Would never step into another game…

Would never step into another game store as long as I live.
Bought a washing machine from Game Shelly Beach which when delivered was faulty.
To cut a long story short, 3 weeks of backwards and forwards, no working machine, getting pushed from pillar to post with no positive outcome and promises that were not kept by both Game and the manufacturers.

Every call made I got 'sorry for the inconvenience' quiet honestly I dont think none of them care!
One Game staff member requested I contact the manufacurers which I did, but in hindsight, who goes to Game to buy a washing machine and then gets told to deal with the manufacturer, Game should deal with them. This is what should have happened. This would have been what you call 'CUSTOMER SERVICE'
Very angry that I had to deal with incompetent staff at both Game and the manufacturers.
They say they will return calls and dont bother including the manager at this Game branch.
A horrendous, awful experience.

However credit must be given to Mondli from Game who I dealt with initially, he was amazing, his customer service was top notch and always so professional with a SMILE. Thank you Mondli.

Horrible service.

I bought a Heater last week Wednesday, 29 April 2026 and opted to collect as I needed it immediately. They said because it was already after 11:00, it will be ready for collection the next day.

The next day when it was time for me to collect, I get an email saying; "Great news! your order is scheduled to be delivered on Saturday 2 May 2026.

I opted for collection because I didn't want to wait, no one called me to inform me of the changes, they just decided to change my order. Then when Saturday, 2 May came. They still didn't deliver.

This is the worst experience, best believe I will never set foot in the store again. The thing that makes me most upset is how they didn't bother to speak to me before changing my order and lying about sending it to me.

Terrible Service and Zero Communication

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this online game store. My order was delayed with no communication, customer service was unresponsive, and when I finally got a reply, it was unhelpful. Definitely not worth the frustration—won’t be buying from here again.

I bought a fridge on the 31 of March 2026, today is 14 April 2026 I never received my parcel. I call them everyday to follow up what going on, the response is “you will get your parcel tomorrow” even today they don’t show up
I’m sick and tired of them
Poor customer service is what they deserve a trophy for.

Baught a hisense 14 kg washing mashine…

Baught a hisense 14 kg washing mashine at game wonder park on sunday 29 march. Mashine was noisy and drainage did not work. Took it back, paid the difference, and got a defy 14kg on monday. Today i am home. Wanted to wash, just to find a drainage problem and a noisy pump. Pipe is correct hight, checked it multiple hights as specified (650mm-1000mm)
Al filters and pipes clean and the pump is noisy. Did all the trouble shoot according to the user manual.

2 faulty mashines in 6 days. They will see me on sunday for a refund. For me it seems like, because some game shops is closing, they just want to get rid of the faulty stuff

Game Setsing Mall in Phuthaditjhaba is…

Game Setsing Mall in Phuthaditjhaba is the worst shop I have ever been to. Customer service is very poor and the staff just can't help. This shop is everytime out of stock on most of the things and they refer Customers to Bethlehem.... If they refer customers elsewhere, why can't they close it down so that we as customers just go straight to Bethlehem since this one doesn't serve a purpose.

Very Disappointed

Disappointed with order accuracy. Ordered 6 x 700 ml tomato sauce, but received only 1 item. The product description was clear, and I'm unhappy with the mistake. I contacted Game, and the consultant was so rude, claimin,g "Where have I seen 6x700ml tomato sauce at that price?" - apparently, it was their mistake

My boyfriend purchased a laptop last…

My boyfriend purchased a laptop last month, it gave problems like taking long to switch on etc, he then contacted game an told them about the condition and he said he wanted a refund. The courier was supposed to fetch it the courier came about a week and a half later, but he decided the same day to take it to a other branch because they said he can't return it the courier must fetch it. This was from the Tygerberg beach and the other branch said that they were suppose to take it no matter what. He is still waiting on a refund and took it back the Friday. When will he get it because he urgently needs the money and the other branch said they can't get through to Tygerberg very unprofessional. Disappointed in the bad service.

Worst customer service from Game

I purchased a fridge online on 16 December. Canceled the order on 17 December but this was never escalated and the fridge was delivered on 18 December. To date I have had no update on when the item will be collected and no feedback provided as to when I will receive the refund. I have been in contact with the customer service team daily without any resolution or any feedback. Game has no customer service at all as it seems I am the one who has to follow up daily. Spoke to a team leader but yet again no feedback or even an acknowledgement of receipt of emails sent. I will never make an online purchase from them again this is the worst service received by far.

Game online is a waste of time

Ordered 3 items. The next day 2 where cancelled by them. On the 24th my daughter's bike came in and was bent by the front fork.called in the lady was pleasant and said there are a few stores out of my region that had stock. But since it's out of region, a manager must give the go ahead for some reason, and I wanted a replacement, but not a refund.
Manager called . Repeated the same things, they rather send a courier to my house, collect it and send it back to the stores than to send the courier to the store that has it and send it to me , asked for the same pics again and kept on evading the questions I asked and was so irritating in the way he spoke , and eventually he cut the call as I was really frustrated with him. Tried WhatsApp number, they took a whole day to reply. Called in an requested a refund. Will not be doing online with them Again. Why advertise stock when there isnt, and why isn't anyone doing quality control on stock that's sent to clients. No wonder they a failing. Used to be that we got all our appliances from them. They used to be good. It's a shame

Ordered from the online store. The order was then split into two separate deliveries. The first delivery went fine and everything was delivered as promised. The second delivery however only one of the two tv’s that I ordered was delivered. When I phoned to follow up I just get told sorry for the inconvenience and they cannot reach the warehouse. The order was supposedly shipped twice after that but still nothing. How pathetic must it be that a company cannot even reach their own warehouse to simply reship and order that they messed up the first time!?

Frustrated with lies from Game

Ordered a product online and paid only to be told that there is no stock. Called the online customer service and they say that there is stock like the internet says. However the pavilion store picked up the order and messed up. Now that they say no stock, I must wait 5 to 8 working days for my refund.

Worst client service

Hi, I would like to inform you about the terrible service we've got! Bought a brand new washing machine and it broke down after 5 months of having it and they took 1 month and 7 days to return my washing machine and I had to go and buy another one because I can't go a month without doing laundry! Finally when i recieved my "fixed" washing machine today the thing was in the worst condition ever! Can't believe they can fix it and return it in that condition from brand new to messed up! After being a client for so long that just shows your service and I would never buy anything from you guys again! im so disgusted and in disbelief! Washing machine came back full of scratches, paint, and wasn't put back properly

Delayed Refund with NO resolution

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Game Online. My order was cancelled without any prior notification, even though their own terms and conditions say otherwise. To make matters worse, the refund of R2,299 — which they confirmed was processed on 01 December — has still not reflected in my account, well beyond the stated 3–5 day turnaround time.

I’ve had to chase them repeatedly for an update. Their WhatsApp support told me I’d be connected to an agent, but no one ever responded. I also called on Saturday; the agent was polite and tried to help, but nothing has been resolved.

If the refund isn’t in my account by EOD 09 December 2025, I’ll be escalating the issue to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO).

This level of service is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Game should stick to physical stores and not provide online ordering service.

Terrible terrible and full of misinformation. I ordered a washing machine, was told of a delivery date, there was a delay, I reached out to the WhatsApp chat line and was told the order will be delivered today, however the tracking information does not state that. Called them and was told no, it will be delivered tomorrow. Horrible service and I don't know why I didn't order on Takealot. Do better please!

Bad customer service and invading my phone privacy

Casher and Supervisor treated us like thiefs as they insisted that they won't up with our goods that we have paid for via PJN app unless I go in the app and they can verify if Im the correct user. I showed the my phone screen to revil the successful purchase recipt and I made a screen shot. Still they threatened that they will not process my purchase unless I go in the app while they watching to verify my identity. We feld like thiefs inside the shop and they caused a sceen. I want this to be dealt with and management should teach thier stuff not to invade customer's personal information.
