Language

No response no reimbursement

We booked a flight with them. The flight got cancelled and we got the confirmation from the airline that they would fully reimburse us, however it needs to be done through Gate1. It is impossible to contact gate1. There is no phonenumber which can be used and they have not responded to one of our contact forms. We see ourselves forced to take up legal steps

TERRIBLE!

TERRIBLE!
I booked a flight and paid it. My credit card was debited of the total amount.
I received the confirmation email, but I was not able to download the plane ticket.
The NEXT day, I received an email saying that my reservation is cancelled and that I will receive a refund.
Not a single line of explanation.
I was counting on this plane ticket reservation and I have already booked and paid the hotel (hopefully on another website!).
Therefore, I had to rush and buy a ticket directly from the airline. I had no problem to buy it, so nothing can justify that Gate1 has cancel my ticket.
I am still waiting for the refund... and so I have to deal with a debit of 1'000.00 on my credit card for this cancelled ticket.
I am thinking about to give the case to my lawyer friend.

Just stay away

Just stay away! I made a typo in my last name (one letter) and within one day you can change anything in your ticket - even cancel it. So i tried to reach out to them.
I couldn’t find them to ask them to correct the typo. The only way to contact them is a form in the website which i did and they replied to me after 8 days!!! First and last time i bought a ticket from them.

Bought a flight......never flew.....

Bought a flight......never received the flight comfirmation. I had to write them just for them to tell me they never got confirmation from the airline and canceled my flight.....all that less than 24h before the departure. They did refund me in a matter of days.

Total scam. Customer service inexcusable

I bought a ticket. Asked a question about my flight. Never got an answer. Tried again and again; never got any answer.
3weeks before my flight I got a message: “your flights has been cancelled. We will contact you in the next 6 weeks “. No details nothing. I never got a booking number or an electronic ticket from gate1, so even contacting directly the flight company, they did not know how to help me.
Never again.

Scammers and thieves II

Scammers and thieves. The airline paid my canceled flight back to Gate1 and Gate1 is keeping the money, in stead of refunding me (like the law prescribes).

I will go to court with this !

Disastrous customer service

Desperately trying to get an answer from the customer service after Cathay Pacific announced a waive on cancellation and refund charges because of the coronavirus, radio silence from gate1.
I understand that they are probably receiving a lot of requests but as a travel agency you have to be able to inform your clients on what they can/can't do and align on what the airlines are saying.

Last time I'm booking through them. It's easy to have good reviews when everything is simple but when things get complex, that's when you see if a company is serious or not. This one is terrible.

update: after FINALLY receiving an answer from Gate1, now they say they charge a fee to refund a ticket even though the airline doesn't take one and even though this is not a voluntary change but a cancellation due to a recognized health crisis... Just scandalous.

If baggage is included in your ticket or not, is always shown during the booking process on our website. Directly underneath the flight details in step 1 you see a little suitcase-symbol which is either green or grey and mentions "including luggage" or "excluding luggage"./Mona, Gate1.ch
