George Fisher Reviews 

I bought some Fjallraven leggings today. I tried them on in George Fisher but then went to a few other stores in Keswick to compare colours and prices. George Fisher had what I wanted so I returned. I was thrilled that the assistant was still talking about her dental problem that was being discussed when I had been in earlier. Whilst the issue was no doubt unpleasant, having worked myself in retail, I did not think this was ‘shop floor’ conversation.

I was served by two assistants who then had the following conversation:
- these are great [leggings I was buying], did you get some?
- yeah. We were told for nothing but I got them for £20

I paid £155 so you can imagine how thrilled I was. As a local who regularly visits both Keswick and GF it will make me think whether to return in future.

Ordered a pair of Asolo boots and a Mountain Equipment jacket when our local Tiso was out of stock and the assistant suggested we try their parent company George Fisher.
On checking the website I found that i would get 10% discount so placed the order.
Communication was great, delivery was free and they arrived within 2 days to our remote location in the N of Scotland.
Highly recommended.

When my HOKA’s developed a fault in the heel, I called the shop and spoke with Sam ‘bring ‘em in and we’ll take a look to see what we can do’.

I brought my shoes back and Anita swapped them out straight away, no quibble & without debate, didn’t have to get approval from the store manager - just did it (not that brand though ✅).

Anita then went on to say; “Here’s a new receipt from today, any issues bring ‘em back for a refund’. This is what great customer service looks like 😊

I’d much prefer to buy in person, so keep on doing the do @georgefisher trust in your staff team who deliver spectacular as standard -

Ordered Aether AG 70 Backpack. Cancelled because of out of stock...

Took my wife in there shop today and found a jacket for her that was priced at £180. I asked the assistant if they did Ministry of Defence discount as most outdoor shops do. They came back saying no. I then went online and found the same jacket at Trekits reduced by £72 to £108 with free delivery. I spoke to them again but again they said no. So I ordered online with Trekits. Normally get 10% from outdoor shops but not this shop. So I wouldn’t shop here. Lost profit in this current climate

I think this business is running a scam. They have online a clearance pair of boots I bought. They then emailed that they had sold the last pair. However, they informed me I can buy a similar, non clearance pair they sell... How convenient. I asked if they would honor the discount and they refused. Still advertising online the other boots, now at a different lower price. Terrible way to treat people. I'm now out of pocket waiting on my refund.

Fantastic customer service from Wendy: I placed an order on the 22nd hoping it would arrive in time for Christmas, Wendy emailed me immediately to let me know it was unlikely due to the irrational, with 7 hour notice, lockdown of our area. She very helpfully arranged Royal Mail Special Delivery of the order without fuss and extremely efficiently. Many thanks, Wendy. Merry Christmas!

Fantastic Customer Service - when a product I ordered was out of stock they messaged to quickly rectify it - really lovely, human (!) team. Fast delivery and quick turn around on an exchange. Awesome sale. Also a great shop to visit in Keswick if you're in the area.

Bought an MSR tent online. Due to covid gave them a call to check on availability, deliveries etc. Call was to a std UK number and immediately spoke to a PERSON who actually KNEW what they were talking about on out-door gear. Already a +ve start. Stock check was "yes we have one on the shelf" in their PHYSICAL SHOP (not some remote warehouse). Delivery 2 days by courier from their shop in Keswick (not Germany or France and NO rubbish COVID delivery disclaimer get out statements), the tent arrived as promised.
All in all a top online retail experience dealing with engaged experts fronting their physical shop.

Great online shopping experience with George Fisher. Ordered a pair of trousers in their sale which arrived well packaged and as expected next day with good communications throughout. This is despite there being no promises made of next day delivery, so a very pleasant surprise.

The Keswick store is great and it's nice to see they've kept that same high quality service through to their online.

This is a stark and very welcome contrast from the hassles I'm having with a Cotswold Outdoors order.

I popped in here yesterday on the recommendation of another footwear specialist. I advised of my problem of very slender feet and after measuring me up they offered a selection of possible hiking boots that might work for me. No pressure and out I came with a very good deal and what seems to be the right boots. The service and attention was second to none. A well deserved reputation, well done the staff.
