If I could give them minus stars I would. I thought I was dealing directly with the hotel because of the interface of their website. When I saw the booking fees of nearly €150 I cancelled - within 2 m... See more

The worst company going
The worst company going , scammer 2k from me and the mrs for a hotel which we never received a confirmation email about and the room never existed , stay away from this shambles of company
Think twice . I will not use them again. I thought it was a con after booking and had to phone the Hilton to confirm the booking .
Re think the way you word things .
Very disappointed with GetARoom
Very disappointed with GetARoom. I accidentally booked a hotel in the wrong location and noticed it within 5 minutes. I reached out right away, but they refused to provide a refund or even a voucher. A company that doesn’t allow any flexibility for honest mistakes is not one I can trust or recommend.
This doubles as the official site of…
This doubles as the official site of the hotel, but its a fradulent site.tgey overcharge consumers by deception that your booking directly with legitimate hotel. They overcharge you $40.00 a day service charge, thats not on website...they got me...called thier customer service and they said that how we do buisness....deception...terrible company just looking to overcharge consumers...dont fo it...
I made the booking by calling a…
I made the booking by calling a UK-based number, believed to be located in Barnoldswick. However, after receiving my mobile bill from EE (my service provider), I discovered that the call had in fact been routed to the United States — without my knowledge or consent. This resulted in extremely high international call charges that more than doubled my usual monthly bill.
. To clarify, here are the charges I incurred on 14 June:
• 18:19 – 12 minutes: £57.46
• 20:52 – 4 minutes: £22.10
• 20:56 – 31 seconds: £4.42
• 20:59 – 31 seconds: £4.42
This totals £114.99 for less than 30 minutes of phone calls — a completely unreasonable and disproportionate cost. At no point during this process was I informed that my call would be rerouted internationally or that it would result in premium charges. Had this been made clear, I would never have proceeded.
Yrs I did contact them, and no subjectively I dont see that that will be clearly highlighting this issue of phone cost in the actual on line advertising r so the room may look reasonable but addin the cost of the phone call and its far from that
This site is a con
This site is a con. Do not use it. They charge significant fees. I booked a hotel and cancelled the booking, having realised I was paying a commission of 40 per cent of the room fee. I’m having a lot of trouble in getting the money back. They are confidence tricksters and should be removed from search engines.

Partly this was my fault but I really thought I was booking with Holiday Inn direct, turns out I wasnt.
Big additional charges.
Checked with the hotel and we do have a reservation so whilst not technically a scam site the experiance leads you to believe you are booking direct with the hotel.
leaves a bitter taste in the mouth - cant see a way to cancel.....
I have never had a worst experience in…
I have never had a worst experience in my travel. This was a complete rip off with the amount of money they took in commission which was not disclosed.
When I tried to contact the customer services, they said it had been discontinued
Do not ever use this service.

This outfit is a scam
This outfit is a scam. I thought I was on the hotel website but was taken to this one. I was charged half as much again as the room rate that was advertised and the hotel had no record of the reservation or knows of the company. It would not let me cancel even though cancellation was advertised. Do not be cheated.
Complete con
Complete con - advertised price of $160 which I was happy with. Then receive credit statement of $220.especially when other providers were advertising very similar price to $160. What they do is add a tax and a service fee of $70. You do not realise this until you get your confirmation / credit card statement….a complete con.

I would give this a negative if i could. TOTAL SCAM DO NOT USE.
Booked a room (thinking it was the hotel's website).
Canceled 1 week later (reservation is still 3 months out) and they had a non refundable clause and I lost my entire $375 reservation. Customer service read their bs cancellation policy and didn't help at all.
Total waste of time and this website needs to be shut down, absolute scumbags.
Scammers and frauds
Getaroom.com and Travelodge are fraudsters. The company operates a shocking practice that cheats people. I booked a 3 night stay in Travelodge on a flexi plan (cancellation option included) and was unaware that at the point of payment, I had been redirected to a 3rd party platform-Getaroom.com
I was charged £256.00 (not £85.00, as quoted) a cost which included a currency conversion of £92.00 to US dollars.
My frantic emails bounced back and the call line had only automated messages which then cut out.
Travelodge refuse to help as it is a third party platform; their CEO, Jo Bodell, denies any responsibility but still takes payment from Getaroom. Travelodge customer service are automons who bleat “no reference, no booking” and one who was rudely dismissive. Taking payment does make them complicit.
Getaroom.com seem to repeatedly operate this scam and companies keep receiving payments from them.
How can they be stopped?
Check and check again that any booking has not been redirected to Getaroom.com. Don’t use Travelodge as they support scamming potential customers.
This site is a fraud
This site is a fraud. Booked a room for $180. With all sorts of extras for tax it came to $360. When I got to the hotel there was no reservation. Tried to contact the company and there was no way to contact them and get money back. Complete fraud and scam. Stay far away from
Booked a hotel for some training
Booked a hotel for some training, the listed price was decent but then I saw that they had taken over £100 more in charges for the facility of booking.
Tax Recovery Charges£40.21
Service Fees£80.59
The reservation is not until September and they have already taken the money.
SCAM!!
SCAM!!! Email comes from ‘hotelvalues.com’ Made itself look like the hotel (holiday inn) direct website. My mother has fallen victim to a big overcharge. Shows the room as £99. Enters card details and finalises. Room charge is £153 - made up in hidden fees and taxes. Company is in the US or at least claims to be. Avoid avoid avoid. Can’t cancel as does not allow any refund. Rang bank and hoping they will help.
THE COMPANY SLAPPED ON AN EXTRA £60 ON…
THE COMPANY SLAPPED ON AN EXTRA £60 ON TOP OF THE ADVERTISED AMOUNT OF £123, CLAIMIMG IT AS "SERVICE FEES & TAX RECOVERY SERVICE"
Untrustworthy
When booking shows free cancellation until a given time is FALSE. I tried to cancel the room immediately after providing my credit card details (after realising that the price jumped up in price by about 25%) they denied the refund as I will lose all the money if I continue with the cancellation!!!!!!
scammers!!! beware of your money
scammers!!!! even though I cancelled my payment on my credit card, they pushed the reservation through and have taken the amount from my card.... call, call, call co-workers just read out a script, also it does not match what I say all for withdrawals and proof so to speak. I would be called back within 2 hours.... I have been waiting for 5 hours now....
Feels like such a scam
Feels like such a scam. I did not realize I was booking with a 3rd party. That is my mistake. I lost the price of one night stay even after spending forever on the phone with them. I'd avoid them at all cost. I am canceling my credit card I used for them because of how much this feels like a scam.
Dealing with bots not humans
I was directed from the original pub website to this website. While making a reservation I made an honest mistake and pressed the wrong date. Couldn’t change the reservation, no human contact. Computer says no. 😥 No friendly human to help.
