The service on arrival was really good starting at the bar,after sitting down at our chosen table the new menu was great lots to chose from my wife and me decided on chicken tikka it arrived promptly and was lovely.
We followed with deserts and they were very good as well will definitely be returning.

Don't use this Bank, pay no interest 1.2%, other bank 4%+and I can not get my money out for 3 years,

Shazia has been really helpful from the get go.
Although im yet to get an official approval for my mortgage, the whole experience has been great alhamdulillah. Im a first time buyer so my knowledge in understanding finance was limited but Shazia helped me through it and its been such an easy process so far. What i appreciated it was that i can pay off my mortgage earlier if needed (especially at no extra cost if less than 10% on a yearly basis). Gatehouse is shariah compliant which is what gives me peace of mind. However i would like to see where money is invested. I have been told its in halal businesses but transparency would be great.

Worst bank
The beneficiary account name cannot be verified when funding in. I even doubt if this is a scram.
I was able to access my account via phone, but not the web. Reason unknown.
Later I was required to complete authentication on web. Therefore I reset the password. Without a clue, all criteria are green-ticked, the reset failed.
Now authentication is not done, and accesses are denied.
My account is still not ready after 3 weeks of application.
I have had almost 10 accounts throughout my life, local and foreign, Gatehouse is the worst so far.

Fantastic service.
My son has just managed to get onto the first rung of the property ladder, thanks entirely to the marvellous Ash and his heroic team of mortgage advisors.
We have always tried to avoid interest and it really hasn't been easy. I think the hardest was watching my sons (both with straight A's in A'Level, in science/maths) not applying to university but looking for work and just being rejected by employers for months based on lack of experience. My eldest was finally offered a job in the NHS. He lived at home and saved every penny. Eventually he got onto a degree level apprenticeship with a guaranteed job at the end and Gatehouse agreed 'in principle' to grant him a mortgage. To cut a long story short, he found a house, put in an offer, then Gatehouse were reluctant to lend to an apprentice UNTIL Ash and his team took up the case and were able to negotiate a deal which is affordable for my son. He has now started looking for a spouse and I'm clearing rubbish out of his back yard.
I can't thank (or recommend) Gatehouse highly enough. By offering a sharia compliant mortgage which is affordable and akin to a 'normal' mortgage, they have given my son the most amazing opportunity to start his life as a home-owner and avoid the perils of renting (which I'm all too familiar with). A highly recommended bank from a very pleased customer. Thanks.

The gate house is the only bank offering Sharia`a compliant financing which a great support for families in the west . The process is thorough and well manageable. Shaz Essa , my adviser was very supportive during the whole process and she is well trained and knowledgeable in this regard.

Gate House Bank is The better alternative available to most sharia complaint mortgage. It covers 95% of the finance with your 5% deposit minimum. It makes it more affordable for the people who don’t have enough deposit for other banks in the market to get Sharia compliant mortgage for muslims.

Shaz Essa the advisor is quite knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She always stays on the top by responding to your queries promptly. She guides you properly through every single step and very good at communication. I had a quite good experience with her to submit my application.

I recently applied home purchase with Gatehouse Bank and my advisor Rana Faza who has been very supportive and extremely helpful. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the underwriting process as they took very long time to process my application and after approving my application on on Monday carrying out valuation on Wednesday which I paid over £518 and application admin fee £150 my application has been declined without any valid reason. I have lost £668 for nothing and I have provided all the documentation responded all inquiries from the underwriter and at the end all this was a waste of my money and time. I will never recommend anyone to apply with this bank for any products so stay away

Being first time buyers, me and my wife were really anxious going into the process. We didn't know what to expect, so the fear of the unknown was daunting.
