We rented a medium car in Olbia for 2 weeks in August, and we got a bigger car, a hybrid. Lot of our holiday's time was spent to find charges and wait for loading, their is not so many and not so fast charges in Sardinia. The car was nice and clean, though. But the car had more damage then said so when we picked it up we send directly picture and a movie, got NO reply. When we return the car we inform about damage and not get any emailed contract. They promised everything OK no extra charges and we sign again, we left the car and they said deposit €1200 should release immediately but it toke over 30 days, we called and emailed several time still no reply?! We didn't even got any emails of the severel contract we signed despite their promised. Didn't feel safe, and we worried more than 4 weeks after we got home over that, would never rent with them again.

With a fully comprehensive insurance, a deposit of €100 had to be paid.
After inspection of the car without any damage, (certified in a document) we were told that the deposit would be refunded immediately.
In the meantime of three months and several emails, we still have not received the refund. Galdieri Rent claims that the credit card company (VISA) is withholding the amount. After having read the reviews of this company, who do you think is wrong here ?

My flight was delays 1,5h and they just did not waited, they claimed their policy is to wait only 1h and will not wait another 30min.
Instead they cancelled by booking and took all the money !!!
That is a steal.

Rented a car from Discovery.com 13 days for $200. I had my physical DL, and digital international. They said they need physical international too. Discovery rental canceled my reservation. These crooks ended up giving me a car for $500, I got it because I was away from the airport. These are the games they play to steal money.

Avoid! After waiting in line forever for our car, we were given a much bigger vehicle than we ordered. They said this was a “free upgrade” but it was actually extremely inconvenient given that we could hardly even park this thing at our accomodation due to its size. This led to us grazing the car when parking it one day, which was our fault. However, given we had our own insurance plan (seperate to the companies) we kindly asked them to provide the relevant documentation when returning the car - things such as an itemised invoice, damage report etc. This is where the real problems started. The young male was very rude to my girlfriend and dismissed her requests, and only started to help once she asked to talk to his manager. I noticed the other reviews say that these people spoke perfect English, which is ironic because they seemed to be very selective about their English capabilities when we dealt with them. For example, they could perfectly explain why a small graze was going to cost us 2,000EU (!!), but then couldn’t understand us when we said we needed certain documents for our insurance claim. There was a female working who was slightly more friendly but equally unhelpful. I was really disappointed and all the negotiations and selective understanding led us to nearly missing our flight. It’s a cash grab that preys on people who damage the car. They don’t care about customers at all.

I rented a car from Galdierirent in Venice, and the experience was unacceptable and dangerous.
The vehicle I received was not roadworthy:
• Tires were completely worn, cracked, and later began losing air daily.
• Brakes made a metallic noise at every stop.
• Dashboard showed warnings for overdue service and oil change.
When I called the office to report these issues, I was met with arrogance instead of help. I was told that if I wanted a replacement, I had to drive over 6 hours round trip back to Venice, losing an entire day of my holiday. When I asked for an alternative solution, the employee accused me of “obstructing her work” and hung up on me.
This is not just unprofessional, it is unsafe and irresponsible. A rental company has the legal duty to provide cars that meet minimum safety standards. Galdierirent failed completely.
If you value your safety and your time, avoid this company. They will not take responsibility when things go wrong, and they are willing to hand over unsafe vehicles to customers.

We rented a car in Cagliari and our experience was excellent. The staff was very kind and helpful – they even extended our rental for a very reasonable price without any issues. We really appreciated that there were no hidden fees, and they themselves recommended that we take photos and videos of the car for peace of mind.
Communication was smooth and easy, even though we are from abroad. We got exactly the car we booked – a Jeep Compass – which was clean, with minimal damage and low mileage. Returning the car was also completely problem-free, everything went quickly and smoothly.
If you plan to travel around Cagliari (which I definitely recommend – especially a trip to Cala Luna and the whole eastern coast), renting a car is an absolute must have for exploring Sardinia. One extra tip: make sure your accommodation has parking, as finding a spot in Cagliari can be a bit tricky.
Overall, we had only positive experience with this car rental and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and stress-free rental in Cagliari.🚗

Yes — we had to walk quite a bit to get to the rental office (a few minutes, which felt long in the sun!), and yes, it’s a smaller operation compared to some of the big-name car hire companies. But let me tell you — it was absolutely worth it.
As soon as I stepped through the door, I was greeted with friendly faces, genuine smiles, and even some light-hearted jokes. The two staff members working there were excellent — professional, efficient, and truly welcoming.
I handed over my documents, signed the paperwork, and within one minute I was driving away in a clean, modern, and very comfortable car. Smoothest rental experience I’ve ever had.

Sì, abbiamo dovuto camminare un po’ per arrivare all’ufficio noleggio (qualche minuto, che sembrava più lungo sotto il sole!), e sì, è una struttura più piccola rispetto alle grandi compagnie di noleggio. Ma ne è valsa assolutamente la pena.
Appena entrati, siamo stati accolti da volti sorridenti, gentilezza e anche qualche battuta simpatica. I due membri dello staff erano eccellenti: professionali, veloci e davvero cordiali.
Ho consegnato i documenti, firmato il contratto e nel giro di un minuto stavo già guidando un’auto nuova, pulita e molto comoda verso il nostro appartamento. È stata l’esperienza di noleggio più semplice e piacevole di sempre.
Grazie per aver reso questa parte del nostro viaggio così tranquilla e positiva. Consiglierò sicuramente GaldieriRent ai miei amici e familiari in visita in Sardegna!

Complete con artists, avoid. I rented a car, at night (9pm pick up) and was asked to sign off on damages, which were limited to 5 scratches. There was no lighting in the car park, so couldn't see anything before signing off. Drove to a place with lighting and noticed many marks that weren't identified in the legal agreement documentation. I took a video and WhatsApp it to the office mobile number. The next morning I did another video, which showed dozens of marks across the car. When returning the car, staff tried to charge me for damages that were already there when I picked up the car, I strongly suspect this is a scam they pull with every renter, which is obvious from other reviews online. I showed the video, that luckily I had taken, otherwise I would have been charged hundreds of Euros. The staff then made a comment about the fuel being below the level when I rented, again, I had taken a picture of the fuel guage immediately before I moved the car from the rental car park, the fuel was exactly the same
If you want the end of your holiday ruined, after an amazing break on the beautiful island of Sardinia, rent from these con artists. If not, look for somewhere that has positive reviews

At Pisa Airport, I was served by an Italian woman with curly hair who was unfriendly and even aggressive. Her English was very limited, which made communication difficult.
Despite having booked and paid for the car in advance, I was not given the vehicle. The woman claimed that my credit card was invalid, yet she could not explain what exactly was wrong with it. The card met all requirements and had already been successfully used to pay for the booking two days earlier. It seemed more likely that there was an issue with their payment terminal rather than with my card.
Nevertheless, they refused to release the car and also declined to issue a refund. As a result, I felt deceived and extremely disappointed with this rental company.
Just to respond to the comments from Gladierirent: MY CREDIT CARD WAS VALID FOR MORE THAN 3 MONTHS. THE VALIDATION DATE OF THE CARD IS ALWAYS VISIBLE ON THE CREDIT CARD. THIS COULDN't BE THE REASON WHY YOU DIDN'T RENT ME A CAR DESPITE TAKING MY MONEY. I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL. WHY ARE YOU DECEIVING PEOPLE BY WRITING UNPROFESSIONAL COMMENTS THAT DO NOT MATCH

Do not use this company!
We booked our car hire and provided them with our flight details as requested to they would know if we had landed late. Our flight was delayed. We waited an hour for the shuttle from the airport to the depot. Had to ring twice. On arrival at the depot we were told our car hire had been cancelled and we had to make a new booking which as three times the price and take out their insurance as the said the insurance I had purchased separately was not valid - it was!. As 2 female travellers with 2 children we were totally taken advantage and aggressively bullied into paying 3 times the price for our car hire. We far from the airport with no other choice than to pay what they said, so we could make our onward journey. The man who dealt with us was an absolute disgrace

I had an overall good experience with this car rental. The car was clean and in good condition, and the pickup process was quick without long waiting times. The staff was polite and helpful.
One piece of advice: I recommend getting the full insurance. During my rental period, there was a day of heavy rain with hail, and the car ended up with a few new scratches. Thanks to the full insurance, everything was covered, and I had no issues. My deposit was fully refunded without any problems.

When we first rented from Galdieri Rent, we experienced a problem where our booked car (a Peugeot 3008 or similar) was no longer available, even though we had provided our flight number and contacted the company promptly after our flight was delayed. We were told we could only get a car if we paid an additional amount, which felt unfair at the time.
Initially, our complaint through the booking platform (StressFreeCarRental) did not result in any help or refund. However, after reaching out directly to Galdieri Rent’s customer service, they reviewed our documentation carefully and decided to refund the full difference for the car category.
We appreciate this fair and professional resolution, and believe that kind of honesty deserves recognition. Mistakes can happen, but how a company handles them matters most — and Galdieri Rent ultimately did the right thing.
4 stars for resolving the issue transparently and treating the customer fairly.

Overall a good experience, the car that I booked was available and in a good condition. The return was smooth and both the staff checking in and checking out were very professional.
The issue arose after the return when no shuttle appeared after 30 minutes. When I spoke to Pablo he called the shuttle and said they would be a few minutes. Having been Italy for sometime, I am wary of a few minutes. As I was asking Pablo to check for an exact time the young lady next to him interrupted us very rudely, telling me that he had already answered my question. I was not impressed and told her so. I strongly suggest they give this lady a job away from customers or teach her some manners.

It was just awful! I have rented a car before in multiple countries and I have never came across any issues, especially none like this! We have booked and paid for the rented car beforehand and when we got there to pick it up, Catania Airport, they refused to give it us because my mother’s credit card was under a last name from her previous marriage. Mind you, we showed them a proof that it is her credit card but they refused to take that as a proof because it was a digital copy. We even tried asking them if we could pay a security deposit through a debit card and they refused. Our friends booked with this company before and they told us that every single time they used a debit card there and not a credit card! It caused us so many issues and we had to make last minute arrangements. They didn’t even want to give us back the money we paid for the car! The service was just awful and the man working there was very rude, complexed and just so unprofessional. Do not recommend this company!

Awful! Flat tyre- we lost a full day. We called roadside recovery at 10:24 am was told they couldn’t get anyone to us u til 2 pm that day! The car was blocking the road so we had to pay a local tow company to get car to nearest garage, got to garage , after 3 phone calls and given a variety of numbers to call road side recovery didn’t show up at 2 so another 2 phone calls later, we were told the roadside recovery was running late, we were stood outside our car from 10:30 am until 6:40 pm with 2 teenagers in the car, no means of travel as no taxis from where we were. We had to pay first tow truck , then lift to airport at gone 8 pm (90 mins away) then pay for road side recovery before they would give us replacement car. Lost a full day car hire, stuck and no where to go as couldn’t leave the car until we had paperwork from the roadside recovery!
The 2 men behind the counter were friendly and apologetic.
But to our absolute astonishment we have received an invoice for 869 euros !!!!! For a flat tyre , complete scammers, we have video evidence when the car was picked up from roadside recovery of them driving the car with the flat tyre up the road to the tow truck ! which IF there was any damage as they are claiming , would have been caused by that ! We have lots of pictures / videos to back this up.
Worst car hire company I’ve ever known .

Seamless experience to be honest, they do try sell their own insurance, I was happy I had my own insurance with discover cars, although I have a good limit on my credit card in my case I would have to pay any damages up to quite alot, and then claim it back, I guess this would be a a problem if you didn't have easy access to cash if it did go wrong, if I was to hire again I'd probably just take their insurance and pay a bit extra for piece of mind. In our case thankfully we didn't have to worry as we dropped the car back in the same condition we got it, car was brand new, so all in all was a very positive experience 👍🏼

Non trovo parole abbastanza forti per descrivere quanto sia stata disastrosa la mia esperienza con questa compagnia di noleggio auto. È un vero e proprio avvertimento: state alla larga, a qualsiasi costo! Questa non è una semplice azienda con un servizio scadente; è un'organizzazione che sembra progettata per ingannare i clienti e spillare loro denaro con ogni mezzo possibile.
Ho riconsegnato l'auto e un individuo (non merita di essere chiamato diversamente) mi ha accusato di aver causato due minuscole ammaccature sul tettuccio. Ho fatto notare che è praticamente impossibile per un cliente verificare la parte superiore di un veicolo senza attrezzature specifiche, ma la sua risposta è stata arrogante e sprezzante: "Era tua responsabilità fare delle foto". Nessuna possibilità di dialogo, solo un atteggiamento ostile e un chiaro intento di estorcere denaro.
Risultato? Una fattura di oltre 500 euro per danni che non ho causato e che non avevo modo di verificare. Questa non è solo una mancanza di professionalità: è un comportamento predatorio, una trappola per fregare i clienti ignari.
Se notate poi danno SEMPRE LE STESSE RISPOSTE ad ogni commento analogo al mio su google, che e' il cliente che deve verificare prima della stipula del contratto, blablabla. Una bella maniera per mascherare il fatto che sono dei truffatori !
Consiglio a tutti: non fidatevi di questa compagnia! È un’associazione a delinquere che approfitta della buona fede delle persone. Se non volete ritrovarvi con un conto assurdo e un’esperienza da incubo, scegliete chiunque altro. Evitateli come la peste! STATENE ALLA LARGA !

I can’t find words strong enough to describe how utterly disastrous my experience with this car rental company was. This is a serious warning: stay far away, no matter what! This isn’t just a company with poor service; it’s an organization that seems designed to deceive customers and squeeze every penny out of them by any means possible.
When I returned the car, an individual (I won’t dignify them with a better term) accused me of causing two tiny dents on the roof. I pointed out that it’s practically impossible for a customer to inspect the top of a vehicle without special equipment, but their response was rude and dismissive: “It was your responsibility to take photos.” No chance for discussion, just hostility and a clear intent to extort money.
The result? A bill of over 500 euros for damages I didn’t cause and had no way of verifying. This isn’t just unprofessionalism—it’s predatory behavior, a trap to scam unsuspecting customers.
If you notice, they always give the same canned responses to every similar review on Google, claiming it’s the customer’s responsibility to check before signing the contract, blah blah blah. A convenient way to mask the fact that they’re scammers!
My advice to everyone: do not trust this company! It’s a criminal operation that preys on people’s good faith. If you don’t want to end up with an outrageous bill and a nightmarish experience, choose anyone else.
Avoid them like the plague! STAY FAR AWAY!
