Kevin took the time to speak to the family as a group, and then individually so that the service he performed for Mum's funeral was insightful, personal, touching and most of all a very comforting and reassuring. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kevin - he was a huge part of making that day special and memorable for us in all the right ways.

She was very punctual and great at communicating what needed to be done and when. She likes a laugh which just puts everyone at ease and settles the nerves. When my mum recently passed away, my family & myself had a plan in our heads as to how we wanted her final journey to be. We wanted it to be a huge celebration of her life with lots of humour & of course poignancy.

One of the 1st tasks was to find a celebrant that would take to the stand, carry out our plan whilst at the same time doing our wee mum proud.

Kevin McLaughlin was our 1st choice. To be honest, there was actually no 2nd or 3rd choice in our minds.

I knew Kevin but hadn’t seen him for a number of years. When I found out he had become a celebrant, 6 months previously, my immediate thoughts were what a great person to do a job like that. Kevin always came across as a fantastic orator but also a great listener.

Anyway, fast forward a few months & we were in the position to find a celebrant. It had to be Kevin, without a doubt. So when I approached him he very graciously accepted to do the job.

From the very beginning Kevin listened to what we wanted said at our mum’s funeral & he said to me, he would do whatever we wanted, however we wanted. In fact, in the end Kevin also added to & enhanced what we wanted said which was a huge bonus!

On the day, Kevin spoke of my mum with eloquence, humour & grace. Everything he said & how he said it was perfect & absolutely everyone in my family agreed. At the funeral tea afterwards friends were coming up to me singing Kevin’s praises & friends that didn’t know my mum well were saying how they felt they actually knew her and how well Kevin had put this across. In fact, even 2 weeks after the funeral, people are still mentioning Kevin to me and what a good job he did! And I wholeheartedly agree with them!

Well done & thank you Kevin, you really did do our wee mum proud!

Christopher Griffin was our celebrant for our wedding in September 2024 in Edinburgh. He was so nice to work with and offered several suggestions and options for us to build a ceremony that reflected our personalities and story. He helped break down each step of the ceremony without making it overwhelming. The actual ceremony was fantastic and Christopher set the perfect tone. We cannot recommend Christopher enough and are so grateful for his time and effort. Many of our guests mentioned how much they appreciated his delivery and handling of the ceremony.

From the minute we met George, we were instantly made to feel at ease and comfortable. George showed so much care in every little detail about us in order to make sure our ceremony was original to us. Our ceremony was most definitely a highlight of our wedding day thanks to George! He told our story better than we could and we are forever thankful for all his support over the past few months! Thank you so much George, you’re the best about!! 😊

Marjorie Russell conducted our ceremony in November. Marjorie truly was a fantastic and one of a kind celebrant. She was thoughtful and warm from our first meeting and helped us out in big and small ways for our big day. She very kindly steered us through the process and kept us on track to make sure everything was ready for the day well in advance.

Marjorie worked closely with us to reflect on what mattered most to us and helped us prepare a unique ceremony that made our guests feel welcomed and included.

Marjorie also helped us with filing of our marriage paperwork and made sure everything went smoothly.

Our ceremony was so special and heartfelt thanks to Marjorie and it was our absolute honour being her last couple to marry ❤️

George McLean Scotland's Humanist Celebrant

George was really the best. He took everything onboard that we wanted from our ceremony and delivered. George was so approachable and met us before hand explaining many different symbolic gestures we could include. George is witty, funny and also so genuine. Our ceremony was easily our favourite part of the whole day and that was all thanks to George. A massive bonus was that he made up a reel of our day and it was very sweet and well done. We have had lots of our guests praising our ceremony as it was so personal to us. If you have yet to book your celebrant, we highly highly reccomend our celebrant George to any prospective couples.

From the first time I met Thomas I knew I wanted him to do my wedding ceremony. He was helpful and explained the process from booking to what happens on the day. From our first call with my husband and I he made us feel at ease with the planning of the ceremony. From our final call where we answered questions to the transcript of our ceremony he captured us well and told our story amazingly. We had so many compliments from guests on how amazing the ceremony was and it was one of the best they had been to. We can't thank Thomas enough for making our day so special and telling our story the way he did. Would 100% recommend Thomas for your wedding ceremony you won't be disappointed.

You don’t know it yet but George McLean is the celebrant for you! From booking until the goodbye on our wedding day George was professional and provided expert service.

The ceremony itself was nothing short of exceptional. The structure, delivery and entertainment from George made our ceremony a highlight and to be remembered! Guests commended George on the work and the enthusiasm he brought to our wedding day.

I also could not praise George highly enough, the work put into face to face meetings which made you feel like you and your partner were his top priority and the content he would produce on social media is a brilliant touch as part of the package giving every one a preview of the venue and work everyone had put into the day.

Eilidh and myself cannot express how amazing our day was, George during the whole process felt like a friend you had known for a life time which is a compliment to the person that he is.

An unfortunate turn of events meant we needed a new celebrant a couple of months before the wedding and we were feeling a little stressed having thought we’d already found our perfect match. However, when Gina arrived on the video call we knew within minutes she was the celebrant for us!

She was warm, funny, relaxed and genuinely invested in us and our love story.

We had a LOT of thoughts and ideas about how we wanted our ceremony to go. Gina jumped in with both feet to help make all the details come together so it could be perfect and personal to us.

She was a delight to work with and genuinely we don’t think anyone else could’ve made our day so special and fun.

We had John as our Wedding Celebrant and I could not recommend him enough. During our first meeting, he made us feel so at ease and was so helpful. John was very helpful on our wedding day and put our minds at ease before walking down the aisle! He brought the vision of our service to life and told our story perfectly. Best celebrant ever! ☺️

Cindy Cosgrove was an absolute gem of a humanist! She had everything perfectly organised, making sure the day flowed smoothly and shaping the ceremony just how we wanted it. Myself and my partner had our wedding back in June and had the pleasure of Joanne Caird conducting our ceremony. We are so glad we chose Joannne as she kept us both at ease and ensure we were fully comfortable with all aspects of our ceremony, even down to almost having to step in when things got a bit emotional and I got a lump in my throat.
