I dont recommend the Nexar One camera

I dont recommend the Nexar One camera, is not reliable. Purchased the camera back on November 2022. I have issues with the camera turning on and off all the time. Contacted support and their response was giving me a 25% off a new camera. I spent almost 400 when it came out and only lasted 3 years

There are no words to describe how bad…

There are no words to describe how bad and how selfish this company is.
My Dashcam stopped working 10 days before completing the 1y warranty period, it took me about 2 weeks to notice, but I still had proof if failed before the 1y time. They wasted my time for 3 weeks back and forth in support messages and then finally declined replacement the product claiming it was over the warranty period. And on top, refused to refund me for the 2 months of subscription I paid in which I was not able to use a broken product.

Big fan of Nexar - Yet, a poor design

I’ve been a big fan of Nexar for years — I’ve purchased three cameras (one for myself, one for my son, and one for my grandson). I really love how well Nexar works with the app, phone connectivity, and storage. The peace of mind it provides is priceless.

However, I cannot recommend the Nexar Beam 2 Mini. Unlike other models, it uses an adhesive mount without a quick-connect option. Living in Arizona, where removing items from direct heat is crucial, this design is a real problem. Even after working with Nexar’s excellent customer service (they truly were amazing), the issue wasn’t resolved. Unfortunately, the adhesive mount failed, and I found my camera on the floor of my car after the heat basically dissolved it.

So while I definitely recommend Nexar as a company and their other cameras, I cannot recommend the Beam 2 Mini because of its mounting design. I hope Nexar considers improving this in the future, because the camera itself has great potential.

Would've given it 0!

Would've given it 0!

Expected far better quality and support. After normal use, the mounting system snapped going over a speed bump — a clear hardware fault, not misuse.

When I contacted Nexar, I was told they “no longer offer international support” and couldn’t provide a replacement or solution, despite the fact they were happy to take my payment and ship to the UK originally.

Very disappointing experience and I won’t be recommending Nexar.

So I ordered a nexar Mini 2 from Amazon…

So I ordered a nexar Mini 2 from Amazon on May 24th they said it would be here on May 25th it was not as long as I ordered it within the time frame. Now iPhone nextr Pro which kind of suck because it did give me the 24/7 protection now I got to buy that package 24/7. It did not come here on time to my house through Amazon I canceled the purchase. And now that I'm here on trustpilot wow I'm so glad that I went ahead and cancel the order just wow. I'm so glad I canceled that order I won't ever buy from them again

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Failed When I Needed It Most

I purchased a Nexar dash cam thinking it would give me peace of mind on the road. Unfortunately, it completely failed me when it mattered most. I was involved in a car accident 14 days ago, and to my shock, the camera didn’t record any footage of the incident. That’s the one moment I actually needed it — and it simply wasn’t there for me.

Since then, all I’ve received from Nexar is a series of apologies and empty promises that “someone will get back to me.” Two weeks have gone by, and still no resolution, no explanation, no accountability — just more waiting.

If you're buying this for safety or evidence in case of an accident, think twice. What’s the point of a dash cam that doesn’t do its basic job? I expected better. Total disappointment.

I purchased a Nexar One Dash cam with: Connectivity and Cabin and cloud subscription

I purchased a Nexar One Dash cam with cabin and celluar option. I have had for over six months. It is a HUGE disapointment! THe equipement looks, feels and weighs in as it is well built design. It was easy to install but thats where it hits the breaks. Poor connectivity, It does not upload the video trips to the cloud automatically, and it frequently drops off line while driving. This product is unreliable. The only way to reach support is through the phone app. There is no phone number any where! No phone support. The warranty is 30 days and the cloud storage subscription is a waste of money. After haveing numerous extensive chats with the support team (which I suspect are bots) I am still without what I paid over 600.00 dollars. I cannot recoomend this product or its services.

It is trash

The product is simply disgusting. Horrible quality, terrible customer service. It is not worth it. And now I'm stuck with a POS equipment.

Dishonest, bad app, terrible support

Dishonest and bad customer service. They have no support phone number and insist that you go through their app. The app is burdensome to get support from. There are SO many prompts that come up before you are put in touch with an actual agent. The app also stops working periodically - while still charging you the $11.99 fee! Ridiculous. Additionally, the Nexar One was supposed to come out with a rear camera component. Nexar advertised as such. Only to turn around and create a NEW unit that includes the rear view, and try to deny that they ever said there would be a rear camera coming out for the Nexar One! They gaslit me hard. I DO NOT recommend this company. In fact, NOBODY should be buying a dashcam from ANY company that does not offer phone support. Just stay away from all of them.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service. They are quick to respond but do zero to resolve issues. My camera was not staying charged and therefore not recording. After over a month of emailing back and forth before saying “can I just get a replacement”, I was in a wreck. And guess what the camera didn’t capture? 🙄 I still have not heard anything from the company since my wreck (5 days).

Really bad company

Really bad company - camera does not work, service is poor, no one wants to talk, 14 days later I am still waiting for someone to support me. I would suggest you go to another provider - stay well away from these guys. Poor unethical company.

Good in theory

Good in theory. The app to camera connection was okay. Some aspects were hard to navigate and the parking incidents rarely ever uploaded to my phone unless i was sitting there with the app open (which I wasn’t going to do). The suction cup would often lose suction even with proper use, causing the camera to fall in the heat. I’ve had this dash cam for a little less than 3 years and the back has popped off exposing the insides though still functional. Finally, because the camera has repeatedly fallen, the cable no longer works. For the price point, you’d hope that it would last longer than 3 years. I reached out to Nexar to find a solution and the lack of the dash cam’s lifetime does not seem to be much of a concern though I used it as i should. They offered a discount, but I was so disappointed in the product I decided not to repurchase and that I would not buy one for my boyfriend for Christmas (which I was planning). The ones on Amazon are 3x cheaper and likely will give you similar if not the same results.

Please improve your product’s durability.

Avoid at all costs!!

I wish I’d never wasted my money on this dashcam brand! Their app and support are absolutely shocking. I have the Nexar Beam and it worked okay until I upgraded my phone. Since then (4 months) the app tells me I have multiple parking incidents but it won’t let me download them to my phone (no option to). I have wasted hours with support, proving that the camera is recording to the SD card and that my phone is set up correctly, I am not stupid but they treat you like you are proving that your data is turned on etc, and I have wasted hours deleting different apps and trying all their BS for it to still not work. Clearly they don’t have sufficient app support for an iPhone 14 Pro. The phone is set up exactly the same as my previous iPhone. And every time I speak to someone on chat they make me go through the same rigmarole. This issue is YOUR APP!!!! Not my brand new iPhone! I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, lol, what a joke. To log in the app has to send you a verification code to your mobile phone but it NEVER comes through. You can clearly see this is an issue for so many users online, yet they blame your phone. Funny how I receive verification codes every day multiple times a day for work and they don’t seem to have an issue coming through ever? Yet the issue must be my phone right? Even though your app is an absolute joke. So now I can’t get in the app at all. Avoid at all costs, else like me you’ll be replacing this dash cam with a better brand down the line.

Don't buy it. It doesn't work.

It consumes a hell of a lot battery (iPhone 12 pro), so, you just can't rely 100% on your phone to record the video, when quite often it didn't connect to the phone at all.

But what's worse for me is that, they marketed it to the UK Country, after a few months not using it, when I've tried to login to the app again, I've been told that they never supported the Country ! What? Really?

No problem, at least I've got the SD card recording right? Right?! Hmmm... No.

I've tried to open the SD Card on my Mac and it can't read the FileSytem format on it.

So, I can not use the app anymore and I can't check the videos from the SD card. Pointless product.

Waste of money. Do NOT buy it! It is NOT a reliable product! And THANK YOU I didn't have to use, otherwise I would be beating myself for this bad choice.

Waste of time and money

My name is Chelsea Kelly and I had the worst experience with this product and company. I ordered the Nexar beam in 2021. It “worked” for approximately 4 months. And by that measure I mean it sometimes connected to my phone. Maybe 50% of the time. Most of the time it failed to pick up footage during drives. And then it stopped connecting through the app.
I have had ZERO support from their customer service. It took my over a full year to even connect with their company. They do not have online chat or a phone number to call. Unprofessional. And telling of how the do not help customers.
After connecting with the customer service rep I explained that I needed a replacement. I have troubleshot the device many times over the last year. And they refused to acknowledge my request. They belittled me. And then when I had enough and asked for my money back they refused. They want me to screen share myself trouble shooting the device and I’m not able to. I have already tried every route of fixing the device myself hence why I need the company to look at themselves. This company is a scam and I’m sure they are not rated even lower because they do NOT let customers have access to customer service. I would strongly recommend you buy a device from a reputable company.

Fails when you need it most

So a driver ahead of me decided to swerve wide and attempt a u-turn straight into moving traffic. I crashed into the car to my left trying to avoid them, and later discovered my dashcam failed to even boot up! Power line connected, full battery, paired, all permissions enabled. I’ve noticed since buying last year that my Nexar is MOSTLY reliable, recording most drives. They market themselves as a set-it-and-forget-it solution and guess what, the one time I needed them most they failed. I will for sure be on the hook for a situation I did not cause, but cannot prove. Thanks Nexar, great product.

Camera Hasn't shipped 5 months later. Very poor communication

I pre-ordered one of their products, the Nexar One, which has been getting advertised since late 2021. I placed my pre-order in early December and was promised delivery by Christmas. It is now April and the product hasn't shipped. The company does not bother to send updates about shipping either - you have to email and ask, and they just respond with a "sorry, this is now delayed by another month. out of our hands."

I've had a bad experience with Nexar so…

I've had a bad experience with Nexar so far. (1) Can't access cockpit camera footage in recordings. (2) 3/5 recording that I've saved so far have visual artifacts/glitches/random 1-2 second pauses. (3) making a video clip from the app doesn't sync correctly with the video, for example if you made a clip on a video from 0:10 to 0:20 you'd instead get something weird like 0:16 to 0:26. Not getting Nexar for my next dash for sure unless at least my first two issues are solved, those are CRITICAL. I'm usually very forgiving on product reviews but I think those two issues are legitimate reasons to be upset.
