I was initially interested by the concept since I try to make sustainable choices when it comes to products I regularly rebuy. I've never got on with shampoo bars, so this idea looked excellent! I thought the price was reasonable considering salon products are much more expensive, the delivery was good, packaging excellent, and it was easy to put together. Full transparency, when I used the product for the first time I thought I had made a mistake because it didn't lather how I was used to shampoo lathering, so I didn't feel my hair was getting a clean. But once I dried it, my hair had never felt so clean, healthy, sleek and soft. I had a baby 9 months ago, and have suffered with postpartum hair loss and frizzy regrowth, and today, after using Selkie, I felt confident in my hair for the first time in months!

I had a problem with my subscription. I some how had two accounts. I problem was soon sorted. I was told when my next delivery would be.

Excellent customer service and top product. Took a while to get used to the amounts etc, but multiple people have commented on how much thicker my hair is, including my hair dresser!

Selkie is hands down the best natural beauty product I've tried. A lot of products I've used don't live up to what they promise, so I reluctantly revert back to mainstream brands. But Selkie has been so good for my hair, it lasts a long time, and the subscription process makes it so easy (plus the founder seems like a babe!!). 100% worth changing your habits for.

I have wavy/curly hair and have been looking for hair products that don’t leave my hair frizzy or damage it with chemicals, and I’ve finally found it! Their shampoo is one of the only ones I’ve used that I can brush my hair straight after using so don’t have to do it after conditioner. Found the best lather happened when I put a bit of water straight onto the product on my head. Also always ring my hair out before adding the conditioner and comes out great.

Hair feels clean for multiple days and always so shiny. If I leave it natural my curls always look amazing and no frizz! Would definitely recommend!!

I'm trying to remove chemicals / micro-plastics from all products (makeup, cleaning etc) - this is my first time trying a sustainable shampoo / conditioner and I'm obsessed! It feels a bit different at first since it doesn’t lather like regular shampoos - but it's crazy to think that effect is only because of all the chemicals.

So glad I've finally found a natural ingredient, toxic-free shampoo that makes my hair feel great too. Just if you have fine hair like me, make sure to give it an extra rinse.

I wanted to love this, however each time I used the shampoo & conditioner the condition of my hair became progressively worse, really dry, no shine at all & increasingly itchy scalp , so thank but no thanks as it is a great idea but the quality of the products will depend on the water!

I have been so impressed with Selkie that I have now subscribed so that I can receive my Shampoo & Conditioner every 6 weeks. Not only is this convenient, but I know I am helping the planet in a small way by reducing my use of single use plastic. Best of all my hair is looking AMAZING!! Love it.

I really wanted to love this product because the concept aligns so well with my values. I was excited to try it as soon as it arrived, and the mixing process was simple and straightforward, which I liked.

Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. I have long, straight hair, and it took four washes before my hair finally felt somewhat close to clean. Even then, my hair felt heavy, sticky, and not truly clean. The shampoo doesn’t foam much, so I needed to use a lot of product to cover all my hair. It was also quite difficult to rinse out and required a lot of water - which, ironically, felt wasteful. The conditioner was even more disappointing. It didn’t provide any moisture, and brushing my hair afterward was such a struggle.

I truly wanted this to work for me because I love the idea behind it, but sadly, the results just weren’t there.

I really struggle to find something that looks after my dry, curly, menopause hair but Selkie nails it. Selkie has the best price and best products I’ve used (among many including Wow, Coco & Eve, Olaplex, Canti, Boucleme, Flora & Coil etc) and it’s sustainably green. Love it! I love that it’s water-free and low packaging. It’s understated and the bottles are distinctly average but don’t be put off - the pumps work work well to deliver their amazing products!
My hair feels and looks softer and frizz is now controlled.
I use the conditioner and shampoo and will use these exclusively.
Easy to use - no complex routines - for softer, well nourished hair. What’s not to love!? It’s truly good stuff and should be shouted about.
It might sound like I’ve been paid to say this because I’m gushing about it so much, but I promise, I’m not and I have no links. I just LOVE this stuff.

These hair products are lovely for my curly hair. It definitely helps my hair feel cleaner for longer and less frizzy.

Love it and so simply sustainable

My hair is super thick and continuously malting, I have over the years every time I was my hair been pulling handfuls out at a time. Also the amount of shampoo I had to use to even get my hair clean was costing a fortune and the plastic throw away was so excessive! I have been using selkie for approximately 4 weeks now and my hair is cleaner for longer and I have less hair loss, I am also having people comment on my hair when out and about aswell.

Hi there! I’m a new Selkie Hair user. It’s been about two weeks now. Has anyone else noticed their hair being more knotty than normal and their scalp becoming very tender?
My hair is fuller than usual, which is great. I’m not experiencing any stickiness that others have mentioned but there’s some uncomfortableness with my usually normal skin and my hair doesn’t feel smooth, although it is thicker.
I like the ethos of the product.
Should I keep going with my perseverance?

Can't believe the results!!!

I have always had a dry and flaky scalp and tried many different shampoos and conditioners to try and fix the issue. As soon as I tried Selkie for the first time I knew I had finally found a fix. My hair feels amazing and my dry scalp has gone away. The story of the business as well is amazing, I would massively recommend this product/brand to anyone.

Kinder shampoo and conditioner that really work. The Selkie products have helped my long parched frizzy hair become healthier, hydrated and easier to style. The shampoo leaves the hair with a feeling of being deep cleaned allowing the conditioner to moisturise giving defined curls back to my hair that had become frizzy with product build up. My hair is left feeling soft, looking healthy and smelling clean and fresh. Selkie has managed to deliver a natural product that has worked for me.

Selkie’s shampoo and conditioner is working wonders for my wavy/curly hair so far (it’s been a month). I’m particular about the products I use due to harmful synthetics and environmental impact. Selkie meets my criteria- the only thing I’d love more is a shampoo bar that has the quality that matches (or is superior to) their current shampoo.
