I have had very good experience using From Japan. I’ve used other similar services and 1 I won’t mention ,ya, canceled my order twice and a third order ended up with an out of stock item when it finally shipped. I’ve gotten items for great prices and the shipping was surprisingly fast. The packaging was top notch too.
excellent and reliable shopping service
i've been using from japan's service for years. it's also reliable and speedy. i bought a wide range of stuff from watches to toys to clothing, earphones; size ranging from a suitcase size carton to a small packet; prices from high to low. it never failed to deliver or got me any glitches anytime. the discount given is the icing on the cake, i do miss the 10% off for rakuten purchase (now usually just 5%) though.
i do hope they could also do forwarding but, anyway, they're amazing for what they did and I'll definitely highly recommend their service!

Excellent service
I already bought several times from them and service is excellent. They also provide counselling which is very nice. I had a problem with fake photocards and they refunded me an amount because the item was fake.

For reference: I am a Swiss Customer. My first time ever using this service. Everything went amazing, they answered my questions honest and sincere, very fast and wanted to help me out as much as possible. I paid everything as described on their website and was extremely satisfied with their process after I paid everything. Japan Air shipment went great. It arroved safely to my home via swisspost and I had to sign the package downstairs before I was able to collect it. Had a great experience dont know about the others :D
Predatory Shipping
This is my second time using their service and I thought the second time would be better. First time, I received two boxes, one box literally had one item that could've fit in the other box. The second time (This time) they put my stuff in a box that was way too big. It wasn't even halfway full. They are predatory with their shipping. I asked them to consolidate and they didn't. I won't be using them ever again.

Super reliable website!! I've been using From Japan since 2021 and have never had a bad experience. Their customer service is exceptional.
Stay away...period
They are very rude to block customer's account without any consent when they loose the resolution case. Losing the case means they are wrong, Yet they have an audacity to block the account to protect their ass. Stay away. And their service fee is super expensive.

I had FromJapan help me order a PVM and they packaged the item brilliantly. PVM can be easily damaged as its a tube TV essentially but how they packaged the item was impressive. FJ boxed the PVM, also protected the screen, and then put it inside a bigger box all protected by styrofoam. Very impressed! Thank you FromJapan!

Insanely speedy and quick response. I had an order that I needed to cancel the shipping of due to unforeseen circumstances and the support team managed to quickly prevent it from leaving the warehouse and reshelved it for me in the mean time.
Jake the customer support who aided me always gave the details I needed and was attentive to all my questions and concerns, even the last minute ones. They really won't let you down. They saved me because if they didn't cancel the shipment, my item would have likely been lost or thrown out.
Extremely unfair and frustrating…
Extremely unfair and frustrating experience with One Map Japan.
This was a simple shipment of one pre-owned dress, weighing less than 0.5 kg, shipped to Hong Kong, where no import customs tax applies. However, the entire process was handled in a very unreasonable way.
Although customer service always replied, the responses were not helpful at all and did not lead to any real solution. The shipment was delayed due to an incorrect HS code In the initial shipping document, the item was declared as new clothing, which was incorrect. I had to contact customer service to request a correction, as new clothing must have original brand tags, while this item clearly had no tag and was clearly stated as pre-owned in the product listing.
In addition, there was ongoing confusion regarding the receiver’s full name, even though the parcel was delivered to a forwarding facility that processes shipments by code, not by personal name.
One Map claims to be only a proxy service and does not handle shipment directly, yet when issues occurred, I was not allowed to deal directly with SF Express or pay the fee to the carrier myself. Instead, I was forced to pay repeated and overlapping fees through their platform, despite the mistake not being caused by the customer.
What makes this even more unacceptable is that:
• I was not allowed to cancel the order
• I had already paid full price for the item
• I had to pay additional reshipment fees
• I was informed that reshipment could take 2–3 weeks for a very small item, with no clear justification
This situation feels extremely unfair and lacks basic business ethics. A proxy service should protect the customer, not push all responsibility, cost, and delay onto the client while refusing cancellation.
I expected transparency, flexibility, and accountability — none of which were provided. I would strongly not recommend this service based on my experience.

Misrepresentation and Fraudulent selling practices
I wish I could give One Map a negative rating. My real experience reflects a company that is irresponsible, unreliable, and does not honor its commitments. The seller used photography techniques to conceal serious product defects, and the item arrived with significant hygiene and condition issues, amounting to clear misrepresentation and fraudulent selling practices.
One Map, acting as the purchasing agent, initially approved my return request but ultimately failed to honor their own written promise, refusing the return after two months of delays. This behavior is extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
Below is a detailed account of the issue:
1. Item Received in Severely Misrepresented and Unhygienic Condition.
I purchased a used bag in September 2025, order# 21319067U. What arrived was completely unacceptable:
All four bottom studs were rusted and leaking rusty residue; The interior was broken, stained, and in extremely poor hygienic condition; The outer leather had visible scratches not shown or disclosed in the listing. This condition was not only inconsistent with the listing description, but also raises serious hygiene concerns. It reflects a lack of respect, transparency, and accountability in the transaction process.
2. One Map Initially Approved My Return and Promised Instructions.
On October 4th, I submitted a claim with photos and requested a return and full refund. After review, on October 6th, One Map’s Customer Service replied with: "We can make a one-time exception for this case." They formally accepted my return request, with the return shipping cost covered by me. I immediately replied on the same day, confirming my acceptance and asking for return instructions.
3. Two Months of Delays and No Return Instructions Provided.
From October 6th to December 9th, I contacted One Map multiple times requesting updates. Every response told me to continue waiting for upper-management review. For two entire months, One Map failed to provide: return instructions, timelines.
This prolonged delay itself is unreasonable and unprofessional.
4. One Map Reversed Their Commitment After Two Months.
On December 9th—two months after approving my return—One Map suddenly denied my claim, stating:
“Used item condition issues are not covered.”
This contradicts their own written approval and disregards the evidence provided.
One Map failed to honor their agreed solution, causing financial loss, stress, and significant inconvenience to the buyer.

Great proxy, would use again.
I had a great experience ordering items through FROM JAPAN. While there were some factors beyond their control such as seller domestic shipping speed and international shipping costs, the staff were prompt when possible and packaged the items compactly. Although I was charged a great amount for shipping, I was automatically refunded some of the shipping cost due to the actual dimensions of the package after consolidation. At first, I thought the shipping prices were quite expensive, but after comparing with one of its competitor companies (Buyee) and calculating the shipment cost through my selected delivery service's website, it was a very fair price after considering how fast the package arrived. I chose FedEx Intl. Economy and it arrived much faster than expected. Upon arrival, everything was packed well and had ample protection. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely consider using this service again in the future.
Customer Services was amazing
Customer Services was amazing when needed, cost of shipping was high for larger items but that's outside the teams control.
Lack of responsibility
FromJapan needs to take more responsibility for the packages they ship. My order has been stuck in customs because FJ did not do a good job of filling out the necessary forms. But then when I reached out the customs issue, they say it's the customer's job to take care of them. The lack of responsibility is appalling. If FJ does not want to handle custom issues, they should provide customers with tools to fill out the necessary info BEFORE shipping, so these problems don't occur. As they don't, FJ needs to take more responsibility for these type of issues instead of blaming the customers.

Very bad experience I place my order…
I had a terrible experience with your company. First, I placed an order and it took forever to complete. On December 18, 2023, you even shipped my order to the wrong address. It took a long time for me to receive the goods.
On November 30, 2025, a Sunday, I placed an order at 4 a.m. but received a refund on December 1, 2025, a Monday at 3:36 p.m.? It took so long to place the order that I thought Monday was a holiday in Japan. Since the item was sold out, I used Bibian Store to complete my ¥110,900 purchase order.
