I initially got in touch with G64 cycles to look at an old bike of mine that I was looking to get fixed up to use.

They offered free collection of the bike to be looked at. When Peter arrived to pick up my bike, his knowledge and expertise about bikes was very apparent. Upon chatting, it was mentioned that my bike was actually too short for me (I'm 6ft 2).

This did make sense as it was quite uncomfortable to ride and I'd bought it second hand a number of years ago. I made the decision to donate this bike and think about a new bike all together.

Peter mentioned the cycle scheme (through work) and how I could purchase my bike through the shop with this.

I went to the shop to look at options and Reiss helped me find the right bike.

I've went with a Dawes Windermere 21" frame with some extras which I managed to get included in the cycle scheme. I can now spread the cost of the bike and accessories over the next 2 years through a salary sacrifice.

The process was really easy - price up a bike and accessories in the shop, fill in the forms on the cycle scheme online, receive a voucher for the amount, take it to the shop, get it processed and new bike is sorted. The turnaround for this for me was less than a few days!

I'm now keen to get back on my bike and use it when and where I can!

The family team at G64 are just fantastic - knowledgeable and passionate about cycles.
I commute a round trip of 14 miles daily and this store helps keep me on the road with various repairs and sundries.
Popped in this morning for a quick adjustment on the gears and my bike is now going like a dream!

This is an amazing family business that promotes a good cause and has an amazing community spirit. I know the family very well, they are passionate about cycling and happy to help anyone with repairs and purchases. More people need to get into cycling!
