Poor Product, Poor Customer Service

I've been trying to contact this company for a month now, we purchased a furniture cover for our patio furniture and within just over a year the cover as degraded so badly it is paper thin and tears regularly. We have provided photos to the company and used their customer contact form with follow up emails but as yet I have not heard anything. The cover looked great when it first arrived but these do not last, which given the cost of the covers is not acceptable.

Appalling customer service

Incorrect order arrived (their mistake). The return process was painful. They refused to send the correct item until receipt of the incorrect one. Finally offered a refund a week later. 8 days on from the refund offer and 20 days after the original order was placed and still no refund! Both customer services representatives one of whom claimed to be a manager need training in common courtesy for example apologising when their company have got things wrong. Appalling customer services!

Horrendous customer service experience…

Horrendous customer service experience so far dealing with Gemma. May I suggest you actually take the time to read customers' emails, and answer their questions rather than fobbing them off with generic, unhelpful and ignorant responses.
I ordered 2 covers, and immediately asked to cancel one of the orders, I was advised that the order cancellation request had been received and had been passed on. Never received a refund for it so chased it up. I was told I did recieved the order, even though I very clearly stated 5 times in various emails I had never received the cover and had asked for it to be cancelled. So I have now been charged for an item I have never recieved. Most of my questions and comments in the emails were ignored and the company is now in breach of the consumers right act. Will be taking it further.

Ignored after 2 emails

Terrible customer service. I ordered a rattan furniture cover from Garden Furniture Covers which I wanted to return. After 2 emails 'Jenny' stopped responding altogether. I wish I'd read the reviews on here before I made the purchase.

Shocking service & product

Shocking service. They supposedly sell high quality furniture covers. We went for the deluxe range to make sure. Within 9 months the covers faded and now have ripped (very easily). I complained and was told they were out of warranty ... tough basically!

Terrible customer service and poor communication

Asked to cancel an order before it was dispatched. GardenFurnitureCovers.com initially denied the order cancellation. Then after accepting the cancellation, they sent the product anyway. Terrible customer service and poor communication.

£30 surcharge to deliver to Scotland - like there is some imaginary adversity that delivery drivers have to traverse as soon as they cross the border?! Completely unreasonable.

Avoid!

Avoid!! Was sent the incorrect item and they would not send the correct item until my return had been received and processed by them. Once a courier was booked in to collect the wrong item I received i asked if they would send the item I ordered as it was their error and I needed the cover asap due to the bad weather.

But no despite me explaining the situation several times they would not let me have the item I had correctly ordered and paid for until they receive the incorrect one back. I'm guessing this will take at least a week as its not being collected until Monday - 4 days after notifying them?

If it was my error then fair enough but it wasn't so I won't be ordering from them again.

As a side note this is my 2nd purchase from them after the 1st one fell apart after a year. This was the only company I could find that did the size I needed hence why I reordered. I'll only use this one in summer to protect the cushions and will use some cheap tarpaulin to protect the furniture in winter as they don't last long otherwise.

If your looking though the ikea waterproof cover is excellent and lasts years (have it on the patio table) - its just not in the size I need for the rattan furniture.

Need to improve communications

Update: I have now received my order after 6 weeks (as opposed to the 24 hours they claim on their website). I stand by my initial concerns given the total lack of any email confirmation of my order and their website not allowing me to send an enquiry, but I can now clarify that this isn't a scam website. Just to note: my initial review was on the 17th of June and I received my order on the 26th. Whether my review prompted them to send the item, I don't know.

Product looks ok so far.

Original: I ordered an outdoor cover for a chair in May 2021. The money left my account but I received no order confirmation, no update on my order, and no product. When I tried to enquire about my order online, it said that my enquiry could not be sent.

This is a professional looking website and needs to be taken down.

Buyer beware !!

Buyer beware !!! Dont buy you garden furniture covers from here. We tried ours for winter and there not waterproof when it clearly states on there website they are. We Tried to get a refund as they might as well have been in the open rain. The company didn’t respond. So I went to PayPal only to be told that the covers were near enough as described. This is appalling. Even worse as I bought 2 so it cost me about £140 for a product that doesnt do the job. I will never buy from this company again.

Don't waste your money

Took delivery of a deluxe cover last March (2020) drawstring does not feed through easily and an eyelet came away almost immediately. Had a second cover supplied to me because of the issues and was then initially reasonably happy. Now after 8 month I can now see the material is very poor, with it tearing so easily - it is now possible to simply put your finger through the material if you are not ultra careful!

Don't waste your money product is not deluxe and not fit for purpose.

Completely the wrong items delivered

Easy to order and fast delivery - however sent completely the wrong products and no resemblance to what I had actually ordered. On contacting customer service the only route to get my products is after they have collected the wrong items - even though this was their error in the first instance. The website info states that these products are waterproof but the label on the product says 'weather resistant'. Will need to see how that plays out once I eventually get the correct products. They were quick to take my money of course!!

Disappointing product quality and customer service

I bought an expensive deluxe waterproof cover for a table and chairs. The delivery was overdue but the product initially did the job.

Over 12 months, the cover has become discoloured and the PVC backing has worn away in patches, allowing water to leak through and damage my furniture.

I was initially told that it was condensation and was advised to leave the drawstring unfastened. However, following heavy rain, it was clear that water was leaking through the patches.

I was then told that my warranty had expired (by less than a month), and that nothing could be done regarding a replacement / refund.

The customer service number is a frustrating loop of automated messages and they haven't bothered to respond to two follow-up emails enquiring about the possibility of store credit.

Most of their positive reviews are posted shortly after delivery, and won't necessarily reflect the longevity of the product or the quality of after sales care.

I certainly won't be using their services again.

The second time to use…

The second time to use Gardenfurniturecovers. The same quality product and service. Delivered as described online. If these 2 covers are as good as the previous one I'll be very happy. No reservation in using the company.

Poor quality and awful customer service

As other reviewers have already stated, dreadful customer service. Ordered a cover that disintegrated after 12 months (our previous cover lasted 15 years and was still intact, we only replaced it as it was grubby). When I sent the first email, politely pointing out that the quality was not of the expected standard, they stated it was outside warranty and that they would not be doing anything. I sent another email reminding them of their responsibilities under EU law, that stated that they were responsible up to 2 years after purchase, regardless of the terms of their warranty, and they sent an identical email back in response. Would not recommend.

Poor customer services

Purchased a set of covers for the garden furniture and the cushion covers that are listed winter & waterproof leaked water in the first week. Tried to ring but only rang twice and cut me off. Sent email and got response asking for photo of damage. I explained that there was no visable damage but no reply. Sent reminder and again asked for photos. Sent photos showing no damage. Been over a week now with no reply. Don’t use this company there customer service is horrendous.
