I needed replacement handles for a 20 year old door and thought that this could be difficult.
I found the handles without difficulty and the comprehensive details meant that I had confidence that they would fit.
The cost was very reasonable and the delivery was very quick.
I would have no hesitation buying from George Boyd again.

Great shop with good products at a decent price but they have one major issue and that’s serving you. You can stand in an empty shop for ages with staff walking about ignoring you. If your looking for a quick cheap and decent service then I’d advise to go across the road to Screwfix or if you have all day to loiter about go to Boyd’s.

Bought two items, one was perfect, the other had fixings the wrong size (I wanted something that fit the original holes on my door). When I spoke to them the customer service was excellent. Everyone I spoke to was so helpful and polite. They did everything possible to find me a replacement that would fit, I dealt with Kevin who even personally measured various products, nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the right fit so he promptly refunded me without question. Good prices, plenty of choice. Highly recommend this company.

Allan and David are professional guys with a vast knowledge of ironmongery. I regularly use them for my companies business and also for personal stuff as well. Really friendly and down to earth guys. If they don't have what your looking for, they get it in for you in a few days. Excellent service. I'm always proud to pass on their great name to people who I work and deal with. Super efficient Super professional Super easy to deal with. No nonsense guys with great advice.

George Boyd staff are a credit to their trade. I was overwhelmed when I recently took on a solo DIY project and from the advice of the fellas I walked away with the equipment I needed and a feeling of empowerment; ready to take on this project! Never did I feel they were being condescending or growing impatient with all my questions.

My first contact with George Boyd was with a BDM, Tony Quinn after he contacted our company, he put me in touch with the South Street Branch in Glasgow, the staff there are extremely helpful and have always gone above and beyond to source items for me, they always communicate well and keep me updated on timings for deliveries, would definitely recommend this company as transactions are smooth and on time

I visited a branch to look at door handles and with some great advice I ended up ordering some that day. They arrived very quickly and was extremely happy with my purchase.

I needed some handles for new doors in my house, the sales person took me through a few options and made sure I was getting everything I needed for the job.
What I wanted wasn't in stock so she ordered it for me and it was there the next day.
