Booked my car was not what I expected and the car was so dirty and we had to go and clean the car, the pressure they put us on when we picked up the car for insurance I can not put it in words. Also the amount of money I had to pay was tripled what the online search showed, even with insurance. When I asked they just pointing on a "broker" Please please please do not book with them I had to wait over an hour at pick up because they are so understaffed.

I booked car in your company in Palermo,I arrived from Rome, then your office manager sent me a shuttle and picked us up from airport. All that time I had communication with your manager on whatsapp. On pickup location they told me that i am in black list without any explanation, wich is so illogical because i have never been in Italy before, this is my first trip. I prepared all documents for this trip to rent car, i had all required documents, credit card, international driving licence, etc, they didn't have any reason but black list. This is Racism, you just don't rent car some nations? what the hell policy is this. I paid, i lost a lot of time, nervous, and you guys just destroyed my vacation.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend this car hire company. We booked a car in Catania airport through DiscoverCars. The initial collection process was very slow but we eventually took possession of a nice SUV. It was when we returned it, however, that we found out what type of company we were dealing with. The check in guy barked ‘WAIT’ to me when I dropped into his hut in the parking area. He proceeded to closely inspect the car, which I had no problem with. He then announced he had discovered ‘damage’, which was in fact a 30 mm scratch which would in all likelihood disappear after the car wash. He demanded to know if I had photos, but I told him the mark was too small to be noticed even if we had any. We collected the car late in the evening so it was dark. I was instructed to go into the hut and fill out a Claim Form/Damage Event. We were billed €328 for this slight mark, all of which took 2 hours to complete. I really don’t know what we would have done if we were catching a flight. All very callous and left a very sour taste. I did take out insurance with DiscoverCars so it will be interesting to see how they deal with my claim. We will not let one miserable company spoil what was a great week in beautiful Sicily.

Thanks Galdieri Rent Fiumicino, Emanuela helped us from Malta to have the best service and she guided us to the start of our holiday. The van 9 seater Ford Torneo, was excellent and new. I really enjoyed driving this vehicle. Galdieri Rent Fiumicino made our holiday a great experience with this ford Torneo they gave us. Thanks, Alla prossima.

Wow, if I could leave 0 stars I would. What an absolute joke of a company. We have just dropped the car of off, 3 HOURS EARLIER than we had paid for and once we arrived we were told hurry up, hurry up, my partner explained to the woman (term used loosely) that we had paid for another 3 hours and I was using the back seat to change into clothes for my flight.
This person then proceeds to approach the car and
STARE at me through the window. I asked her " is this a joke, give me some privacy" she just ignored me then after 2/3 minutes she takes the keys from my partner, and proceeds to get in the front seat of the car
760. I asked her what she was doing and
she just ignored me and stayed in the car taking photos of petrol gage etc. I got out of the car and went straight over to the office and staff just look right through you as if you are not there for the 1st ten minutes. Then the attitude that you are met with once I explained the situation, WOW.
I explained the situation and they are just so casual, their answer was "I'm sorry but, maybe she was in a rush, the garage is only small" I said do You have a complaints process or HR, "no just go on the website"
Not to mention the fact that they don't mention until you have paid for the rental that there is a
£1200 security deposit to be paid on a credit card, or you can pay a "waiver fee" of £131 and £100 deposit.
Wish l'd of set it on fire and sent it over Amalfi cliffs, with the little short back and sides headed cow in it

unfortunate experience. Once in the office they are forced to pay an additional insurance cost, practically doubling the cost of the rental. Never trust this company and choose any other that has a presence in the rent a car office at the airport itself since they have the same cost and much better quality of service. I repeat, never trust this company.

Try to avoid this car rental they i rant a car from them the 2nd of july and gave them back there car with a full tank untill now neither my bank or the monetical center have recieved my 100 euros ... i know it may seem a less of an ammount but it still money and i want it back caus as i was honest with them and i did not break the car ( since they obliged me to take insurance of 340 euros or so ) i want my right back ... so they are trash unfortunatly to say no one answers me after 3 contacts by messages on watsup.

Two stars because the car was pretty good. Apart from that I felt like I was being exploited for extra money throughout. Had to pay 113 Euros to take the car because I did not have a credit card to take deposit guarantee. I wanted them to use my debit card which had enough money but they would not accept it so I had to buy their excess waiver insurance. When I dropped the car off they did not like the sand on the floor. I explained that we had just come from the beach but I was made to drive to a garage and vacuum it. On return they said all was fine and my deposit would be returned. They then charged me 53 Euros to add seven litres of fuel.

Thank you for your explanation. It does say credit card but since when did a debit card with the money available not suffice? This is what I have done many times before. That is what was not clear and for me is just a way to make the customer pay more. I nearly declined to pay but we had travelled a long way and had family members depending on us getting a car.
With regard to the fuel, again you have missed my point. It was full but must have dropped a bit between the fuel station and the drive to vaccum the sand - which was stupid in itself. No one said anything about the fuel and we were told Ll was well. Why didn't they say they were not happy with the fuel like they did the sand? I could have paid 15 Euros to top it up and avoid being charged a further 53 Euros. This is my point, stealth charges - of course I will be more careful next time but it will not be with Galdierirent unless I am reimbursed.

SCAM!!!
We didn't make our timeslot and this company decided to rent out the cars we booked without communicating the terms beforhand. Because of this we ended up stuck at the airport.
The contact person was very rude and offered only a partial refund after an hour of talking.
They make money of people with bad luck. This is a terrible place to rent a car.

We had a terrible experience with Galdieri Rent. Despite multiple attempts to resolve our concerns, we never received any proper documentation or confirmation that the repairs they charged us for (almost 800€) actually took place. The charges for tire replacements were significantly inflated, and we were provided no proof or receipts from the body shop or mechanic to justify these costs. Additionally, they charged us for fuel despite driving minimal distance, and they were unhelpful and dismissive when we questioned the charges. Worst of all, they took money from the deposit without proper justification and never responded to our follow-up inquiries. Extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and customer service. Seems like a shady business. I would not recommend renting from this company.

I had a good overall experience with Galdieri Rent. It was easy to follow the instructions and find the shuttle at the airport (waited for 15 min).
We rented a hybrid mini and got a Renault twingo. It was a new car with 7000km. We really liked It.
The agent tried to sell a new insurance (i think all rent agencies do). I did not like the approach. They made me sign a document to get the car that had the information of complete full tank. They did no show any details about the car, just gave the keys and told me to go.
For my surprise, when i got the car, the tank was not full. So I took the photo and sent to their whatsapp to register it.
When I received the car it had 5/6 Levels of fuel (see photo), So when i got back, I left the car with also 5/6 Levels and the agent agreed it.
They charged me 52 euros for refueling and they refunded me 3 weeks later for the wrong charge.
My advice is to read all reviews here and google to see all the possible situations they might try to get more money.
I would still rent again from them, the price was good and the car brand new.

Galdierirent are one of the many cheap car rental companies that have popped up around Naples Airport in recent years - as reluctant as I am to use them, they do offer great value and these guys seem to be slightly better than a few others (and at least don't plaster the car with stickers like the truly awful Surprice/AutOne). Similar to the others, they will push hard on insurance, but as long as you have everything in order - UK drivers pay particular attention to your International Driving Permit - and take video/photos before setting off, it's pretty plain sailing.
My biggest bugbear however is with the size of the car we received. I had booked a 'large car' through DoYouItaly.com - in the Galdierirent office I was handed the documents to say it was getting a Skoda Fabia 1.0. Under no definition could this be described a large car - if it is, what are they defining a small?! Whan I challenged this, the friendly enough guy who served me said this is what we were allocated based on our booking (all the while careful to avoid saying the word 'large'), so it's hard to know whether this was an issue with Galdierirent or DoYouItaly.com, but beware when booking!

Me and my boyfriend ended up paying 4x the originally agreed amount, because of “problems with our card” - which resulted in us having to pay 4x more than what was originally agreed, because they needed to “upgrade our package”.
Don’t ever buy from Galdieri rent!

Just read the 1 star reviews here and see how it's a common "trick" to make the customers pay way, way more than what was agreed upon.
They didn't accept our card, so we had to pay full insurance - even though we already had full insurance - making the price we originally should pay Galdierirent go from €150 (as agreed) to €550 (their new price on the spot).
Don't ever book from this company.

We suffered a flat tire due to road conditions, causing serious damage to both right side tires and rims. When we called road assistance and selected the English-speaking option the operator refused to speak English, despite clearly understanding us. We were promised a quick callback, but it took almost four hours to hear back. 4 hours!
During this frustrating wait, I contacted the Fiumicino airport staff, who were helpful and responsive in English. They advised us to call the same road assistance number that continued to ignore our numerous calls, refused to speak English, and even hung up on us once. We spoke to three different people, all of whom could speak English but chose not to help.
By the time the vehicle was towed, local repair centers had already closed, and we had to arrange alternative transportation to our accommodation. With the help of Fiumicino staff the car was finally repaired the next day and we returned an hour taxi drive back to collect it. Galdieri promised to reimburse the taxi trips back and forth, but the money is nowhere to be seen.
While the Fiumicino staff were helpful, the road assistance service which Galdierirent advertises as their own service was utterly disappointing. The lack of support and refusal to communicate in an emergency situation was and is just unacceptable.
I can't recommend the company.

This review will remain 1 star review as long as I am reimbursed, no matter what the company says in their response. No reimbursement got after 2,5months waiting nor answers to multiple emails sent.

They are scam artists. Our flight was delayed and their shuttle took for ever to arrive so we were over an hour late. Because we were late, the cars we had already payed for were “gone” and had none left but if I paid an extra couple hundred euros, they magically had a car.

As expected, cheap rental is almost a scam.
Due to the card be a debit card and not having the PHYSICAL credit card, needed to pay extra insurance (which the card already had) and with that the rental price became 4 times more expensive.
Be aware, they are not friendly.
Then, after returning the car, they even charged for a "damage" that was already there and was not visible on my photos. Probably charge this damage from every client! Make sure you have 4K photos from every part of the car!
