This "company" is the example that made…

This "company" is the example that made me research all companies before buying.

I made a purchase and got the email confirmation that went straight to my junk. And then nothing.

Couple weeks went by, no follow up email. I then spotted their Covid post and someone demanding a refund so I started digging.

Their website has fake reviews and stolen images. It's since updated but don't let that fool you. The model who is supposedly wearing Arctic White, belongs to a different advertisement for a bronzer that was posted years prior. Do a reverse image search if you don't believe me.

They claimed to have been emailing me, but I called BS cos I check and clean my emails DAILY. I got my refund from PayPal, and the parcel still showed up. Cheap plastic packaging, a dodgy lamp, and the product itself is actually such a poor quality that you'll realise how much they jacked the price up from the wholesale cost.

They can't handle the criticisms so they'll block you and label you as a troll for being honest. This company has been flagged with the ACCC and rightfully so - they break several Australian Consumer Laws.

How ever many months later, and they try and take this review down, and many others. They haven't changed. Do your research.

Don't waste your time or your money.

Purchased start of May its now mid June and I still have nothing to show for it. After back and forth communication with Gel Bae I wasn't getting any answers so I told them I was going to request a refund via paypal to which they replied "Gel Bae will help as much as possible to trace a missing parcel,it is the customer's responsibility to follow up with the carrier. Gel Bae is not responsible for refunds of shipping costs of delayed shipping product availability." Toll the carrier told me they would update Gel Bae after the investigation to the whereabouts of my parcel and according to ACCC Law Gel Bae are responsible until I receive my package. I have now lodged a refund request via paypal and a complaint via ACCC

After 2 weeks I got my tracking number definitely not from Australia but from China, very pissed off, will never buy from them again god knows if or when I will get the kit I ordered, will keep you posted, I was trying to do the right thing and keep my money in Australia 🤬

Horrible Chinese made crap. The lamp is worth about $4. I ordered another kit direct from China and the quality was better then gel bae. Was called a troll and blocked when I questioned the quality.

Beware!

Unfortunately I can’t give a review on the actual product as it never arrived!
I’ve sent several messages and keep being told it’s on its way. The dispatch dates change constantly, the Toll delivery/order number changed twice and her excuses are piling up, she refuses to cancel my order and issue a refund.
Very untrustworthy. I would definitely not recommend and now I read hundreds of reviews much the same as mine. Shame on you for miss leading people. $84 down the drain!

I had an allergic reaction to this product.
It’s not something that normally happens to me but understand that you should patch test a product first, which I did not. I looked at every piece that was included in my starter kit and noticed that nothing has any ingredients listed. There is no ingredients listed online either. Considering this got shipped to me from China I’m concerned about the health and safety standards and I now have no idea what I’ve put on my nails. The product itself prior to the allergic reaction was not worthy of the cost.

So far all I’ve heard is lies. The product is branded and misleadingly marketed to make you believe its Australian, when I questioned that in an email they said they ran out here and it would be faster for them to ship it from CHINA which isn't true because the truth is that they are drop shipping from China with an Australian front and no one, not even them are stocking the product and they have none physically here in Australia. Pissed to the max as I waited for an Aussie stockist to have something and I could have just ordered Chinese ten weeks ago. Absolute crap artists and fake little hoes. My 1.2 million nail tutorial subscribers will be notified when I receive it who knows when as I just checked tracking and it’s still on the ground in China..... disgusting and so is getting your friends to write fake reviews and call honest people putting money in your pocket TROLLS

Bad quality products

Bad quality products, you do not get what you pay for and I am really disappointed. I ordered an extra slip solution, it came in a tinny plastic bottle which was not sealed properly, half of it spilled out. I will not be making another purchase!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THE ADVERTISING ON THE WEBSITE AS THE PHOTOS ARE MISLEADING!

Terrible service, weeks to months to arrive

Terrible service. Ordered nearly a month ago thinking it would arrive within a couple weeks as it is an Australian company. Turns out it took nearly two weeks before they even processed it. Only after waiting do I find out they are shipping it from China. At the moment the delivery times for China are in the months not weeks category and I am extremely upset that I was not told there would be extreme delays on my order. This was a gift, I now need to go buy from another company. Also refused refund and I’m sure will not want to reimburse the postage to return this crappy product. Buy off amazon instead, at least it will arrive in time.

Don't buy from here. I wish i seen these prior.
It has been absolute hell for 2 weeks now. Finally got a tracking number AFTER I requested a refund due to no response from any form of communication I made.
I Have requested another refund.
Afterpay cant do anything to help at this point.
If i get the product and its what is included and quality that was stated. Then I dont care paying for it. But if it doesn't match what they said or I don't receive my item. Ill be pretty disappointed in afterpay for not assisting and will most likely boycott afterpay.
I prefer afterpay over zippay but at the end od the day. At least zippay can help get refunds

I will come back and update when I know more

lies, damn lies and gel bae....

Unfortunately I can’t give it zero stars.

The products are coming from China, not Melbourne. When you finally do get a tracking number it’s not from Toll - it’s dpex as it’s coming from China, not Melbourne. The images, videos and models are from other accounts. And no, you are not going to get your products in 4-7 days.... as it’s coming from China!!!

Save your money and buy it direct from China yourself!

***UPDATE*** No, I’m not a troll. I’ve lodged a complaint with ACCC and Consumer Affairs Victoria regarding the misleading behaviour of this company.

Yup I think I just got sucked in too. Darn, wish I had read these reviews first. If you look deep enough into their website the terms and conditions are a joke. The email I received two days ago was from Serena as Director of Gelbae telling me about their overwhelming sales resulting in the product now having to be shipped from China, not Melbourne. Serena just happens to also be the name of someone who works at Brandsparkle, supposedly a marketing company who promotes products. Her email is at the bottom of the Terms and Conditions page. If you google Brandsparkle their website looks as dodgy. Both websites seem to have been set up recently. At least PayPal will intervene if products are not delivered but Afterpay say there is nothing they can do to help. I guess they take their commission so they don’t care. I’m not expecting to receive my requested refund or tracking number anytime soon. They show everything as being on sale as their refunds page says no refund on sale items. Hmmmm. Avoid!

Absolute joke!

Absolute joke!! Have been trying to get my tracking details for the last 5 days. They keep saying they will get it to me then nothing. No messages, emails or social media are being replied to. Requested a refund, again still nothing. They delete all from their social media pages of buyers asking where and what’s happening with their order. They’ve used other nail artists videos and pictures to promote their product. And they state it’s shipped from Melbourne. It’s not it’s coming from China!
Avoid at all costs!!!

ACCC please get involved here.

I really want to rate zero. Emailed about my delivery and was told it would ship over a week after my order. I still have heard nothing. ACCC needs to get involved, pretty sure they have breached the ACL..........
**Have now reported this to ACCC**.

**UPDATE:** have just received an email saying that the products are SOLD OUT. However, the website is still saying the products are available. The products ARE NOT from Hong Kong as stated, but rather coming from CHINA. It would appear that gelbae is covering lies with lies.

This company is using stolen content…

This company is using stolen content (videos and photos) from other people claiming it's their product in them. The original creators have lodged formal copyright claims on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram and advised they have not given permission for the site to use their work, they did not use their brand and they have never heard of the company.
Buyer beware of the very shady practice.
Any queries or comments asking where their parcel is or questioning their practices gets your comment deleted and your profile blocked. I have screenshots of the deleted comments and complaints.
