I had ordered a Olaf adult size mascot costume to wear at a school kid's event during Xmas. We wanted to have a Olaf come in person but no one in our area does that. So instead we just rented the costume online and used it for a few days. We actually only used it twice but we got to keep the costume for 5 days. Two different adults got to wear it, it fit both of them good. One is like 6 foot and the other a lady maybe 5 foot 6. The Olaf looked like the Olaf from Frozen, the company also has Anna and Elsa but we didn't get those cuz of budget maybe next year. It's a good looking mascot and fits well for the price it's worth it.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Jeff is an absolute crook. He quoted me a price, exchanged multiple emails with the price in the subject line, and then increased it by $140 without my consent. He had a teenager hold my daughter's birthday party hostage until I paid cash in full! The poor worker told me that Jeff DOES THIS ALL THE TIME and, while the worker was very apologetic, he had to follow orders. Don't hire Jeff's company unless you are ok with unscrupulous business practices and have extra money laying around that you aren't expecting to spend. My good friend (and great lawyer) says we should go after him...I'm still waiting for his response.

Here is his original email and quote. He can say/send whatever he wants but this is what was agreed to. I was happy with the worker but would NEVER work with Jeff again and DO NOT recommend.

Additionally, as you can see in his original email, he says to order online which is not possible on his website. Just another example of his unprofessionalism.

His unprofessionalism knows no bounds. He responds to my review by posting my PERSONAL INFORMATION. When I asked him to take down my personal information, he told me that if I take down my bad review then he will remove his response.

THE WORST!!

I'm glad I found this place, cuz it's the one place I know in my area that your able to get anything you need for a kids party from one company. Instead of having to make like 100 calls to different companies, I just called this place and rented a bouncy house, a clown and a cotton candy machine all in one and it only took like 15 minutes. Some places in the past it's like a ton of back and forth and they take a long time to respond. This company was the fastest and easiest place I ever ordered from. And all the stuff we rented was great. It all came on time the staff were cool and nice and the equipment worked great. And it was clean too. This was one of the easiest and best party rental places I've worked with.

I was looking for something fun to do for a 4 year old girl's birthday party who loves the Bubble Guppies. Her fave is Molly but there's nothing near here to do with a Bubble Guppies type theme. So did some Googling then found this place. Turns out you can hire an actual live Molly from Bubble Guppies to come out to the party! Whoa. So fun. The birthday girl's eyes lit up like a Xmas tree when Molly walked in. Super fun! Molly stayed for about an hour and did games with the kids. At the end we took some pictures. What a fun idea to give a little girl. It's a little bit more than we wanted to spend but I understand because it's not easy to find something like this, especially now during COVID. Even for the extra money it was worth it for the look on her face!

I had used this place to hire a children's clown for a company event we had. I was the person responsible for finding something fun for the kids to do at the event. It's a little bit harder now during covid to find activities that are both safe and fun. I called a few places and finally found this company. They suggested we get a clown to do balloon animals and paint the kids faces. Sounds like a fun idea and also safe. The clown lady wore a mask and was able to stay distanced from the kids during the balloon animal twist. She did one kid at a time during face painting. She was there for 2 hours and we paid about $350. All in all it was a good experience, the clown that came was super friendly and organized and made good use of the time she was with the kids.

We recently had a Paw Patrol theme birthday party for a 4 year old girl. It was kind of hard finding a local company that would send out real live characters. Fortunately we found these guys and we were really happy with them. We ordered 2 of the Paw Patrol characters, Chase for the boys and Skye for the little girls. It was good to have 2 of them cuz we had a lot of kids. They did nice games and other stuff for little kids. I really liked the costumes they used they were very cute and really did look like the actual characters. It's not easy to keep a bunch of little kids entertained for an hour but they managed to do it. At the end we did some pictures and cut the cake. Cute way to make a kid's party a little extra special!

We wanted to do something fun for kids during our holiday company party. We ended up using this company to rent an Olaf and Elsa entertainment to come visit the kids. They came out for an hour and did games and took pics with the kids. The staff they sent out were very professional and their Olaf and Elsa costumes look great. The kids had a fun time and everything went smoothly.

I used this place when we were having a Scooby Doo theme birthday at our house. Party was for a group of toddlers and a few slightly bigger kids. Just wanted to give the kids something fun to do for an hour or so that wasn't too much of a covid risk. Since the part was Scooby Doo theme we ended up hiring a Scooby Doo mascot costume party character from this company. Their costume looked REALLY good, very professional and seemed pretty newish. The performer played some basic party games with the kids and took pictures. Seems like an hour is a good amount of time, especially for the kids we had which were only about 10 kids in all. Good communication and easy to work with. The guy showed up right on time, too.

We rented an Olaf mascot costume for an adult to wear at a company party we had this year. We didn't have many kids and we kept it small due to covid but still wanted to do something fun. We rented the Olaf costume and one of the managers here wore it for a couple hours then we took turns and someone else put it on. It's hot in the costume so it's a good idea to have more than one person who wants to wear it if you're going to be using it for a while. The costume was clean and in great shape when it arrived, it seemed like it was brand new or pretty close to new. The kids had fun and it was a good party idea especially for what we paid which was less than $200.

I had called this company to rent a couple of Sesame Street theme mascot costumes for adults to wear. I mostly wanted the Elmo and Cookie Monster and I was really happy to see that they have both of them. I ordered online and I got a tracking number sent back in return. The order process was pretty straightforward. Costumes came 2 days before our event which was fine. Having a tracking number helped because the whole time I could see what day they were coming in and never had to worry about it. Costumes fit great, were clean in good shape. These are HOT costumes so remember that because even though they have airholes in the mouth and eyes of the head you will still be TOTALLY covered up and they are made out of fake fur so it's definitely something to consider, if your party is outdoors in the sun. All in all very happy with the service and quality of the suits, would definitely order again.

I found this place online after looking a while for somehwere to rent some Sesame Street theme kids party mascot costumes. Mostly we wanted the Elmo and Cookie Monster but unfortunately they were out of the Cookie Monster one so we ended up renting Elmo and an Abby Cadabby. It actually turned out to be a great choice because we had a mix of both boys and girls at the party so it was kinda nice to have one of each character. The costumes looked great, the order process was easy and the company kept in touch with us the whole time. They emailed us ups tracking info ahead of time so we knew what day the costumes would arrive. They got to us 3 days before the event so we never had to worry about it. The return process was easy too. It's a good resource for kid's party characters and it seems like they have a ton of inventory, pretty much all the really popular stuff. The ones we got looked just like the tv show and were new especially the Abby.

We hired this place to send a Cocomelon party entertainer to a group of 4 year olds at a preschool party. The entertainer who arrived did a great job. Her name was Julie, she was patient and friendly with the kids and stayed extra time to take pictures even though it was kind of a warm day. The Cocomelon mascot that they use looks great, it's very clean and seems like a new model and really looks like the tv show character. She brought a bunch of games to play with the kids and it definitely kept them occupied for the entire time she was there. Good company, easy to use and very professional.

I had hired a Molly Bubble Guppies party character entertainer from this place. She was supposed to come out to entertain a bunch of 4 year olds at a birthday party. She came about 15 minutes early but that was fine cuz all the kids were there and ready to go. She offered to wait around if we needed but I told her no just go ahead. She changed into the costume in a few minutes and came out and played a bunch of games with the kids. The games were pretty easy just basic kid party stuff like for younger children which is what we had, like kids mostly 4-5 years old. The costume she wore looked really good, very professional and actually quite a bit like the real molly from the bubble guppies cartoon. It was something good for little kids, I think kids older than this might not have been into the games cuz they were pretty much for younger children but for the ages we had it worked out pretty good.

I rented an adult size Poppy from Trolls movie mascot costume from this place. Even though I had ordered it kinda last minute it still came on time. Actually got it like 2 days before the party which was great. The costume fit good, was maybe a little bit hard to see out of and kinda hot but still looked great and the kids had fun. Got lots of cool pictures and for the price of the rental it's a good deal cuz we got to keep it for like 4 whole days. They also have Branch but we only got 1 to save some money and it was still fine. There aren't any places near here to hire a real life costume character to actually come out to the party so this is the next best thing and it's also cheaper than having to hire a live person. Plus with covid it seems safer cuz there's less contact with someone you don't know. To return the costume I just had to drop it at the UPS store down the street after. Whole thing was easy and smooth and added to our Trolls theme birthday party

I tried to book them, but the communicating with them is impossible. They seem either very busy or don't care about the customer. If they are like that before taking the money, how would they be after taking the money. Worst of all, they don't talk on phone. Not recommended.

Thankfully I check other review here. And saved myself.

There should be an option for zero stars. The (owner?) of this company was so extremely rude and unprofessional I honestly thought I was being pranked. I’ve never in my life had an experience like this. His correspondence was short, condescending, and seriously just unbelievable. I am in total shock that this guy is in business and people actually pay for his services. I can’t stress enough how awful this Jeff Herring person was, I know people say this.. but I NEVER write reviews. This was such a crazy experience that I had to share..do not give this person your business, money, or time. He should honestly be ashamed of himself.

Agree with other reviews this is terrible company if you don’t want a headache during your event don’t book them. Here is what happened to me i ordered pony and petting zoo. I paid 125 deposit and was supposed to pay 370 at the event. His text message clearly said pony zoo. And if you look at their website 495 is price for an hour of petting zoo and pony. The guys showed up 40 min late with NO pony. And then he made me pay same amount as it was with pony. He keep saying that funfactory deposit doesn’t count and they are separate company. Be careful with paypal, in the text message he said 495 pony zoo, but when he sent paypal receipt it was just petting zoo for 495z when you try to complain they refer you to the paypal receipt and say see its 495 and there is no pony listed! Anyway it looks like i am not the only one these crooks ruined the party for so please just don’t book with them!

I'm at a very interesting position due to the fact I have worked for this company for over 10 yrs off and on.  I had no idea the owner Jeff was the way he was.  Let me explain.  I went to an event Jeff booked last weekend but the client said he already had a magician and Jeff was rude to him and unprofessional.  So I left the event and told Jeff I still needed to be compensated for my time as I had turned down bookings for his event as well, he said ok and never paid me.  Little did I know he had cussed out the client and threatened bodily harm come to his kids and covid as well.  I couldn't believe it.
DO NOT BOOK YOUR EVENT WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOUR KIDS SAFE.  JEFF NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO BBB and THE AUTHORITIES FOR MAKING TERRORISTIC THREATS.  I HAVE SCREEN SHOTTED HIS TEXT TO THE CLIENT.

Stay away from this company. Shady, unethical, rude and condenscending. Here's an sample of email received after asking a question twice:

"For 178 times, I told you this before.... You are slow..."

Jeff takes a deposit of more than $208 for Peppa Pig and cancels his appearance 3 DAYS before the event. I ask for a refund and he repeats himself that it is NON-Refundable. Highly recommend to stay away from this business!!!! Do you want Jeff and his staff with his unethical behavior and shady ways of doing business around your kids????

I paid a $250 deposit for a pony and a character for my daughter’s birthday. The total quoted cost was $550.

After a week, I get an email saying the pony is sick, asking if I could either move the party to another day (nope, party is in 10 days) or keep the character only.

So what does Jeff do? Aside from having a completely rude tone (after me being understanding), he attempts to swindle
me.

Jeff increases the price of the character to $350. He claims he had sent me an itemized quote saying this was always the price. Nope. Never had an itemized quote. Even so, this would mean the pony only costs $200? Per their website, a character is $215 and a pony is $385 per hour.

I then tell him refund me, since this is not working. He offers only a $150 refund of my deposit, even though in writing he told me he would give me my full refund.

So my options with Jeff and Fun Factory Party are as follows:

1. Pay $350 for a $215 character ($135 swindle)
2. Get $150 of my $250 deposit back ($100 swindle)

Even if I went with the first shakedown, what is to say I won’t get another note from Jeff saying the character suddenly can’t make it?

Now I am out $250 and nothing for the party.

Unethical. Shady. Stay away.
