AWFUL SERVICE BY SOLIHULL BRANCH! AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!
There is no care for customers no service - I purchased biscuits in store and upon opening them later that day. They 'soft' and had a ghastly taste to them. Upon realising that the packaging hadn't been secure thereby making the biscuits stale. I called customer service up and they sent a message through to the Solihull branch and awaited their response which should have been 24 hour reply they replied 48 hours later via email requesting a copy of my receipt to be attached by return e-mail and promised that they will sort this out. No mention of how was given. I have waited over a week with no response whatsoever from JL Solihull Gift department which is shocking. I know it's just biscuits but it is the morality of the situation having been a customer of JL Solihull and JL for quite some years. Having purchased in their beauty, home, clothing and having just spent loads of money for furniture and blinds at this store recently. The service is atrocious. What annoys me the most that when I called customer service back today - all they could offer that they 're-open the case' huh... re-open how could this be. I asked if I can speak to JL Solihull manager but was told they do not have the ability to do so and I would need to go into the branch to speak to the Manager face to face. What kind of service is this? I know... NO SERVICE! AWFUL SERVICE!

Had my floor done on 7/1024 mike the fitter was amazing from start to finish very professional and knew his stuff to get good workmanship is very hard theses days could not fault mike he explained everything he was doing.. I would recommended mike to anyone 100%
Just because a company is based in John Lewis it doesn’t mean you can trust them
I ordered carpeting on 7th August from The Floor Room, John Lewis Westfield, Stratford, East London.
I was told 5-6 weeks for delivery. When I contacted them on 5th September to get a delivery date I was told they had ceased trading on 9th August two days after they got my money. They had asked me to pay by Bank Transfer as there was a problem with credit card payments. Because it was based in John Lewis I thought it was a department there not a concession .
I am now fighting to get my money returned. The liquidators PwC are almost impossible to contact or get a response. John Lewis are asking so many questions but not confirming they will reimburse me. And my bank Monzo are giving answers to questions I have not asked. I won't give up because as a pensioner I can't afford to lose just short of £2000.

Absolutely disgusting that they continued to take bacs payments when they knew they were going into administration 2 weeks ago, staff told me they suspected this as they all had their pensions paid really early in preparation. You can contact the group CEO on zero, tripple seven, one, tripple five, three, nine, four.

Absolutely disgusting company! Even if they manage to get out of administration do not support them! And do not contract to them at all costs! They don’t value their contractors in the slightest and often pass the buck onto them for problems they’ve caused themselves. They take money off customers and contractors to pocket for themselves! When Carpetright went into administration, managers promised that The Floor Room would operate with no disruptions to their contractors, blatant barefaced lies! Told after this fact that fits could not go ahead for a month till new warehouses were confirmed. Seems like another lie. Now they have went into administration and they have not informed their contractors (the fitters) of this. We found out through clicking on TFR’s website! A courtesy would have been if management had the decency to tell their contractors instead of leaving them at risk of financial hardship! SHAME ON YOU!
Cancelled my order, waiting for a refund

Carpet order was placed on 3/7/24, fitting date was postponed twice and a new date for end of August or start of September was offered. At this point I said that I will cancel the order. Went to JL Welwyn on 5th Aug to cancel order and request refund. I was told that finance dept would need to handle the refund and my details were written down on a piece of paper. Not heard anything since. Rang contact number on TFR website and got through to TFR Solihull and was given number for TFR Welwyn. Rang this number many times and no answer.
Fantastic customer service
Lavinia tried her best to give us a good service with our choice of bathroom flooring but had issues with the pay system and was most accommodating to say the least.

Super friendly service
Super friendly service! Scott came to visit our house and measure up the rooms. He was friendly and efficient but more importantly really helped with great advice and suggestions. I wanted to try to match the new carpet to some existing carpets. Scott tried a number of sample to get the best match for us and advised us of the pros and cons of different types of carpet (wool vs synthetic) to meet our needs. A super service!
