (!!) I found out that they are still charging me for their crappy plugin. They charged me almost $150 since 2023 for a crappy plugin that ruined my traffic in just 10 days of use! It took over 6 months to fix it all and get my traffic back!!

Stay away from Freemius Plugins

Definitely a company to stay away from. Rather than offering support, they are using a distraction tactic. Definitely if you have a problem, you will be halfway there. For example: The Code Snippets Pro website says that he is a part of them. But when there is a problem, he does not accept. Then why are you writing your name there? I trust you and buy. Please don't deceive people. I've been a victim. Please be careful.

Freemius billed me again for an account…

Freemius billed me again for an account I cancelled last year. I was never able to download Ocean WP and Freemius handles their billing. When I verified the cancellation last year, I thought the issue was solved. However I was just billed again and refused a refund. Their suggestion was that I contact support at Ocean WP and I cancelled the account because i could never get a response from Ocean WP.
I have the chat log from last year when Freemius refunded last year's payment and said that the account was canceled.
