I’ve made several swaps through this site now and it’s saved me a fortune in games. Honestly cannot fault it.

As much as the group and app has a very successful trading rate. I still think with the app it’s too easy to just make a fake email and add a fake picture and arrange a swap to an address that’s not theirs. When I joined not long ago all I did was enter my email and that was it. There doesn’t seem to be any sort of checks or security in place to protect people from being robbed, and the bigger it gets the easier it is for people to catch wind of this. Sadly. I guess that’s the risk of running a group purely on trust which is great when it’s small but when it has say 5000 members then it potentially becomes an issue.

Great concept and execution. Saved loads of money with GSSUK. Highly recommended.

Honestly one of the best groups and apps I've ever been on! Personally due to having very minimal money as I'm a student and my partner is disabled I cannot afford to buy switch games I've been so tempted to try but thanks to this group I've been able to swap many games I've finished a few times over for games I've always wanted to try! Thank you so much for making this app and group and for all the hard work you've put into it 😊❤

Although the whole trading ethos is a good idea. I didn’t really find many people swapping a big variety of games. Everyone seemed to be after the same small handful of stuff like animal crossing. If you went Mario games I guess it’s well aimed at that but if you’re into obscure RPGs or limited run games you may struggle to find swaps regularly.

Amazing idea and fantastic website and Facebook group. Has really gathered a fantastic community of people swapping games. It's so easy to do and has saved us a fortune. There's something on there for everyone. Highly recommend 😀

Genius idea! If you’re looking to save a good bit of cash definitely go with this group/website! Never done anything like this before so I was weary. I agreed a swap with a trusted trader and sent my game over. When the trader has received my game he sent over his game and I received it the following day☺️ I had one teeny tiny issue which Daryl (Admin) sorted out with in an hour or two! Will definitely use again!

The app is buggy as hell. Person I swapped with could not verify they received their game for me to do a second swap because it wouldn’t work for them and I couldn’t upload many messages to them when arranging them swap due to the bugs on the app.
Also these new competitions are a scam. 50p a ticket and 200 tickets for a £40 game. Thats a 1 in 200 chance to win. That’s also £100 in total from ticket sales. 10% is for charity which is fair enough but that’s still only £10 and £3 roughly is postage so where does the other £40 odd go??? Not to charity like it should be. Clearly lining their pockets again like they were when they used to do the competitions and stole everyone’s money then too!!! Made up some excuse about PayPal and took all the winnings from that as well. Would stay well clear. Guys a scammer and no I’m not an ex member who tried to scam anyone. I’m still a current member who has done successful swaps before the app went live, if you don’t know what I’m talking about them feel free to check your Facebook page reviews there’s plenty of people on their that mention how you scammed them and kept their money from your last competitions.

That’s wierd that you say you refunded everyone because everyone else says differently.

“paid £6 for a "raffle ticket" which then they said got cancelled due to Facebook closing the page down, so where did everyone's £6 go? apparently they had paypal charges and their account closed due to it, so I phoned PayPal myself and questioned whether this is something they do and I was told no, they've never done anything like that before and they would have no reason to do that due to the fact that everything was paid via friends and family. so where is mine and everyone else's £6?? are you that desperate for money that you have to steal....?”

“Man I had like 30 quid on the oculus raffle and when I questioned he say fab shut the page and PayPal shut his account within an hour of each other and PayPal won’t refund the money. He said he is on universal credit so can’t pay people out and then said as compensation we would get free lifetime membership of the new app but now saying everyone gets it who is a member now“

Very weird how you’re claiming you refunded people then Isn’t it?? So I guess you’re a liar and a scammer too??? 😉

Then there’s the person who never got their game from a swap because it was sent to your house by mistake and you lost it in your bedroom and gave them a shoddy excuse about needing to clean your room weeks and weeks later. Probably because you still live with your mummy. Lol

Don’t worry it’s there for everyone to see. The fact you have got so defensive and shown aggression towards me in your replies just shows what kind of person and scammer you really are.

You don’t pay tax and commission from raffles bud. Not unless you’re trying to pocket some of the money from the tickets. Which is clearly what you did with the PayPal raffles before they caught wind and shut your account down for breaking their terms and conditions of no raffles. Which is probably why you’re now using an actual raffle company which are taking a huge cut of the profits for a £40 game.

It’s pretty obvious you are taking money of people to fund your lifestyle. That’s why you used crowdfunding to improve your app? Oh yer how did that work out for you? Probably sat at home on universal credit??? Sad little man.

Let’s not forget to mention how you had to replace your whole admin team from the original people who you got onboard when you created the group because they made their own swapping group and you banned them all out of jealousy or competition. Yes this happened. I know them all. Yes they all speak the truth & you banned them all. So who’s the jealous one?? All you do is ban people who don’t share your views, goals or opinions! Well ones you catch anyway 😉

As for not knowing how businesses work. I have my own business pal. It paid for my first house. I’m now saving for my second. Unlike you I have thousands of 5 star reviews not 600. So jokes on you. I also know wether you have 600 or 60,000 it only takes a couple of bad reviews and things to happen to jeopardise people’s opinions and trust in a company or business model. So you keep running your mouth off about your good reviews. It’s quite obvious you have plenty of people that feel otherwise. You just banned them so they can’t have their say. Well I’m still a member so guess you missed a trick or 2 with your app didn’t you?

Swap shop is amazing!
I've traded nearly 20 games through game swap shop and have had nothing but a breeze of an experience.
Paying postage to get a game you want while sending someone a game they want has saved me so much money.
Thanks to Darryl for putting this altogether, can't give you enough respect for all you've done for the gaming community.

Brilliant support from the owner, I had a small issue with the Web app not displaying my messages to other users and after receiving several promt replies to my emails the issue was able to be fixed the same day.

Awesome idea and execution! With switch games holding their price and scalpers like CEX hammering people on trade ins Game Swap Shop has filled a gap that gamers really needed. Easy to list, browse and trade games, safe and secure as backed by a FB group so generally you already know the person you are trading with. I can’t even think how much money this little app has saved me over the time I’ve used it. Highly recommended service

Has saved me a fortune. Allows me to trade on games I've completed or have tried but not for me. Great community and lovely people from the admin team to the traders. Top service.. Here is to many more successful trades.

Stumbled across this his group whilst it was young. When I finished my switch games it was simple enough to trade with another member for a game you want - all for the price of postage.

Great group, Friendly members and lots of people to swap with.

I have been using Game Swap Shop since it was justa Facebook page. I have saved a decent amount of money and traded with many like minded people. Everyone has been so kind and trusting. If you haven't joined, what are you you waiting for.

Great community, have done multiple trades and saved a lot of money and effort compared to trading in or selling on eBay.

I have been using this service for a while now and have never had any problems! I have been able to play games that I wouldn’t usually be able to afford, this service makes it easy, for the price of postage you can swap your titles for something different, when you have finished with your swap you can always swap again! I have saved hundreds by using this easy and friendly service, everyone is lovely and everything is run to perfection! This is the way forward for all gamers!

Great place to swap used games without a middle man. It's free, has a well thought out trust system and moderators that are always on the ball. Only encountered friendly people there. Highly recommended
