I would have given a five star review as the product is excellent and just what I wanted - but I tried unsuccessfully many times to make contact with the company regarding delivery etc but never had a reply. I was concerned that the company didn’t exist, but thankfully one morning totally unannounced the unit arrived…needed signing for, fortunately I was in! If only the company gave some advice on delivery etc, that would be good for everyone!

Absolutely stunning, superb-quality Richmond Oak Cabinet. The only thing is that I didn’t receive any updates from the company for a week, so I had to send an email asking for information. Once the item was dispatched, I received updates and also a phone call with details about the delivery time. Overall, it was a good experience with the service. Thank you. 🙂

I am very surprised at all the 4/5 star reviews for this company as I have recently ordered 2 shoes cabinets from this company via amazon and both have had to be returned due to damage and missing parts
On both units the back was not fixed to the unit with one of them looking as though at some point it had just been glued on and the shelf brackets were just loose in the bottom of the box with some missing and no screw for 1 of the door handles and the other screw was far to long for the handle making it impossible to fit the handle
I am now waiting for refunds on both items which seem to be taking a ridiculous time to process 2 weeks at least so I would certainly not recommend or buy from this company again

I was a bit worried as I didn’t receive a delivery date for a few days, but then received a phone call saying it was going to be delivered shortly. The item was well packaged & I am really pleased with my purchase.

Good quality chairs and bench. Both are comfortable . They were delivered with care and unpacked in situ.

My furniture had a very long journey to arrive here..most northerly town in England Berwick upon Tweed. Everything arrived in one piece, was well packaged and even though it was my mistake in presuming the wardrobe would already be assembled with some assistance from my son the owner of the company put it all together for me. That was much appreciated. I absolutely love my new bedroom furniture. It is well made and the quality is so much better than my previous stuff. Would be happy to order from GRO again.

This is beyond 5 stars!! I had been looking for 2 fully assembled sideboards to use as shoe storage for a long time, to fit into 2 small spaces. I couldn't find anything with the correct measurements, that was Solid Oak and would accommodate UK size 12 trainers, which measure 32cms in length. Therefore decided to look online.

I don't usually purchase furniture items online, as you can never be sure if they are structurally fit for purpose and the description and materials are genuine, in this case the description stated "Solid Oak, fully assembled" and the measurements were exactly what I needed.

I checked the reviews. One reviewer stated it was not fully assembled as they needed to fit the shelves and door knobs themselves. After much deliberation and searching on Amazon, I decided to order 2 of these, which arrived the next day.

They arrived very well packaged, I was amazed at the quality and outstanding finish, they are indeed completely Solid Oak all over, including the back of the sideboard, no vaneers, no MDF, no particle boards, completely SOLID OAK, hand made and finished to high standard, smooth, no scratches or dents either. They fitted the intended spaces perfectly.

The description says the depth is 35cms, which it is, I deduced therefore that a size 12 trainer (my sons size 12's measure 32cms in lenght) should hopefully fit. To my delight, the internal depth of the 2 shelves is 32cms. My sons trainers fit very well and the doors close nicely.

By the way the doors are soft close too, an added bonus, the door knobs are solid brass and not flimsy. The 2 shelves were packaged well, on top of the unit, these are separate for ease of delivery, and included are 8 little hooks, the holes for these are pre-drilled, it's a case of just pushing them in and the shelf sits on top. I used the handle of a screwdriver and lightly tapped them in. The door knobs are on the inside of the two doors, just turn them to take them out, place on the fronts of the doors, then just screw them in, I did this without using a screwdriver. Simple and easy to do.

By the way, you need to hold the shelf inside the cabinet first, then put the hooks in, rest shelf on top. I put the hooks in first, which meant the shelves wouldn't go in, very easy to just pull the hooks out. The shelves are designed for it all to be seamless and flush with the sides, and it is. You can comfortably fit 3 pairs of shoes on each shelf, depending on the size.

If your footwear measures 32cms in length, it will fit comfortably and the soft close doors will shut perfectly.

Suffice to say I am blown away by how perfect the units are, they look far more expensive then they were, considering they're solid oak all over, perfect finish, smooth and look attractive.

I will definitely order from this company again, they're UK based, so delivery would be fairly quick, the quality and finish is outstanding. Whoever in the company made these, did so with pride, you can just see that alot of work and craftsmanship went into handmaking these, they're just perfect. People have asked me which shop I bought them from too. I attached pictures on the Amazon site as part of my review.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this sideboard and I don't say that lightly given I'm a perfectionist.

Very happy. When we realised the company is with an hour from us, we were brought a chair to see if it matched our decor. It did and they are very comfortable. So we very happily bought 8 and collected them too, to prevent paying for shipping. Would highly recommend their very attentive service!

We had previously bought a shoe cupboard and were so impressed with the quality and finish that we needed a small unit for our bedroom and didn’t hesitate to buy when we found exactly what we wanted at a very reasonable price. The bonus is that the furniture come ready assembled, almost unique these days when everything else is flat pack and assemble yourself. Woukd highly recommend.

I was seeking a small grey cabinet that fit between my TV & fireplace wall to put photo albums in. I found the perfect item at GROFurniture, but it was out of stock. I emailed to ask if they would be getting more in stock. I got a quick response to say they may have one in Aylsbury. This was later confirmed. They advised me to select “collection” on checkout and they would cover the £20 delivery fee. The cabinet arrived a few days later. It’s a perfect fit, good quality oak & I was delighted with the service and the cabinet. A British company too, which is a bonus.

It's rare that I actually say a company went above and beyond, but this one certainly did. not only is the furniture first rate and looks stunning, the help and personal service/delivery was amazing. would recommend to anyone.

The furniture arrived a little later than expected but was told a realistic date when I chased it up. It arrived all cardboard and pkg taken away. The dressing table and bedside cabinet where great quality and reasonably priced. Really pleased with my purchase.

Excellent service and product great. Packed excellently and delivered on time. Would thoroughly recommend this company and I will certainly order from them again.

We ordered two bedside tables from GRO furniture.
To my surprise, the items arrived much quicker that was indicated and they used FED EX for delivery.
The quality of the bedside tables is very good; but it is the packaging that was stunning. The bedside tables were wrapped in protective materials and the inside of the boxes were completely full of protective cardboard.
The external part of the boxes were celotaped comprehensively and very secure. Overall, very impressed.

Item was as described ,it was delivered on time and was unpacked and sightd in my sitting room and it was excellent service very pleased thankyou.

The furniture is great very well made good quality .The delivery slow but I am in Scotland also one of the chest of drawers was damaged and had to be sent back The customers service was excellent Jason did everything he could to help .

I purchased this product following a house move to match another similar cabinet. It’s a very well made cabinet and fits perfectly.
