Great service
Can I just say thank you for your prompt arrangement of the flushing of our system last Friday.
Also can we say how wonderful Liam was when he came. He was courteous, considerate and went to great lengths to complete what was not a straight forward job. He did it with care and humour and was a delight to have around. He took great care of the work he had to do and cleared up beautifully. He is a credit to the firm.
We greatly appreciated the ease of arranging the service with you and the speed with which it was all completed.
Won’t use again
A very delayed review, but worth leaving. Gas Care installed our boiler 10 years ago (sept 2015) and it’s just blown up. That’s fine these things don’t always last. However when the new installer has turned up the drain isn’t anywhere near far enough away from the house. It’s like 30cm when it should be more than a meter, he says in the last 10 years the regs haven’t ever allowed it to be 30cm!
At the time we weren’t happy with the installer making a complaint at the time. Hence we haven’t used them for servicing or the next installation!
My father in law also had gas care install his boiler in 2015 and the next engineer to service it said the flu wasn’t long enough and had to extend it.
Personally I don’t think it’s taking risks with gas safe and regulations and therefore I won’t be using them again!
As an aside they think the reason (but can never prove) that the heat exchanger went because the drain was blocked! 10 years isn’t a long time for a boiler!
To note this review could only be left 10+ years on and you would never know within a year or two!
Update: GasCare will note that after my installation I had contacted them, furthermore this was the suspicion of both homeserve (who attended the breakdown) and our installer. The 10 year warranty is true now but at the time of the installation it was 7, as they will know! As I say my father in law who recommended gascare to me also found things not installed to regulation following a service with a different supplier! Just for completeness we have had the boiler serviced every year, and both homeserve and our installer were surprised the boiler went after just 10 years! I draw any readers attention to the fact they did not say in their reply that 30cm from the property was acceptable!!! Very very poor service

Highly recommended, as usual!
I asked Gascare ( who we use to service our boiler) if they could replace a broken kitchen tap unit. They were able to arrange that within two days, offering to bring 3 units to choose from . I didn't get the young lad's name, but he offered requested advice, left us to choose, and then fitted the tap in a very short time. Very pleased, although it's what we've come to expect of Gascare and all of their competent staff, including the helpful receptionists on the 'phone.
A first rate company
I have used Gascare for many years for routine servicing, and for a couple of emergency repairs and the service has been such that they were my first choice when it came to a replacing our old back boiler with a more up-to-date version.
Every stage of the project has been superbly executed. The initial visit from, and conversations with, Kevin which identified the most appropriate boiler. The timely morning delivery of the boiler and other materials by a very pleasant and efficient young man, in time for the installation. As for the work itself – Andy was brilliant. Conscientious, helpful and clearly highly skilled with great attention to detail, even down to the way the external condensate pipe was routed and insulated.
Our home environment has been transformed – unlimited hot water and even the heating is circulating properly now.
I am very glad I opted for Gascare once again. It could be argued that it might have been possible to obtain a lower quote, but I can’t believe I would have been as pleased with the end result. I have always recommended Gascare to friends looking for services, and will continue to tell anyone who will listen what an impressive company they are!

I’ve been with Gascare for 28 years and have nothing but praise. I came home from holiday in the evening to a cold house and a boiler not working. Rang next morning and had an engineer by the afternoon. 2 days in and a new boiler fitted and working. Couldn’t wish for better

Disappointed
My elderly mother has used Gas Care for 14 years to install, service and repair. Boiler was leaking and Gas Care attended for 50 mins on a cold and wet Friday evening. Nothing they could do as leak coming from part they fitted 18 months ago for £600 but now out of warranty. Would not accept call out charge of £132 by card from me over phone as office closed so made her pay cash, no receipt given. I called to complain and told engineer did not follow correct procedure! Receipt now sent to me. Lack of common sense and compassion shown when dealing with worried and anxious elderly people who have no heating or hot water. A new boiler has since been installed by another company who pulled out all the stops to help.

Boiler Problems
We had our boiler serviced at end of september. We used it for the 1st time beginning of Nov. The heating and hot water did not turn on using the timer control it has to be switched on manually. I phoned gascare to come back and look at it as they had only just given the boiler a clean bill of health. They are going to charge £88 for half a hour just to look. I feel this is very poor service considering the circumstances. Now when everything cost so much they could have met us half way. Will never use this firm again and would never recommend them.

Gascare poor recommendation
Back in 2017, our old boiler died. We chose Gascare to supply and install a new Worcester combi-boiler. When their guy turned up to check dimensions, we asked him whether he would recommend a water filter, as we had one in our previous house. His reply was no, this is not needed.
Earlier in February this year, and after the boiler had been serviced every year by Gascare since 2017, it stopped delivering hot water. We called Gascare; and they identified a fault with the boiler and told us we should call Worcester in, which we did.
The Worcester guy came and took the boiler apart. Both heat exchangers were blocked by debris from the hot water circuit and had to be replaced. HE told us that really a water filter should have been installed in 2017. Luckily for us, this was covered under Worcester's warranty - but only because it was their first visit with us. The Worcester technician also found out that the Gascare installed exhaust was less than 300 mm from the roof fascias, which is not legal, and therefore had to condemn the boiler.
At that point, we called Gascare back. They sent a technician who offered to seal the fascias with silicon sealant (a 10 min job). We requested that since the damage to the boiler was a direct consequence of their poor recommendation from the installation, they should install the filter and perform a flush at their own cost. Their reply was a quote for £740, which corresponds to a £60 discount on the real value of £800. Needless to say we were not happy with that offer, but they refused to do anything else.
It is shocking to see this sort of practice. As customers with very little knowledge of such systems, we trust the supplier's expertise, and then they don't accept the consequences of their actions when this turns out to be wrong. This sort of behavious drives everyone's prices up because for some reason they wouldn't recommend the installation of an item we would have paid for.
We will not deal with Gascare anymore, and recommend everyone else to stay away as well.
Gascare installed my gas central…
Gascare installed my gas central heating system 10+ years ago and supplied annual servicing since then. Yesterday a failure occurred which was reported and repaired within 3 hours. I could not ask for a quicker response.
2 years on…
2 years ago gas care replaced 2 old boilers. 1 runnung heating and the other for hot water. They combined our old system into 1 simple system with very little disruption. 2 years on and have just had latest service. All very professional and we're very happy with the service and aftercare we recieved.
