Don't buy GE

I currently have a GE refrigerator that I purchased less than a year ago, that already needs new parts. This is unacceptable. Also have window unit purchased a few months ago. It started having thermostat issues and, rather than refund the entirety of what I paid, they sent me a "voucher" for the purchase price only (leaving me out whatever taxes I paid). It's only good for 90 days and, no one has window units for sale this time of year. Will not buy GE products again. Very disappointed.

Terrible Service — Avoid Until They Fix It


Beautiful appliances, yes. They look premium and modern. But the service is absolutely terrible — slow, disorganized, and unreliable. Every time I’ve had a problem with a Monogram appliance, the service has been delayed and frustrating.

This time, my side-by-side refrigerator failed. It took three weeks for a technician to finally show up. I requested the repair directly through GE Monogram, and they handled the entire process — yet it was chaotic: appointments postponed indefinitely without notice, parts shipped twice incorrectly, and no coordination whatsoever.

Monogram clearly does not take customer service seriously. I’m writing this with full responsibility and the firm intention of warning others: do not buy Monogram products until the company fixes its service standards.

I am being generous giving 1 * this company is nothing short of utterly useless. How they are still operating is beyond me. It is impossible to get a response from them. Best thing that could happen is they are shut down. I ordered through wowcher paid for the goods and never received them. Despite months of trying to get my money back or the product I'm still fighting. I blame Wowcher as much as they don't respond either. HUGE BLACK MARK on them both !!!!!!!

I purchased the profile GE washer and dryer 2 in one las spring and 6 months later it’s out of service and their customer service isn’t doing anything. The machine is crap and their service is crap. I’ll never buy a GE appliance ever again not even a toaster it’s all crap.

Don’t buy ge profile washing machine

I bought a ge profile top loader washing machine 2 years ago and it exploded causing damage to my house and the machine lid flew off. The machine was crushed and plastic everywhere! Poor customer service as they sent a tech out who said I could throw the machine away. The customer service said since it was thrown out there’s nothing they can do. Their tech told me to thrown it away! Someone is going to get hurt with this machine. Please don’t buy a ge profile washing machine!!!

Stay away from GE/Monogram appliances.
We purchased a fridge and gas stove. The problems we had with the fridge are far too many to put down in words. End result we had to get a new one. Now the oven part of the stove stopped working! We thought by paying for some what top of the line appliances we would get what we paid for. GE/Monogram equals garbage.

Bought a surge protector

Bought a surge protector, made by GE, and I realize it is a small appliance BUT it comes with a limited lifetime warranty. It didn't even last 7 months and failed.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of GE small appliance department, effectively making it impossible to claim warranty. I originally bought the surge protector because I thought GE was still a good brand but after talking to the clueless employees ( Her name was Lucy and should be fired for her dismissive tactics).

I will never ever buy GE and will also advise others not too.

MANUFACTURING FLAW AND THEY DO NOTHING

NEVER BUY GE. The on/off button on my washing machine will not work - there is absoltely nothing wrong with the machine except for the button - which when you go on UTUBE to troubleshoot is a common problem with GE washing machines. It's ridiculous. Remove the panel and no access to the button. GE will not answer any of their customer support lines in Canada. I will never purchase anything from GE again.

Junk

GE went downhill with their products poorly made and customer service is absolutely horrible. I purchased a dryer a few weeks ago and all it does is squeak. Make noise and doesn't even dry to close. Warranty department claims.They don't have any repair servicemen in my area.

GE is impossible to reach and their washer/dryers are poor quality. Six months into owning a brand new set neither product works as they are designed to work. GE is impossible to reach. Their service techs are the first to admit the products are poor quality. I have reached out to GE in multiple ways and can't get a response from them.

The company Bodewell for GE

The company Bodewell that was given the job of reprogramming my dryer after a power failure cost me $185.92. That is ridiculous for the small amount of laptop computer time spent by technician to reprogram.
I feel ripped off…this dryer should not be so sensitive to power failure that it crashes….this will be my last GE product…used to have a great reputation.
I spent a lot for this dryer and being on fixed income I can’t afford these kind of issues.

Went to put my new bake element in oven…

Went to put my new bake element in oven get it pulled out and wires exposed and instead of a couple little screws it is crimped or something so I look on there web site and all the videos are with the screws easy breezy but nothing on what I have going on so I call customer service and am on the phone for almost an hour just to have the people that make these ovens tell me they would have to send a tec out to change the stupid bake element. I find this a ploy to make more money, I’m on SSI and can’t afford that. It’s bullshit….

GE has a horrible product

GE has a horrible product, every appliance I’ve had broke before it was five years old. I bought a camper that had GE A/C, before the camper was two years old, I had to replace the A/C four times. The only good thing I can say, is I’m glad they broke before the warranty was up, of course they keep replacing it with a GE piece of crap. They also won’t stand behind their product, so if something goes wrong, too bad.

Every time refrigerator handle breaks I have to purchase the kit which includes a freezer handle - WHY? I have a collection of freezer handles, what to I do with them? This policy SUCKS! I just want a handle for refrigerator. What a rip off!!! Another way to make money for NOTHING!
